They said they were consulting their attorney.... Don't know the pit one of that... It's unfortunate because my other vendors and venues worked with me the best way they could. Grand Island Mansion provided a full refund for my wedding, my photographer provided a partial refund and offered me a credit to use for other photograph services, videographer full refund, florist provided a partial refund and a credit for future services, hair/makeup full refund, AirbnB refund etc. I just don't think they handled this well..never heard from them & we're out over $750 for services never rendered do to no fault of either parties. I understand businesses were doing the best they could to survive but there was no follow through or communication to come to a mutual agreement.

Not only did they help bring some of our crazy ideas to fruition, they also offered some unique ideas to make the night memorable as well. My only regret is that I didn't take advantage of all the special things they offered. They were great with coordinating our wedding and worked seamlessly with our venue and other vendors. It was raining on the day of our wedding, so Doug and Dara scrambled to move us back and forth between our original outside venue and an inside option. Ultimately, we were able to make the outdoor ceremony work. Thank goodness we had them to coordinate with everybody. She really kept me and my husband from feeling the stress . The ceremony sound was perfect! Doug provided all the microphones for my now husband, our officiant, and wedding singer; they worked flawlessly throughout. And as a result, our wedding videographer was able to capture our wedding vows clearly and with no drop offs. Inside the ballroom for the reception, the lights they provided were fantastic! They illuminated the room and really captured the mood of the night. Soft calming colors were used during dinner and speeches, but when it was dance time, the club lights came out. TJ was referred to us by several of my former business friends. Everyone had great things to say…read moreabout his professionalism and his personality, so we were pretty confident going into our first meeting with him. During our first meeting we discussed all of the logistics -- basically how he goes about organizing the game plan for the day of the wedding, because let's face it, the DJ basically controls the flow and the vibe of the entire day! Everything TJ had to say was great, and he was excellently priced, so we decided to contract with him. A few weeks before the wedding we met to go over the worksheet he had given us to fill out that listed all of the songs we wanted for each part of the wedding (i.e. which song to walk down the aisle to, which song will be for the first dance, which songs for the garter/bouquet toss etc.). Those choices were made SO MUCH easier by his "top picks" list that had a great mix of classical, romantic, or classic rock picks. We chose to go for the funny/classic rock choices - like Another One Bites the Dust for the main entrance song. Got a good laugh! After that meeting, he worked out the final schedule for us, which I then sent all of the other vendors so that everyone knew the plan. On the day of the wedding, he arrived early to set up for both the ceremony and the reception. He outfitted our officiant with a lapel mic and did a sound check (and pep talk =D) with her. He played some classical music before the ceremony, asked the guests to turn off their cell phones, and then we were off to the races. I don't remember everything from the ceremony, but I do remember that I was impressed with how well you could hear our officiant's voice - which is important for a group of 150 outdoors. Everything went great during the ceremony, and then he proceeded to entertain the guests while we took photos, and by entertain I mean he did LIVE vocals. How cool is that!?! Then the party got started! We had a trivia game to help excuse tables for eating (because there is really no way to serve 150 people instantaneously in a buffet line) that helped pass the time. And then we moved on to the cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss, and classic group dances - Conga, anyone? Also, TJ brought his own lights that really created a dance party atmosphere in the venue! We had a great time, and I have received so many complements from my friends and family about TJ. Everyone had a blast and was very impressed. So may people have said it was the best wedding they've ever been to, and TJ was a huge part of that!
