I visited Sephora in the Crocker Park mall (Westlake) in March 2023 with a friend but I have come a few times before and after that date. I love Sephora because all the products are laid out very neatly and appeasing to the eye. It's always a fun experience for someone as myself who is starting to get into wearing makeup. Depending on what brand you buy and how many items you purchase plus your budget, you may end up spending alot of money. Prices are definitely not cheap but it is also reasonable, for example, if you just purchase one quality lipstick, you shouldn't spend more than $20. I purchased a Sephora brand dark pink liquid lipstick and I received a few samples of products from Sephora too. I've worn this lipstick and love it. I'm always complimented by others on how the colour pops against my skin tone. There are a lot of brands (Fenty Beauty, Bobbi Brown, Rare Beauty, etc) in Sephora so if you feel unsure of where to start, ask a staff member to assist you. The friend who I was with wears makeup akmost daily so she was a helpful guide for me as I navigated the store. All your makeup and skincare needs are here at Sephora including a men's section. Me and my mother spent 400 dollars here and didn't mind at all. Usually I have a great experience here but this last time I went she was extremely disrespectful. I work in customer service and I was astonished the way she was treating me. As I was shopping around, I was in the makeup by Mario aisle, and I didn't see the shade of lip liner that I wanted. So like a curious customer, I look in the drawer, which I noticed a lot of other customers do it so I thought it would just be fine. She stormed over to me and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. That's when I told her I was looking for a certain shade of lip liner, and she brushed through every single one and with an attitude told me that they don't have it. I then asked her if she could look in the back for me to see if they had the shade. She rudely declined my request as well. I shook off that experience, then asked a different sales associate to help me look for the shade. As the different sales associate went to the back to look for the shade, she called her back to the front and screamed at me "WE DONT HAVE THAT IN STOCK!!" I looked at her in shock and found out she was one of the managers there. Her name is Sammy. And no she wasn't having a bad day she was laughing with her coworkers earlier and was so sweet to another customer. I wouldn't come back just cause of her. read more

This place cut me and my daughter while doing our nails. Literally dripping blood. They applied the thickest acrylic on our nails and made the entire nail look like one big clump. They were all distracted and kept getting up during the process of trying to do our nails. Then they would come back and forget what spot they were on. So the entire experience was awful! I had to get our nails redone. The acrylic needed filed down, acrylic was all over our skin and the polish wasn't even applied correctly. Looked like an 8 year old did our nails. I'm not normally compelled to write reviews for chains, but I had a great experience in here yesterday because of one of their employees, Kristen. I came into Sephora looking for a Bare Minerals brush I bought several years ago. Of course, I lost it and remembered almost nothing about it (another cosmetics store had asked me for the product ID number. What? I lost it. Who knows that). No one else in the store greeted me (which is totally fine, I was pressed for time anyways), and Kristen must have noticed I was in a hurry. She was really quick to come help me search and recommend alternative products that might be similar. She was very knowledgable! Literally, everyone else I had encountered that day inside Crocker Park was a total troll. This is another great sephora location! As soon as you walk in the door, you're greeted with a smile & a hello. You can always count on a product consultant to ask you if you need help, sometimes even twice by different people but I appreciate that. If you're having trouble figuring out what foundation, primer, ect (things that are liquids) to try out, you can ask a product consultant if you can get a sample. You can get up to 3 samples per visit! Oh & btw, if you're basically doing your own makeup in the store because you're going on a night out or etc...ask the employees if they can put some of the products on for you. I love Sephora. I am a true believer of you get what you pay for when it comes to cosmetics and beauty supplies and this is why I make Sephora my one-stop-shop for makeup, hair and body products. The employees are very helpful without being overbearing. I am a shop on my own type of girl, but if I do have a question there is always a "beauty expert" within a few feet to help me out. The staff never tries to up sell you with the latest and most expensive products. The listen to your needs and help you find the perfect fit for you. They also have an amazing return policy. Why are they nasty...rude...have this ATTITUDE? How did YOU first come across? Were you friendly? Or were you copping an attitude yourself? Were you angry, condescending, demanding, insulting? Salespeople want to keep their jobs and sell products, so it's very unlikely they'd do or say anything to antagonize a customer. 5. Why are they so sugary-nice? They don't fool me---I know PHONY. I doubt it. You're the very type of person who DOESN'T because you can't be sincere yourself, so you assume that everyone is like you. This may call for a doctor's visit and some helpful meds. 6. What's the point of their giving me their business card? They hardly did ANYTHING for me. Because, if you liked what they DID do for you, have the courtesy/decency to ask for them if you call or revisit. This is especially true in vehicle, TV, furniture, major appliances, computers, handhelds, and real estate. If they're not there, some businesses will have split commissions, or sales credits. That's what thougtful customers with common sense will do. Hint Hint: Chances are, that salesperson will go beyond what's necessary if someone is considerate enough to ask for them. 7. They're too pushy...aggressive...I HATE that ! As well you should. Can't imagine it, but if that happens, I'd ask to see a manager. Of course, wearing that dunce cap, you might be misinterpreting. . The salesperson I spoke of earlier was so sweet. I couldn't help but ask her how customers behaved. She said that most are very nice. What about the others, I asked. She said some can be so demanding and expect answers to every question imaginable. That she goes home and studies magazines, the internet, and other publications just to try to keep on top of everything she possibly can---that it's never-ending. This is all UNPAID on her OWN TIME. As a customer that shops frequently, I am disappointed that no one has any clear cut understanding to which products are animal tested or not. It is something I value as a consumer and feel as though staff should be well versed in this concern. In addition, I was waiting for a make over the other day, and was told by an employee rudely that they may not have the staff to do it, as there were other people getting make overs. I had a good experience there. My friend however, did not. She used her Sephora points to get a sample of an eyeshadow. She didn't look in her bag until we were in the car on our way home. When she looked in the bag she noticed that the eyeshadow was not there. So we went back the next day. We told the sales associate what happened and she gave her a different product: a primer. When she got home, the primer bottle was completely empty. I will still continue to shop at Sephora, but will be extra careful when buying from there. read more

the girls in here are not interested in helping you at all. I've been to many many sephoria stores and by far this store has the least helpful staff I have experienced yet. I always get greeted promptly each time I enter this store. The employees are always around if you have a question, but give just enough space for you to experiment and try on all of the colors. The tester stations are always clean, well stocked, and placed strategically. Received excellent customer service by Ashley when a product I wanted wasn't carried anymore, she allowed me to choose one of my choice in place of it and still honor the deal I had paid for in advance. I did the skin i.q. test, it wasn't 100% accurate but the girl who did my test worked to find my perfect shade of foundation! She then showed me this great high lighter pallette that I loved. I tried to find this pallette later and it was sold out everywhere. The manager went above and beyond. She was able to locate one for me when no other store even offered to look for me. The makeup at the store you can try before you buy, which is a major difference than the drugstore. The store is big with lots of variety to pick from. I went in for assistants on my skin (makeup and skin care). Iman helped me and she was amazing! She walked me through all the steps of applying makeup and was knowledgeable on every product. This store is like a candy store. I want everything. Store has been clean. I agree with other reviews that the employees are not super helpful (I always see a ton of standing around talking). They don't carry Bobbi brown which is upsetting. I usually come in and know what I want so no help is needed but if someone needs assistance not sure how this store is for that. read more
