After reading a review from Lizz N. about her terrible service at Happy Nails I'm leaving one for my wife. On Monday she called ahead to find out if she could walk in or needed an appointment. They said come on down. Immediately as she walked in with only 1 other customer in the shop she was rudely asked if she had an appointment. The employee, who we didn't get her name, said she really didn't even want to be there. It was obvious she didn't like her job. When my wife asked her a question about doing her pedicure she would bark back at her, "I don't like doing your nails". I'm not sure why my wife didn't walk out then. So, this is my second Yelp nails fail. Yelp said this establishment had good reviews and service. As someone who can speak Viet, I walked in and asked if they accepted walk-ins for two manicures as I was with my niece. She shared they could and we were directed into seats, I had a woman who was clearly upset and did not like her job she was not only rude, she was horrible for my nails. You pay for a manicure but it's basically a nail change there is no cuticule care, no hand massage, no happy nail technician and sure as heck not a good sheliac set. You can see in my photos that they did only two coats and you can see how the color isn't vibrant. Sheliac manicure was $35 for me and $25 for my niece and we left a 29% tip. Do not come here expecting nice or good service. Ask someone you know who gets there nails done in Yakima where they go not Yelp. read more

Overall i've never been to happy nails in my lifetime in yakima and it's safe to say i didn't miss anything. I would give this pedicure a 3/5 just because the end result was acceptable. The nail tech asked me how much i pay for a pedicures where i normally go and i've never had that happen so i think i gave myself a set price... The lady who did my feet hardly even massaged my legs and didn't touch my feet at all. Evidently the nail tech who did my mothers feet next to me acceded all expectations so i guess it just depends on who you get. Very happy....was from out of town and daughter treated me. We were running late for our appointment due to work and when we called they were understanding. We were the last appointment of the day and still provided excellent customer service. Very thorough making sure we got what we wanted and asked for. Clean salon and worth the visit. My nail artist moved away after two years of perfect work. I was referred to Tom by my cousin and I am very glad I tried him. This is my 3d visit and he does a great job. I'm staying with Tom. I went in for a full set and walked out extremely disappointed. The guy seemed to be in a hurry and cut my nails crooked and one shorter than the other, then tried to tell me it looked okay. He put on the acrylic way too thick and did a horrible job at shaping my nails. I had to go home and try to fix them myself. I came from Michigan and this was the first nail salon I found in Yakima. They did such a great job on my nails! They have never been so perfect ever! The shellac polish they use is so pretty and shiny. My nail tech was a male I forgot the name, sorry, but he was so meticulous and took time to make sure I was really happy with my nails.
