Earlier in the summer I was informed that my 39 year old septic field was dead. The prices I heard to fix it were pretty scary. After having contacted more than a few companies to solicit bids on the job based on my engineering plan from Kollaard Associates Inc., Valley Sanitation was the first to give me a quote with four references, as I requested. Their price was very reasonable compared to the others. The references were glowing. I gave the company the job. I am so happy I did! The owner was personable and straightforward. There to answer my questions. The workman were exceptionally considerate. For example, they had to dig out an old vegetable garden in the back and they preserved my asparagus, which they dug out carefuly and then replanted without me asking so it would survive. They did minimal damage to my flower beds and patio stones in the very tight area where they had to install the tanks. When they re-attached my clothesline, it was better than new! It's a long established company and I was very happy to note that they never offered me a cash price to avoid paying taxes. Social responsibility is another exceptional quality in my view. I was having trouble with my septic and figured it needed pumping. I called Duane and he came out…read morethe next day to pump it out but he noticed it wasn't completely full and went the extra step to see what was causing my problem. He discovered a pipe that was plugged and proceeded to unplug it for me. He then informed me that the pipe should be replaced but would be ok for the moment so I will be having him back to do that also. If he hadn't went the extra step, I could have been facing a major problem down the road with no idea what was wrong.
