I went to Candi about 4 months ago to get a trim and when she was done, I looked in the mirror and…read morenoticed there was about a 2 inch wide swath of hair missing on the right side, having been cut about 6 inches shorter than the rest of my hair. As soon as I noticed this, Candi's reaction was to say, "just grow, grow, grow". I was really confused and distracted by this statement and she moved onto another topic immediately so I thought nothing more of it until I got home. I thought it must have been all in my head. Once I was home, I looked again and yes, I had been right, there was a patch of hair about 2 inches wide missing on the right side! I called, texted and finally reached Candi and she was extremely defensive. I told her I wanted hair extensions to conceal the problem. Again, she was very defensive. I walked into the salon finally, without an appointment, and politely confronted her so that she couldn't avoid me any longer. She tried to tell me that the hair was missing due to breakage and not due to any fault of her own. Strange... I walked in with hair and walked out without it! She conceded though and put in 4 hair extension pieces to disguise the missing hair, free of charge. Fast-forward 4 months and I went back for another haircut. I know, right? I should've learned the last time but I really liked Candi and wanted to believe in her. My goal was to have the old extensions removed, new extensions put in and cut my hair to a reasonable length so that the next time I came in, the extensions could be removed and the remaining length cut so that everything blended well together without me having to lose many inches of my hair all in one shot. Candi refused to put in replacement extensions even though the other ones had grown out about 2 inches and needed to be replaced. Plus, she passed me off to her apprentice for my haircut!!! Her apprentice?! Candi was my hairdresser, not her apprentice! Now, her apprentice is a very sweet young girl, but she should not be touching anyone's hair yet. She had no idea how to remove extensions and ended up causing breakage to that area of my hair because she kept combing, yanking and tugging the glue out, breaking my hair as she went. She also had no idea how to style hair. I was mortified to walk out of there looking like that, which has never happened, so I threw a hat on and drove straight home and fixed it myself. I paid the money and left but will never be back, have stopped referring people there and have changed my 5 star rating of Candi's salon to 2 stars. I ended up going to another salon in Chilliwack and, in order to even out my hair, 8" was cut off! 8 inches!!! All due to the negligence of the staff at iCandi. I ended up spending another $50 to fix the mistakes that ICandi caused in the first place. I highly recommend that you do not go to iCandi. A woman's hair affects her self-confidence. If your hair doesn't look good, you won't feel good about yourself. Don't put yourself through what I went through. There are so many more salons in Chilliwack to choose from.

Each person is an independent business, so you have to go to the website to find the right person for you. They also have their own beauty team that does hair and makeup for weddings and events. They put on thick chunks of eyelashes (really) that were clumpy and made me look like Betty Boop. They were so phoney and ugly that when I left I sat in my car and cried. Finally I went back in and told them to please make them a little less horrible if possible. They crowed over my extensions even though you could see in their eyes that they did a terrible job and I looked ridiculous. They tried to fix them a little but their hearts weren't in it/they didn't care. Later, these lashes fell out in clumps and took my natural lashes with them. What a nightmare.

Tara has had my $380.00 for 12 days. She just keeps saying the return has been processed! No compassion for the situation for me. Difficult to communicate with as the voice recording does not allow you to leave a message you can only communicate by email‼ Then no return for a couple of days. The unexpected withdrawal of almost $400 has left my bank account a mess. I have asked Tara to do the right thing after almost two weeks and write me a check to my account and no response. The bank is saying it will be another 10 business days before the $380.00 could be returned. I get paid social security once a month so what she has done is unkind and unprofessional. I will take her to small claims court if I only have that as an option
