I had a lovely time at Serenity. When you first walk into the lobby it doesn't seem like much but their space is actually pretty large and very relaxing. Their massage tables were soft and cozy and their foot soaking bench area was beautifully designed with a relaxing water fountain. For our anniversary, my husband gifted me a full package experience complete with foot and leg scrub, hand paraffin wax, full body massage and even a warm oil scalp massage. My massage therapist was Jesus and he was great. One of the best masseurs I've ever had. He helped me with my lower back pain/sciatica pain that was eased almost instantly. He was always asking me how the pressure was and how the temperature felt. Whenever I get a massage I usually just stay quiet the entire time and just endure whatever I'm given but he made sure I was comfortable every step of the way and I wasn't embarrassed to speak up. We had a lovely conversation as he was treating me to the foot scrub and then when it was time for the massage he was professional and ensured I was relaxed so I could enjoy the experience. Nothing is worse than a Chatty Cathy talking your ear off through a massage, haha. I will definitely be back and will request Jesus again. I was hesitant on the 5* review only because there isn't a shower and because I've been to some of the best spas in the world. When I think of a 5* spa I think of MGM grand LV. But this is, after all, a day spa...so for what it is, it's definitely top of the line. Can't wait to come back! read more

Since moving to their new location off 72nd, I've really enjoyed their new spot! It's more open and closer to feeling like other spas that I've visited. I have been going to this spa for at least the last 5+ years. The prices had been reasonable and I have been able to schedule online or via phone call without issues. However, I do wish their website is more updated, it's not very mobile friendly and their website isn't as clear as others. There are a lot of 'old' packages listed, like dependent on the holidays but still listed. I question if that means it is looked over or not updated as often as it should. I request that below each package or massage, there is a description attached to make it clearer to help narrow my choices. So far, I've always utilized Kim (the owner) and Hongxu for my massages. There have been others previously that I've also liked, but no longer are there. I did try a facial with Cassandra that I tried to like, but I was a little disappointed with the lack of direction as it was my first facial with her and unsure of what to expect, how to wear the 'robe/towel', and not much discussion of my goal or what she would be doing during the facial. I believe a little 'heads up' or 'intro' would be appreciative, or even a refresher. I would imagine that each therapist is different, as each client is as well. Overall, she was nice and approachable, so I was able to ask her my own questions. I understand at the time of me trying her out, she was newer to the establishment. I may try her again in the future. All in all, I would recommend others to try this place out! I have even bought friends and family gift cards to have them enjoy it themselves! read more

Went back as I said I would! I did have a different provider which was Hongxu and she did amazing! Felt so relaxed after and she listens to what specific areas have been bothering you. I thought I would not enjoy it as much given that I would be wearing a mask the entire time but it did not bother me at all. Highly recommend, especially during this stressful time. read more

If you need a really deep tissue massage, ask for Rob. I've only ever gotten massages from other women, so I felt a little awkward about going in to see Rob for my massgae. But it turns out it was exactly what I needed. He was very professional and it was by far the best deep tissue massage I've ever had. I mean, it hurt a lot but that's because I had so many knots that I never knew I had! Rob spent time working the problem areas I knew I had and found tight muscles I wasn't even aware of. Who knew I had knots in my hand muscles? I didnt. He even figured out that I clench my teeth because a certain area of my neck was tight. I was impressed. Long days with poor body mechanics in the OR has left my back aching, and I decided to treat myself to a deep tissue massage. Robbin was professional, warm, responsive, and highly skilled. She really listened to what I needed and did an excellent job targeting my problem areas. On March 9 my 3 sisters and I did the Party Package at Serenity Day Spa, and it was amazing. We all had the Simple Pleasures package, and what great value for the price! Beautiful relaxing atmosphere, fun start as a group with foot soaksand rubs, parafin hand wraps and tea, then we split to our individual rooms for the most relaxing massage I've ever had. All of us loved our therapists - sorry I don't remember all their names. Mine was Kim and she was fantastic. Very professional, thorough, and talented. Just had the Tension Tamer with Danna. It was lovely! For 80$ I got an hour's worth of hot oil scalp treatment/massage, salt scrub and massage on arms and back, and Danna gave me a great neck and shoulder rub. I chose this one because I've been getting tension headaches this week and hoped this would help (it did!). Note: the tension tamer option is way at the bottom of the online menu options - I would have missed it except I was keyword searching on the page! (I got a bit overwhelmed by all their menu choices) I wasn't sure about the salt scrub part, but it was my favorite! It was like someone was gently scratching my back, and I feel incredibly relaxed now. Plus hot towels are used to remove the scrub and the wet heat was also very soothing and relaxing. Danna was welcoming and accommodating- she met me at the front, offered water, turned down the music and turned up the heat for me, and checked in regularly during the massage to make sure I was comfortable. The spa itself is also welcoming - good atmosphere: earth tones, low lighting, smells good, and looks good. This is the second massage I've had here - both have been with different providers and both have been good, which makes me feel like the overall quality is high across the board. I enjoy trying different services with different providers, but I would definitely do this one with Danna again! read more

I have been to this spa on several occasions. Depending on her mood the owner is either really nice or really rude. I have heard her several times treat her employees unfairly. She once during a massage started talking bad to me about past massage therapists. A therapist I happened to really enjoy. She is very unprofessional at times and my massage is always shortened.
