I have long hair and other stylists I have gone to would only give me layers at the bottom, but not Leah! She took the time to listen and understand what I wanted and even offered advice and options for different facial framing and bangs that were suited to my face and type of hair. Then she worked her magic and I couldn't be more pleased! As soon as we were done and I saw what she did, I had to ask her to send me pictures so that I could show my mom who has been sick of hearing me cry and complain after every haircut, but not this one! She was so impressed that now she wants to get her haircut by Leah, as well! Also, the salon itself is quite nice. Good atmosphere; clean; everyone was wearing masks and practicing Covid-safety. During our phone conversations, I found her communication to be dismissive and unnecessarily confrontational. It was only after I provided time-stamped photographs documenting my hair immediately after the service that my concerns were taken more seriously. I understand that hair services can sometimes require adjustments, but I expect a professional salon to listen carefully to what a client requests, communicate clearly throughout the process, and take responsibility when the result falls significantly short of those expectations. I said no, your site on Yelp says "walk ins are welcome" and she said no, that's not true, I'm not sure which site you looked at but that's not correct. I was turned away and told you use the website to book an appointment. At that moment, I no longer felt welcomed. I would highly suggest the owner review what they have on the Yelp page because this is a site that many individuals use when searching for services. For what I thought would be a great experience turned out to be a bad one.
