The Sephora in Harlem great store everything fantastic. The staff the customer service the selection of products they had everything was fabulous. My only complaint and this is why I'm giving them a four star instead of five is because I had placed a online order for in store pick up and when I went to go pick my order up the next day as you could see I just had a standard brown bag, not the Sephora bag no biggie really you know sometimes I like to collect the bags and pass them off you know for gift bags when I'm handing gifts out or what not but anyways, so that's my only complaint with the Sephora in Harlem otherwise I'll definitely be returning. read more

Store is always stocked well and the employees are very nice, but please stop giving baskets to people without them asking for one. We ALL know that it is your policy to do so when you suspect someone of stealing. Treat all customers the same regardless of what they're wearing, the bag they have, etc. and let your security handle a potential thief. It's just not good form. read more

I'm happy to have a Sephora very close to me. This location is new and hasn't been open long, but I have to say so far so good. I've been able to do a pickup Herr with no problem. They have a security guard at the door, so there's no crazy things happening in the store. It is always busy, and crowded so far, but the staff trys there best to accommodate everyone. I am glad this opened in the neighborhood. The store is pretty clean and stocked well. The testers are overall clean and tidy. They often have just 1 person on register which makes the line go slow. Today, they had one person ringing people up on the mobile kiosk because the registers were not working. The line was building up and had 15 people on it at one point. The 1 person ringing also had to go in the back to check things for customers, or check things for people on the floor. I didn't see any other employees aside from one person who was just standing around talking to the security guards in the front. Other times I've come haven't been as bad, but the service is inconsistent. I wound up leaving the store without purchasing anything and bought what I needed on the Sephora app, as I did not want to wait in line that long. read more

Updating my review as my friend pretty much wanted to go to this Sephora. I went with her and told her about my previous experience . This time around the staff that were there customer service was on point . Shout out to Sean he was very helpful with assisting us to find what we wanted . The lady who was doing someone's make up or facial at 4pm on 12/29/2024 was so rude and spoke to me in a condescending way when I asked if I could wash my hands. Her first excuse was that she didn't have soap at the sink but when I told her I already had soap in my hand from the salt & stone sample she then proceeded to say that I couldn't use it because it's unsanitary. Then she processed to speak about me to her client while I was in the store! I never write reviews on anything, but I had such a frustrating experience at the Sephora in SoHo yesterday that my experience at the Sephora in Harlem truly just made up for it and even made my day. Obviously, every sephora in the city is busy and all the workers are being pulled left and right, so I am very thankful for their time and patience when they can help! I needed to get color matched with a foundation and I had asked three different people in the Sephora in Soho for help, and ended the experience with the last worker saying "I don't know, maybe ask someone on the fucking floor for help." I was really overstimulated and left upset. Today, I had Binsu (I think that's how you spell it) help me color match and she really took her time to help me with two different foundations I was in between. She was super funny and sweet and I'm really thankful she could help me get what I needed! I absolutely hate getting color matched and shopping for foundations and she was so knowledgeable about everything. They are very lucky to have her in the Sephora in Harlem. read more

So on the night of Thursday June 26th, 2025 I arrived at Sephora 125th street at 7:55 pm I was met at the front door very nastily and condescending if I may add , by a person named Isaac who stated he was the manager and a guard telling they are closed and cannot enter I responded to them "no they are not you all close at 8:00pm" , " I have 5 minutes". They literally placed their bodies in front of mine and blocked me from entering. They did this until 8pm and then proceeded to lock the door and mock me. As a Loyal Sephora customer for over a decade I do not expect to be treated like this let alone by someone in leadership. Sephora needs to do better and this treatment only further feeds the stereotypes about business in urban areas ! read more

The store is nice and the employees relatively friendly. HOWEVER, I walked in and spent $278 on a Sauvage Elixir fragrance, the most expensive male fragrance in the store, and asked if I could get some testers. Homie really brought out one tiny itty bitty tester lol; mind you it's a WOMAN'S fragrance at that! What an idiot?! For reference, I brought the parfume version several weeks ago from Bloomingdale's and that was about $100 cheaper. I walked out with like 8 testers some of which were rather large. They must not work on commission and not want to keep customers coming back. Why are we gate keeping testers - especially when customers are coming in and dropping nearly $300 on a single fragrance? Lol I do like to try testers occasionally during my work week and see if people comment on my fragrance, which I then may end up buying in the future. Just a suggestion, maybe give customers buying your priciest fragrance in-store some testers to try out so they potentially keep coming back for more...? I'm gonna stick to Bloomys read more
