Hi! I am not…read moreinspired often to write reviews (good or bad). However, I feel the exceptional service I received from Valley Sanitation Services in Kemptville, Ontario should be noted. Earlier in the summer I was informed that my 39 year old septic field was dead. The prices I heard to fix it were pretty scary. After having contacted more than a few companies to solicit bids on the job based on my engineering plan from Kollaard Associates Inc., Valley Sanitation was the first to give me a quote with four references, as I requested. Their price was very reasonable compared to the others. The references were glowing. I gave the company the job. I am so happy I did! The owner was personable and straightforward. There to answer my questions. The workman were exceptionally considerate. For example, they had to dig out an old vegetable garden in the back and they preserved my asparagus, which they dug out carefuly and then replanted without me asking so it would survive. They did minimal damage to my flower beds and patio stones in the very tight area where they had to install the tanks. When they re-attached my clothesline, it was better than new! It's a long established company and I was very happy to note that they never offered me a cash price to avoid paying taxes. Social responsibility is another exceptional quality in my view. A couple days later, before the guy was planned to show up, she called to cancel because she didn't want to dig anything up yet. The secretary said no problem. Then the guy shows up, a day early, and gave my mother a bill for $600 for his time. My mom refused to pay. Now they are bringing my mother to the board for 900 dollars!! To make it worse, the other guy my mom called used a camera to go in the septic tank, which cost like nothing, and found out there was nothing wrong with the tank. These guys are crooks. Don't use them!
