Professional, thorough, and friendly. Couldn't ask for a better experience in a dentist chair. Recommend highly.

This is my forever dentist and I recommend them to everyone that is looking for a dental office…read more I tried a "chain" location and they said I had early periodontal disease and would not clean my teeth until I paid over $500 for treatment. The chain location dug into my gums and made them bleed. Held me there for a consultation for 2 hours but I finally walked out because I needed to get to work. Went to Patriot and they said there was a little bone loss due to they type of toothbrush I used in the past (hard bristle brush) and my age but they didn't see what I had as an issue if I flossed better and used a softer toothbrush . They performed a water cleaning below the gums and did a full cleaning as well. I walked out with very clean teeth and NO PAIN OR BLEEDING! And no expense treatment plan to pay for! Staff and dentist are so friendly and make you feel at home and welcomed. You're not a number here... You're family!

I recently moved my elderly parents here and needed a new dentist for them. They have worked with me to get them seen. I only wish they would ask patients to wear masks. Although a sign is posted on the door, it's not enforced. The gentleman in the waiting room has been blowing his nose a lot. Allergies? IDK. Wear a mask!

I was referred by my dentist for a root canal. As with any dental procedure, I was anxious and not…read moreexcited, but I'm so glad I was sent here over any other place. I read amazing things about Dr. Horwat prior to my visit, and they were telling the truth. He was absolutely amazing, quick, and very personable. He and Katie made me comfortable and it was such a great experience. The women at the front were also kind and super pleasant. Overall, I can't believe how painless and nice this procedure/experience was!

I scheduled a root canal with anesthesia about 3 months in advance. This of course required an…read moreAnesthetist. There was sufficient, though not overwhelming, communication between the office and myself. I completed all paperwork well in advance of my appointment. At no time during this communication was I told that I must have someone present DURING my procedure. I was told I couldn't drive myself home after the root canal even though I have done so with invasive (rotator cuff & L5 laminectomy) surgeries in the past. No need to argue so I made arrangements to be brought by my son and then picked up by my wife afterward. So I arrive and check in. My son left and immediately I was approached about why he left. I explained he had to go to work and was only dropping me off. The staff quickly informed me that the dentist could not do the root canal without me having a family member present. I shared that my wife was coming later to get me. They checked with the dentist and he said that wasn't good enough; they needed someone present the whole time. My wife was planning on arriving about 10am which would have been sufficient time for the procedure and me to recover somewhat. They asked if she could come immediately, to which I said no. They continued to go back and forth with the dentist, Sandlin, who refused to change his mind about a family member being present. At no time was this EVER shared with me that I MUST have a family member present DURING my root canal. It is absolutely absurd! What could my family member do that trained "medical professionals" couldn't do if he screwed up? Would they wheel me into the waiting room and ask my wife to do cardiopulmonary resuscitation? So I asked that. What would you do if I experienced any kind of life-threatening event? The answer, "well, we would call for an ambulance." Duh! Ya think? My follow-up question was, "would you consult my wife about attempting CPR before calling an ambulance?" The answer, "no." Again, duh!!! So, what is the reason for requiring my wife or any family member to be present? No answer. Blank stares. Are you grasping this? So, I immediately demand a refund of my already paid-in-advance fee of over $2000. Their long answer was ridiculous so here is their ultimate short version...we'll request a refund processed through our corporate office and that should take no longer than 2 to 4 weeks. On top of that the girl said there will be a fee for canceling services today. SERIOUSLY??? You're going to charge me a fee for not informing me of this ridiculous requirement of having a CPR-trained family member present during whole procedure? And sure enough they did; they charged me $225 for the privilege of being treated like yesterday's trash. No root canal. No satisfaction. No apologies. Just a "kick in the teeth" by a dentist. I ended up Ubering home which was another $30 out of my pocket to add insult to injury. My recommendation is twofold. One, make sure you have full and total transparency from the doctor/dentist, and two, don't use Bluegrass Endodontics. They do not care about integrity in their word or how they treat people, and certainly are about the almighty dollar and let the patient be damned.
