I initially had a CONFIRMED appointment (for GROUPON mani/pedi) for Dec 19, 2014 at 12:15 PM…read more I arrived at the salon 5 minutes ago and found myself waiting for about 25 minutes. Nobody was checking to see if I was being serviced. However, I understood this as the salon was very busy. Then, I walked to the front desk, and another extra 15 minutes later, I was told that another lady (who was having mani / pedi at that time) responded that, for some reason, she said yes to their question: "Hi, are you XXX?". Unfortunately, the business was packed for the holidays so they could not re-schedule me until the end of December. However, the biggest reason I chose not to go back to the place is that I did "overhear" them saying that I was mistakenly booked for NOVEMBER 19, 2014 (instead of DEC 19, 2014). But, the owner decided to blame the "other lady" (as above). The owner mentioned that she's sorry ( she wasn't apologetic AT ALL) and offered if I wanted free service. I refused. I understand the owner is trying to leave a good image of her business. Also, the "other lady" was finishing up her pedicure when I arrived at the salon at 12:10 P.M. and was beginning her manicure while all of this was going on, so I definitely knew the owner was not telling the true story. Overall, I was disappointed how she handled the situation. I understand mistakes DO happen and I would've honestly re-booked my appointment if the situation was handled more professionally. That's why I refused to re-book my appointment.

It will take years to grow it back. I loved my long hair I am so sad. I wanted my hair to be healthy for my upcoming trip to Barbados. I feel like my vacation will be ruined by my ugly long Bob. It is so drastic and not at all what I wanted. It looks uneven and choppy. I just wish I could turn back time and NOT GO HERE!!!!!! If the stylist who cut my hair reads this I am sorry for the harsh review (you seemed nice) but if you don't know how much 2 inches is you should check with your client BEFORE YOU CUT! I wanted to say something when you started but what was the point when you'd already cut a big chunk out. I hate it worst hair cut I have ever had.

I went in and got an awesome pedicure and then also had a massage booked. The women who did my massage I don't think usually works there, I will say in the spas defence. She did not ask me any info on what type of massage I wanted and didn't have me sign or do the paperwork you usually get to give some background info or areas of concern. The room was very cold there was no spa music playing or relaxation oils. The massage itself was very light and awkward. I did ask for more pressure but didn't get any and she kept bumping into things in the background . I felt this person just may not have had a lot of experience. She didn't have an eye mask for me and had to leave the room to go get one , she also kept bumping off the eye mask and eventually she just left it off. I left with a head ache and felt I needed a massage after my massage. I went home and took some Advil after the massage due to my headache I want to say that generally I love su Casa spa ! And will keep going again for other treatments but would unfortunately would not recommend a massage by this person :( I feel bad even writing this post but it was actually that unenjoyable I felt compelled. In general the massage left very disjointed and not professional.

I called around and was able to get in for an appointment at Canvas at the time and day I needed so that was how I ended up choosing this place over another. I was so impressed with Canvas Hair Salon and Marina in particular, I felt I had to write a review so others like me could find out about them. The interior is welcoming and modern but not overdone and soothing music is played while you're there. The products are excellent and the services are well priced. I absolutely do not feel like I am compromising or missing out on something I might get from a Vancouver salon. This place is top notch and I will definitely be coming back here and seeing Marina for my next hair cut.

At the time there debit machine was down so they took a copy of my credit card and said they would put it through once it was working again. So the lady asked me to call her back after I checked my statements and I had gone away for a couple days, so before I even had the chance to check and call back she went ahead and processed it anyways. I find this very unprofessional. They should have offered me a discount or something considering it was their screw up. Never going back here now for sure and I don't recommend this place to anyone.
