To make matters worse, her off-putting attitude made the entire experience deeply unpleasant. She deflects accountability and tries to make you feel like you are the problem, rather than acknowledging her own poor technique. Poor communication and delays: It took me over 5 months to schedule a filler appointment last year because the manager, Mai, did not respond to my repeated emails (attached). I only got a response once I called the office, and even then, it felt like I was chasing them just to give them my business. 2. Inconsistent and misleading pricing: I was originally quoted $575 for under-eye filler in writing (attached) but was later charged $700 for the same service. This inconsistency in pricing is unacceptable, especially when it is clearly documented in their own emails. 3. Clinic-to-clinic confusion - I was quoted $1,500 for 2 syringes of PDGF in Park Ridge ($3,000 for 4), but later told by Millburn staff that their baseline price was actually $1,800 for 2 syringes. Most importantly, when I specifically asked Park Ridge if the 20% off promo at Millburn would apply to the same service and was told yes, no one told me that Millburn's pricing was higher. That critical detail should have been mentioned upfront so I could make an informed decision. Overall, between the lack of responsiveness, the long wait just to schedule, and the bait-and-switch style pricing, I cannot recommend SkinSpirit. Patients deserve transparency, consistency, and respect for their time, none of which I experienced here.

There are a ton of spas in Bergen County, but none that I would give five stars to other than…read moreSerene. Melissa is wonderful, and the entire experience at Serene is absolutely perfect, starting from the moment you walk in the door. Serene is an organic spa, which is NOT easy to find in Bergen County, although spas are a dime a dozen. Knowing that natural products are going to be put on your body was a huge selling point for me, and I could not be happier with my experiences at Serene. Entering Serene is like entering a really chic boho type boutique. There are items for sale ranging from skincare products, to bags, clothing and jewelry, most (if not all) made by women around the US, which I love. It truly is a peaceful way to begin the spa experience - or find a unique gift to pick up for someone. I've now gone twice for a facial, and both times have not booked a specific type of facial, I've asked Melissa for whatever she thinks will work best for my skin. She delivers beyond anything I could choose off the menu and is so knowledgeable about exactly what your skin needs to look the best it possibly can. Melissa explains what she's putting on your face at each step of the process, what the product itself is made of, and what it will help with in regards to your skin. Other than that, this is not a spa experience where you have someone who is constantly talking to you - Melissa works her magic and allows you to lay back and completely and totally relax. She is incredibly diligent with the extraction part of the facial as well, and even after my first facial with her, I noticed a huge difference in my skin that has now stuck over the months (it's even better following a second session, and I truly believe will just continue to improve). My facials have consisted of fruit peels (I believe a berry peel and then a grape peel at my most recent session), which smell delicious and WORK, though without the redness of a chemical peel that lasts for days following. The peels I have gotten are $85/session, and worth every single penny. There are other more basic facials as well that are a bit lower in price. Another thing I love about Serene is that there is no pushing of products on you - I always ask for recommendations on what I can buy to continue working on skin health, and Melissa is happy to make recommendations, but she also gives samples versus encouraging you to buy a full-sized product right off the bat. I did buy a softening chocolate mask that smells delicious (literally like chocolate) and works wonders ($20, and I've had it for 3 months at this point, with a ton stil left!). I will continue to frequent Serene because the experience is so peaceful, Melissa is so wonderful and personable, and I leave with a noticeable difference in my skin. Can't wait for my next session!

Spavia is located in nice plaza off of NJ 17. There is ample parking. The entrance was a bit tight (space) but it was beautifully set up and peaceful. The front desk was small but efficient. When I finished changing into my robe I went into the relaxation room and waited for my masseuse to pick me up. I scheduled the ultimate massage. Chris my masseuse was wonderful. There are times when you want Zen -- Botanical Spa can provide that (I've been going here for…read moreyears!!!) But then there are times you want to kick back and have a great chat with wonderful staff, like you are longtime girlfriends getting together to gossip. Botanical Spa & Salon offers everything you could want. My husband and I have enjoyed massages there, both couples and alone. This was the first time they accommodated me and I got a mani/pedi done my Carol. It's her place and the pride she takes in her staff and her work is unbelievable. Carol wants to listen to your needs and your day (like an therapist who is doing your cuticles). She catered to my needs and understood I'm not a girly girl, so getting my nails done in gray and blue was a super treat. She spent time to listen and to laugh -- she and her staff (super high 5s for Nicole and Sandra at the front desk) were unbelievably fun and excited for us to have a great time. Having folks who want you to have a good time and the best possible spa experience makes the entire experience more than a treat. You want to go back because, like Cheers, everyone knows your name and everyone knows your aches and pains and if you want pretty blue on your toes! The Botanical is inside the Marriott so parking is not an issue. Always try to call a day or two ahead of time to get the time you want (even though they accommodated us since we were coming in from out of town). They are not pushy with buying "extra" services or supplies or goodies -- they advise you if you like what they used or what you smell (the place always smells incredible). They are on time and courteous if running late. You will feel like a million bucks without paying a million bucks. The pricing is more than fair and the results are absolutely wonderful! I cannot thank everyone at the Botanical for being caring and being a lot of fun. If this is your first or your sixtieth massage you are in for a treat. Take the time and make yourself feel indulged!

We found the Botanical Spa & Salon on Amazon Local. So to make sure we could use the deal immediately (as in next day), I called before purchasing to make sure they would accept it. The guy told me that I didn't need to buy the deal and they would honor the price. You would just pay them instead of paying Amazon, so that's what we did. They happened to have a slot open so the timing worked for us. Turns out, it wasn't actually a couples massage. You're actually in separate, adjoining rooms, and they just leave that door open. That's fine but if that's the case, they shouldn't advertise it as a "couples massage." Other than that, the massage was nice - nothing to complain about, but also nothing to write home about. The deal also included an add-on service, which was either a back scrub or a foot mask. I opted for the back scrub. They were a little rough on that but it was worth it because my back felt really smooth afterwards. With a massage, you also get access to their fitness center, hot tub, and pool. There's also a locker room and showers but the showers are pretty dismal-looking. One of the two doesn't even have a soap/shampoo dispenser. I probably wouldn't be back because the facilities didn't seem too spa-like (especially when you're sharing with hotel guests, since it's located within the Marriott). Plus, I feel like I could find a better deal elsewhere.

Redeeming online deals are always a tricky business because you never know if you'll receive the same service and reception as a full-paying customer or a regular. But here, it was a breeze. When I called over the phone, the receptionist readily accepted my redemption and scheduled me for an appointment in the not-too-distant future. De Beauté salon is easily one of the largest salons I've visited, taking up an entire multi-story building. Parking is easy with an adjoining lot and the first floor essentially functions as a receiving lobby. Here, receptionists will check you in, tell you which floor you're heading toward, and hand you a slip of paper that details the service you're receiving (to give to your service provider). I was paired with Antoine for the Brazilian blowout, and I wish I'd taken before/after pictures because wow, what a change. I'd arrived with frizzy hair that was approximating a Brillo-pad texture and frizz (thanks to a bleach job I'd recently gotten done), but after a short hour and a half in the chair, my tresses had been tamed to a silky smoothness that I hadn't felt on my head for some time. I've since washed my hair a few times, and I'm happy to report that this keratin treatment has staying power. For those sensitive to strong chemicals, note that the formula they use contains formaldehyde. I appreciated that they set up the chair by two strong fans and an open door, but my eyes still watered a bit here and there.
