There was no communication between staff, poor communication between the management and us as clients, employees were unsure of their own roles and our provided "day of coordinator" had zero idea how to coordinate a wedding and I as the bride had to keep the day moving and tell her what to do next. (Even though we came up with a typical schedule together.) The management didn't know the size of the tables available at this location, and at our rehearsal the day before our wedding, we were told that we had to redo our whole seating chart because the tables were actually smaller than we knew. The food was brought up all the way from Sacramento in a U-haul truck, which was visible to the ceremony site during the ceremony. Half of our guests got sick afterwards. The food menus they gave to us to select catering from did not reflect what was actually available either. The chef took our selections down with a sticky note, and they lost that sticky note. They had to call us to confirm our choices. Choices we had to change AGAIN because the menu changed again. I even had to fight to have a decorated cake, and even then it ended up being extremely minimalist by design. More than once our wedding detail consultation dates had to be changed in favor of weddings that were much larger than our smaller event. They basically left our event planning to the very last minute. 2 months in advance. We spent $500 on liquor and sodas for people who didn't care for our pre-fabricated signature drinks (old fashioned's and French 75's) but the venue provided bartender never even touched those supplies. Instead, he opened up all of our red wine bottles at once, giving no thought for guest demand. We had to throw out half of the untouched wine bottles at the end of the night. Our guests had ZERO idea that there were more drink options. Please save yourselves and get married somewhere else. We are haunted by this experience.

I had a few ideas of how I wanted the night to go and Sue helped to make that possible at her gorgeous log cabin venue. I had quite a few things to set up and Sue allowed us in early to take care of the setup so we weren't rushing and stressed right before the event. The holiday decor was transformed from Christmas trees to classy and elegant whites and golds for my event colors/theme. Everything was beautiful and the tri-tip buffet was delicious!! I would love to have another event at the Sierra Banquet Center! Thank you Sue (and your team) for all that you did to make my dads celebration so memorable!

She was professional, on top of communication, easy to talk to, and above all, an amazing photographer. My husband and I are so grateful that she photographed our wedding. Christie sent us a detailed plan for photographing the wedding day and altered it throughout the day as needed. I was blown away by her ability to adapt to our needs. For example, our caterer was 2 hours late and I think Christie could see I was on the verge of breaking and suggested we do some couple's photos on our own for a little bit. It was exactly what I needed to figure out what we were going to do. The photos she took off on our own after the ceremony are some of my favorites. We just got our photos back and I am pretty much obsessed with looking at them. While planning our daughters first birthday party, we decided we wanted to get a balloon twister…read more First we checked craigslist and found a couple services that were kinda ghetto looking and found a couple that looked good. One of the ones we really liked was already booked for the date we wanted but recommended we call Judy at Le Beau Balloon. She was not the cheapest nor the most expensive choice we had, but felt she was the right choice after the recommendation and after looking at her website and seeing pictures of some of her balloon twisting. After booking her services Judy said she had many different outfits she could come in. Our party was Minnie Mouse themed and she said she would try to get a minnie mouse costume to wear to our party. She showed up in a minnie mouse outfit, this was a nice extra touch. Everyone at our party really enjoyed her balloon characters and the swords she made. Our party was from 2-4, we rented a building for a couple hours. She showed up at 1:45 to set up and twisted balloons non stop until 4:00. The party was the first week in April and every time I see someone that was there they tell me how much fun they had, and how much fun their kids had, and how great that balloon twister was and how cool it was she came in the minnie mouse costume. She did a great job and I recommend Le Beau Balloon if you need entertainment for a kids party or any other occasion. We will definitely use her services again.

When we had our first intro call, as predicted, we were hiring the coolest person that was going to do a great job and match our vibe. We officially met him in person at our engagement shot in the Bay Area and had a great time together. Chase delivered epic photos and continued to deliver at our recent wedding! At the end of our wedding day, he presented us with Polaroids of our day which was an unexpected surprise and excellent touch! Our partnership was totally by…read morechance - the primary photographer that we hired was looking locally for a second photographer and ended up picking Chase. We are so so incredibly fortunate that she did! Chase was super professional, easy to talk to, and his work is phenomenal. He also had some unique ideas for poses/shots while we were doing our sunset photos. Since we had him present at the wedding as a photographer, we had NO idea that his primary work is in videography! Unbeknownst to us, Chase had taken a few short videos for us, and ended up stitching the clips together in a fabulous short reel. We did not hire a videographer for our wedding, but now we certainly wished we did! I'm so grateful that Chase was able to capture a few candid moments for us, and create a reel that we can look back on forever. It was honestly such a generous gesture - which just shows how great it is to work with him.
