I love the Aveda brand to tame my hair. And while it has worked wonders for the last 20+years, at…read moretimes, I need something else in addition to Aveda. And stopping here came in real handy. Feel Beauty Supply- and others like it, are totally non-existent in White Plains. If there's one, chances are, selection is flat out poor. I also rely on my beloved Harmon and m...a...y...b...e Sally's- but these places, just don't carry enough hair products for women with coarse or extra curly hair. But I was in hair heaven when I saw all their brands and found hair creams and lotions to take care of my hair needs. And yeah...... I do have Dominican naps that need to be tamed and edges to take care of. Feel Beauty has everything laid out neatly to a science: small makeup section as soon as you walk in. More makeup on right wall, mainstream products in middle aisles. Following aisle has a good chunk of Dominican Shampoo, Conditioners and Deep Hair Treatments- that are diffucult to find up by me. Left wall has hair accessories and wigs in the back. I could've gone to Washington Heights and get all my Dominican hair essentials- but I was in the area and this was an excellent find! Really liked that these aisles aren't filled with the typical mass market brands that don't work on my hair type at all. Really is a treasure and beats Sally's anytime!

I walked up and down 125th Street looking for 4 lb. tub of Mizani relaxer. I know the trend is…read morenatural, but this is sheer laziness on my part. Yes, laziness. Natural hair takes time and the kind of skill I just don't have, or salon money I don't have either. So Creamy Crack it is. At $27.99 for a tub that will last me until next year, it's the best value around. Those $40 dusty tubs the other stores had... ha! It was the same story with the neutralizing shampoo. $20 to Feel's $16. Get out of here! Sure I'd love someone else to do my hair, but at $60+ before tipping the stylist and the shampooer... nah, I'll just Vaseline my hairline and go to town on myself. By the by, all the Mizani isn't together. It's usually in a section by the cashier because that brand is rife with high shrinkage items. This tub was with the other tubs in the aisle. Just ask the really tall, really friendly guy working the floor.

I spent more than seventy dollars and less than an hr later the store is treating me like a thug. A hardworking customer who always comes in. There are no signs by braiding section. Anytime you use your credit card, they want a picture. I doubt they treat white customers like that. False advertisement. They shouldn't rely on fine print, black and brown staff being rude to customers and dismissive. This is the fourth time I've been in this store and experienced such egregious behavior.

I recently purchased a water hair sprayer from this store for $8.99, and when I got home, I found…read morethat it didn't work. I returned the next day to address the issue, and what should have been a simple exchange turned into an extremely frustrating experience. The cashier was initially polite, and I provided the receipt without any issue. But after waiting for over 15 minutes for assistance, the staff member who finally came out to help me was incredibly rude( I'm assuming she's the manager or owner). Not only did she immediately raise her voice, but she also became hostile, arguing with me instead of trying to resolve the problem. I calmly called her out on her attitude, but instead of backing down, she just continued to escalate the situation, getting louder and more defensive with every response. It was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. After all this, she finally "found" a replacement bottle--but then tried to charge me an extra $3 for it. I couldn't believe it. The audacity of being treated poorly and then being asked to pay more for something that should have been a simple exchange was beyond frustrating. The worst part is that this experience soured my entire view of the store. I was really looking forward to a positive resolution, but instead, I was treated with such disrespect that I'm seriously considering no longer patronizing this business. It's a shame, because I had high hopes for supporting local businesses in the area. But after this, I would advise others to look elsewhere and support other small businesses that actually value their customers. To add some balance, I did have a kinda alright experience with the braiders upstairs (however, the conditions of which they braid is concerning and she couldn't care less how much she burnt me and pulled my hair. It was so painful). However, they were a bit kind, I assume only because they realized I understood French. Not sure if I'll be going back to them and wouldn't necessarily recommend them to anyone in need of hair services. In the end, I'm giving away the sprayer for free because I want nothing to do with it or the negative energy from the interaction. If you're looking for good customer service, I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere. Shame on these people!!!
