i had LITERALLY the worst Sephora experience
of my ENTIRE EXISTENCE here. it was egregiously awful & i'm slightly traumatized & might have to return to Mac like i'm in high school. so- i am from San Diego but i was visiting Redding bc i was getting married in Mount Shasta.
i walked into the J.c. penney Sephora. there is one girl working, she's at the counter ringing another customer up. there's also one more customer shopping around. that is all. i walk up to the employee & say "hi, i haven't been to sephora in a long time & im in a rush because i'm getting married soon. is there a sign up sheet to be seen next or do i just chill?" she then assured me that she would help me after the next girl. i said okay apologetically. my friend & i then headed to the middle counter area where the makeup artists apply makeup on customers. we waited there for 20 mins as i watched the employee finish ringing up her customer, then help THREE MORE CUSTOMERS before checking on us- while we just stood in the middle of the store staring at her.
it was honestly so bizarre. finally she came up to me & used the little computer thing they use to match you, as i previously told her i needed foundation, concealer, & lip color matched, at the very least. she then pulled out a few foundation colors, all of which didn't even work. as she walked around slowly & looking aimless & unsure, my friend & i began picking colors & ended
up finding something. i hope it actually matched me, as it's what i wore for my wedding. i also never got concealer matched OR lip color.
i picked all that on my own in a hurry because i had been in Sephora for probably over an hour for LITERALLY NO REASON. it was so awful. especially because i had asked her prior about getting matched, told her it was for my wedding, & told her i was in a hurry. aka... i'm about to spend a bunch of money & i need help?! my friend & i left & talked about how shockingly awful this Sephora experience was all day. i'm STILL talking about it. & i'm pretty sure if my memory serves me
correct, this employees name was Vanessa.
it was Friday 9/27. i'm probably going to call corporate Sephora about
it when i get back from my honeymoon. read more
