The station itself is non-existent except for something akin to a bug shelter. There is no ticket office and there is only a money box for you to insert quarters (or an envelope for money). Following the directions on the SEPTA website, I did park my car for several nights at this station as I took the train to the airport - you basically need to insert an envelope and check into the parking payment thing that clearly states your car and how many nights you will be parked. Seems a bit primitive given our technology these days, but hey it worked! This is also the last stop in Zone 3, so anything beyond this is Zone 4 pricing which is a few bucks higher.

There is parking but it's normally filled up with people commuting towards Philly. If you do want to park there, make sure to take quarters with you (4 to be exact) and find the big, thin, inconspicuous box with coin slots to drop in your quarters into the appropriate number to pay for parking. It's $1/day so that's nice. Also, make sure to take with you cash to pay for your fare because the train conductors don't take credit cards. Trains are normally not on time (aka late anywhere from 2-3 mins to 15-20 mins). This is what passes as public transportation here.

Parking is the usual $1 per day and there are electronic machines were you pay, but note that they do not accept credit cards, so bring some coins with you. There is a ticket office here that is open at times for purchasing tickets and has a small waiting area and a bathroom. If the ticket office is closed, then no bathrooms available and tickets will have to be purchased onboard. No food or beverage for sale within the ticket office, so you'll have to get your morning coffee elsewhere. There is a Wawa not too far up the street.

A tour director that is taking the easy way out by calling a guest instead of the family directly to have a conversation. My mother booked a bus tour/Norwegian Cruise tour with a group of old friends that was supposed to leave in September. Sadly, my mother recently passed away, but during the fight of her life she "missed" the cancellation day for Starr tours. Under these extenuating circumstances you would think a company would put people over profits. Not Starr tours. They are doubling down. When I called to plead with them a woman named Sandy kept referring to their policy instead of having compassion. She kept passing the buck saying it's not in her "scope" to make those kinds of decisions. When I asked to speak to someone who can make those decisions she decided to shield her bosses and say they aren't available. All she could end the conversation with was "try to have a better day." It was a cold conversation. Try to have a better day? I don't know how these people sleep at night. I hope their money keeps them warm at night. BTW Norwegian has a 30 day cancellation policy, so they have a chance to get money back out of this, but they clearly aren't working hard enough. I decided to take a trip to their company building to plead with them further. Sandy answered the door and reluctantly let me in after realizing who I was. I gave a copy of the death certificate and once again pleaded my case. I was given the same lip service, but that the person who could help me further wouldn't be in for the rest of the week. I patiently waited for a phone call from a Chris and still haven't received a call. If it's the same person this Chris called my mothers friend on the trip instead of me to let her know she would have to pay extra (over $1,300) for single occupancy on the trip OR we would have to find someone to buy my mothers trip (around $1,800). NO phone call to me as of yet. Also how do you do this to a grieving friend? They were friends for almost 60 years! How can these people be so cowardly? Where is the compassion? In the last few weeks I have had to deal with the unexpected loss of my mother and all of the funeral plans. Spending countless hours of time making the calls to various places to make them aware of her death and this company has the guts to do this. In the bio of the company the owner Sandy sounded so relatable. Her and her husband Pete had to fight, scratch and claw to keep their livelihood and company that her father built from the ground up alive during the pandemic. My mother fought so hard to save her life. I'm so sorry she couldn't call your company on time because she was too busy trying to live. In business you can't always point to policy. Beyond policy, how can you treat people like this and think it's ok? I hope the owner reads and fixes this because the staff is only making a terrible tragedy even worse! Don't force a grieving family to have to peddle my mothers trip. Do the RIGHT thing. Truly heartless and painful experience!

Parking is $8/day here if you don't have a parking pass. I think the parking permit is…read more$294/quarter. Both not bad options and much cheaper than other stations. Spending most of my life a little further north, New Brunswick train station was my go to. The parking lots there charge hourly unless you can find street parking or it's Sunday. This being a cheap option, especially since most are still on a hybrid commuting schedule, it may also be an option to not have to get a parking permit, so that's a win! The station is well lit and there is a nice amount of traction during commuting hours which is nice so you don't feel alone. The platform is outside so dress appropriately for the weather.

As the ONLY train station in Princeton Junction, maybe it's time to update my review. Pre-pandemic this station was subject to horrendous overcrowding and grossly inadequate parking for the Wall Street bedroom community money changers that rose pre-dawn for their daily migration into lower Manhattan. Currently, with WFH still lingering and the exit of many financial houses to the tax free climes of Florida, parking is far easier and in true close the barn door after the horses have run off fashion, a new multi-level parking deck is being constructed to accommodate the waning demand. As for the station, I would offer that clubbing and reverie is not what you're here for. A small coffee shop, ticket machines and wooden benches are your VIP amenities and IF (and it's a big if) the trains are on-time it's 60 minutes (more or less) into the bowels of Penn Station. All aboard, or should I just say, bored. Decent and functional snares four stars for the Junction. In any case, it still beats driving by a mile.

It has capacious parking (that's a word, right?) and is walking distance to the burgeoning Ambler nightlife scene. Can pop in here and grab a bite or a drank and hop right back on the choo choo and get where you're going. I take of because it's really difficult to figure out how to pay for a train pass and parking and pickup is only available on one side of the station. But overall the station is great.
