Being winter, weather postponed the work until conditions were satisfactory for doing a good job and Daryl was terrific about keeping in touch with us about when his crew would perform the work. I contacted Mid Valley Drain, as well as a few other companies, about getting a quote. James immediately answered the phone and said he could be out first thing the next morning. He showed up on time and by that afternoon I had a detailed quote with multiple options, all broken down by parts and price. Not only was I impressed by the detailed quote, I was very impressed by the price. The next morning James and his team were hard at work trenching my backyard. He had a team of 3 and they worked from 8 AM to 6 PM non-stop. I was impressed with their work ethic and the speed at which they got things done. 2 days later (4 days after calling for a quote), the job was done, and my issues were solved. We have not had any issues since the French drain went in. I've had a lot of bad experiences with contractors over the years, but James and his team at Mid Valley Drain were a breath of fresh air. Their price was fair, they worked hard, and did a great job! Highly recommend these guys!

The house in question is Victorian style, 2 1/2 stories tall, with numerous gables, dormers, a turret with curves, and an octagon shaped porch. It was covered with the original shakes, and needed plywood installed before the new roof went down. This is to emphasize the scope and complexity of the job. There was a 4 day window of good weather. The contractor showed up Monday AM with about 6 vehicles, including 2 or 3 support rigs that held porta-jon and cleanup tools, another just for ladders and rigging, etc. Very organized and professional. 13 workers to start with. Each day's progress was nothing short of amazing. No one ever slacked off, yet morale seemed high. The jobsite was cleaned each evening. They were completely finished by noon Thursday, just barely beating the rain. The finished work looks very good. I was made aware of the cost by my neighbor. Judging be the size, scope, and difficulty of the job, and the speed of completion and quality of work done, I'd say it was a very reasonable price.
