Kelly gave me the best haircut of my life (and I'm 69!) last week while passing through Mishawaka on the way home from vacation. My daughter and I stopped on a whim and were fortunate to be squeezed in for appointments. My daughter got a beautiful hair color and treatment and I went from long hair to short. I went to Serenity Salon to get a gel mani pedi for a wedding I was going to as a bridesmaid and the gel nails on my toes looked nothing like the picture I showed and my French manicure was so messy. The staff was so kind, but unfortunately I was not happy with the quality of work for $60 each service. One of my gel nails on my toe came off the next day and I went to another nail salon to get my French manicure fixed. I should've asked for a refund. read more

Another example of why I adore this salon. Their customer service is unmatched. Called me to tell me the stylist I was booked with was going over and offered me a new time or a new stylist. Being that I book stuff last minute usually and my schedule changes, I was more than willing to be flexible as possible with them. I ended up with a haircut from Katelyn, who worked with me through my long term hair goals as well as short term services to make my hair look its best. I had three services done at this salon. Libby administered her very fast version of a mani/pedi. They charge $15 for French tipping...per service! Evidently to deter people from ordering it! Amanda trimmed my hair, and I love it! She asked me questions about my likes and dislikes prior to the service. She paid attention to me and it was a great experience! I love Serenity. I came here years ago because of a Groupon for a pedicure, and kept coming back because it is truly a hidden gem. A full service (not slackin on the FULL aspect) salon, they offer something for everyone. If you are somewhat introverted like me, the option of booking online and a "silent haircut" is very convenient. A professional *CLEAN* place to come relax, the staff here leaves you feeling renewed and beautiful every time. I have never had a less than excellent experience here. I always look forward to catching up with Amanda and Libby- they make sure to explain things as they are performing them, how to maintain my service after I leave the salon, and even accommodate my smoke breaks. Emily Carr is indisputably the best masseuse in the area- and I have been to MANY. They offer so many great products from every line you can imagine, and the atmosphere is serene, as the name insists. Coffee, water, and champagne are complimentary, and services can be customized to your specific needs and expectations. Standard salon prices, but you will certainly get every penny's worth. I have gone back and forth about writing this review. I've seen Kelly (owner) on and off for over 20 years and never had a problem. Recently I had an appointment for a hair cut ( I have super short hair). I know prices are getting higher everywhere, but when I was checking out and paying, I was given a total that was just a few dollars more than what I paid in the past. Not mad about that, but the fact that normally her price includes a shampoo and cut and style, I was confused as to why I was charged full price for JUST a haircut. Anyway, when I got home and after washing my hair again to style my hair, I noticed that my hair needed to be cut a little further. I NEVER go back to say "hey, i'm sorry, but I need a little more cut", but it did not look good. They did get me back in quickly, so that was nice. But when I got there, I apologized for doing this and Kelly didn't seem too happy and made me feel uncomfortable. When she was done.... and didn't even style my hair so I could see if it was what I wanted, she left and went in the back room and never came back out. I was like "what?", I get treated like this after going to her for so long. NOT HAPPY. I got home and my hair is so short and chopped up. I go to Vegas next week and I feel so ugly. I'll be wearing hats for a long time! I guess I am finding a new salon because obviously she doesn't care to keep long time customers! So sad really. read more

I recently called to ask if there was an open appointment for later that day as I was going to be in Mishawaka for another appointment. Kelly worked me in and and I SO thankful that I made that call! FINALLY, a stylist who understands my fine, straight hair! I showed her a few pics and asked her to use her experience and judgement. I love my cut and new style! Normally a stylist cuts and styles your hair and send you out the door. She took so much time building in texture and volume and actually listening and talking with me. My hair is so easy to work with now! I've spent the past year trying to find a local stylist in Warsaw. I never thought I'd drive an hour to get my hair cut, but that's my new plan. I called to make an appointment and tried to use a gift card for a CBD Pedicure that I had that expired December 2021. The woman that answered advised me that they would need to check with Kelly the owner to see if the could honor it. The woman called me back and said they could only honor $28 that I paid for it. Very disappointed that with the pandemic in full force and people only recently being vaccinated and businesses fully opening they wouldn't honor the CBD Pedicure. I love this place. Beautiful atmosphere and all the services that I had got here are amazing. I go to Emily for all my massages. She is truly a 'MAGICIAN' i would say.Aromatherapy is the best service according to me. Every single time after my massage I come out very relaxed, less anxious and positive. Last week I had my second hair cut by Kelly at Serenity and I love it. Apparently I'm not the only one who loves it...2 complete strangers approached me over the weekend to tell me they liked my hair and ask where I got it done. The funny thing is, that's how I ended up with Kelly at Serenity. I'd seen a woman (middle-aged but not frumpy...stylish, as I hope others would consider me to be) whose look I admired. I stopped her to ask where she had her hair done (something I've only done once before). She raved about Serenity Salon, which is why I ended up there in the first place.
