Got out of the Army (82nd Airborne) 7 years ago and my body is a wreck. Went in to get a massage because my back has been murderous all week. This place was the only one with availability. I was worried because I am 6 foot 3 and 240 lbs and need someone who doesn't need a forklift to move my leg. When I called, I could hear how tiny the lady was over the phone which did not make me confident in how this would go. But again, it was the only place that could take me same day. The little lady in there can hold her own! She put her elbows to use when more pressure was needed and I could feel it for sure. My back pain is not gone but it feels so much better. My siblings and I made a reservation for a couples massage for our parents. We made reservations online and I had my brother drop them off and pick them up. Massage was okay, but my brother forgot to go in and tip when picking them up. So while I was at work, my phone was being blown up with nasty messages of them insulting us, saying my father smelled (we are Arabic and he used google translate to look up the word "disgusted" and texted it to me) and even called me, cussing me out. Let me just say that I am always adamant about tipping, I myself am a server and understand how important it is to tip, but I would never treat a customer/client like this. Also, I've never heard someone give a "suggested tip amount" and then claim that it was mandatory??!! Just wanted to send a warning out there that these people are expecting $50 tips on top of $200 services and if you don't, they will get very nasty with you. read more

We had filled out a paper beforehand about areas of concern, and they actually took this into consideration. While looking forward to relaxing, my massage was not enjoyable. My masseuse answered her phone not once, but twice during my hour. Phone volume up, answering and talking on the phone. I remember specifically wondering if something was wrong and that's why she answered but she was laughing and chatting it up. Quality wise my massage was fine sure. Scheduled a couples massage for my wife and me to celebrate our 16 year wedding anniversary. Showed up 10 minutes early and they said they didn't have our appointment. The person in the store called the owner and then handed me her personal cell phone to talk to this random person on the phone which was incredibly awkward. I explained that I had a confirmation email for our appointment and he just apologized and said he didn't get it. He offered to reschedule for next week.... our anniversary is today, not next week! Incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. The person that greeted us in the store had oil all over her hands, it looked like she was the only person there working. Should we expect to have our massage interrupted if someone were to come in? Visiting the area and we decided to schedule an appointment with this place for a massage, my friend had a wonderful experience.... but as for me I didn't the lady i had was rough and knew I was tense. I told her to massage lighter one time and sighed at me like it was a huge problem that I didn't like that she was pounding me like she was tenderizing meat. It felt like she was breaking my back even more and when massages my neck I almost cried because it was so painful. Wish it could've been a much better experience for me. read more

I just visited this spa on Monday 3/20/2023 with my partner for a couples massage. We had a male and a female masseuse. My partner had the female and her massage was great and she had no complaints. I on the other hand ended up with a completely red and bruised back! I selected a medium massage but definitely got a firm. I was in so much pain afterwards I could not move the next day. I am having chest pain as well as a result of the pressure to my back. There was not much focus given to the other areas of my body. I was never asked how I was doing throughout the process, the masseuse threw my arms down when he first came into the room instead of laying them down gently. When we left the male asked if we wanted to leave a tip I told him an amount he badgered me into paying more even though I said gratitude is suggested based on service so clearly I didn't want to pay more for pain but I also didn't want a confrontation. I had another excellent experience at Serenity Spa a few days ago and wanted to leave a review. This was my 3rd time visiting. I went in for a 90 minute sports/ deep tissue massage and was not disappointed. I work a very strenuous job that requires a lot of heavy lifting so my upper back and shoulders often hurt. I have had many sports/ deep tissue massages at other places with little to no improvement. The staff here are all very experienced with most of them having 10+ years in the industry so they have many different techniques than most other walk in spas don't offer. I had Jen working on me and cannot say enough about her performance. I went from hunched over barley being able to turn my head back to 100% in 2 days. Not only are the sports/ deep tissue massages amazing all their other services are as well. My wife has been twice for their sensual and hot stone massages and will give the same recommendation that I do. They do not lack facility wise either. The building is very clean and neat and the tables are very nice. Thank you again Serenity for the excellent service and I look forward to future visits! read more
