The Williamsburg salt spa offers a relaxing escape that feels both calming and a little unique…read morecompared to your typical spa visit. The highlight of course is the salt therapy rooms quiet softly lit spaces where you can unwind while breathing in micronized salt air, which many people find helpful for stress relief and respiratory comfort The atmosphere leans towards tranquil and minimal, with a focus on creating a peaceful almost meditative experience. The staff are welcoming and explain the process well which is helpful for your first time. You do leave your phone and purses backpacks etc outside of the room either in your car or they have lockers to keep it a peaceful experience I was fortunate that it was the last one of the evening so I asked if I could take some photos after the fact

I had the relaxing massage with an added foot treatment. The table was heated and warm and my massage therapist Jody was respectful and professional. It was fantastic. My muscles are still relaxed and my feet are still super soft. After the massage I did a 45 minute session in the salt cave. Check out the website and articles written about it. I was so relaxed after my massage I really enjoyed the time spent with my eyes closed and my feet up, breathing deeply in the cave. Highly recommend this experience.

I went here with a bridal party to have our hair/make-up done for that days wedding…read more We all brought in picture of updo's that we wanted which didn't seem too complicated. They were all a little different but we all seemed to walk away with the same "prom ball" as each other. From the front it looked as if I had a helmet of hair (and felt like it too) and in the back there was a ball of curls pinned tightly in the center of my head. This is not at all what I had showed them in the picture and I looked like a crazy Texan mama. (I'm 28) The make-up was not much better although it was livable I guess. The mineral make-up was nice but when it came to picking colors for the girls I don't think the artist I had knew what she was doing. I ended up with silvery pink make-up which washed out my features and went oh so well along with the crazy helmet hair. However, the brides make-up was beautiful so maybe the quality of the make-up application just depends on who you get. The real shocker was the price. It was already overpriced at $120 for the hair and make-up (up from normal prices since we were with a bridal party) and then they charged one bridesmaid $10 more than another girl. When asked about this they said that different hair stylists have different prices. When we explained that we didn't get to choose our stylist, they were just assigned to us, they just shrugged and said that some are more expensive than others. That is ridiculous as we weren't told that beforehand and we were given no choice. I would not go here again if someone paid me. I could have done a better job on my hair myself for sure.

We were here for a bridal event…read more Beverage service - they offered wine, mimosas and water. No coffee, no tea. Great if I wasn't pregnant or wanted to get a buzz on before noon. Manicure/pedicure: the lotions and sugar scrub was nice. The end results were not great. Nothing was done to my cuticles other than putting oil on them, and the nail technician left polish all over the sides of the fingers. My pedicure was decent - still only 2-star worthy. The worst part was this poor job for a lot of $$$. A mani/pedi was $75 - I can get a better job done in my hometown for less than half that price. Hair: I had no issues with the end result (although I agree with the other reviewer on the helmet-like results and all bridesmaids did end up with 'dos that were identical despite no one consulting with one another that we were going to go that route). Beach photos were taken about 8 hours later...not a hair was out of place the rest of the night. Guess that is a bonus! Make-up: No complaints on the end result. What did skeeve me out was the use of the pencils and brushes over and over again on everyone. It all seemed highly unsanitary! I did not pay for my hair/make-up, but the original price I was quoted seemed quite fair. In fact, I believe it was less than the mani/pedi!
