The staff didn't acknowledge me the entire time I stood around waiting to pick up an online order. They also cancelled my entire accepted order just for me to order it all again, have it go through and have them cancel an item saying it's not in stock for me to walk directly in the store and find said item. I went shopping yesterday for skin care products and I stumbled across a Tatcha Pop up event in front of the Sephora store. Everything was so cute and I received a free Tatcha cream sample. I also received a gold stem that you can use for a bouquet of flowers. I enjoyed the experience and I went inside to purchase serum. The store has a nice setup and it was very busy inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely visit this store again in the future whenever I'm in the area. read more

I am not happy with this Sephora location every time I go in here the employees are rude.

I had a great experience shopping here today with a friend! We decided to pop in after lunch to window shop and of course ended up buying multiple items. I always find it so hard to resist grabbing some fun makeup products! All the workers here were so helpful and friendly. They really let us look around and were great and helping us find what we were looking for. My only complaint is that the layout of this store is super cramped. It gets crowded, because of its central location and it can be difficult to maneuver around people. I think this is a store that's great on a quieter day, or if you know just what you are looking for. It isn't the best spot to browse. However, they do have a great selection of products! I am super happy with my purchases. read more

I have been goin to this sephora for years when I'm in the area because my dad is senior staff at the Whitney Museum, which is right near there. I Typically have a decent experience in this store, which is why I continue to go here. But today I literally had the worst most dehumanizing experience I've ever had in my life. Today, Tuesday, November 17 around 11 and 12 pm I went into the Sephora to purchase a fragrance with my rouge reward $100 gift card. I went to stand online then another employee who seemed disgustingly rude right off The bat decided that she was going to open up a register and she took me. I informed her that I wanted to use my reward the first thing she said was you don't have one you only have $10 off. I told her that that was not true and I had redeemed my points for a $100 gift card that I would like to use in store , she was extremely rude and said you're gonna have to show me first because she couldn't see it on her end so I said OK no problem as I'm looking for the reward. She's telling me how about you get off-line and look for it so I could take the next customer was that she was so brazenly rude , however she then proceeds to say never mind i'll email you your receipt not have a Nice day or anything remotely polite as if I did something wrong. Clearly she saw that I did have a reward and instead of apologizing she just said I'll email you your receipt. First of all you should ask how a customer wants their receipt. I left the line but I waited to see if my receipt was sent because she seemed so nasty and disrespectful I just wanted to make sure she truly sent my receipt I got back in line and asked her if I could have a paper receipt she said I need to wait for the emailed receipt and that it takes 24 hr. I have never waited 24 hours for a receipt from Sephora so I told her how rude she was being an another employee said she would print it for me so I said thank you to her but the the other worker screamed at her No you are not gona print her a receipt and screamed at her to go to the front, she then proceeded to throw a crumpled receipt at me. I refused it and she said oh here we go. She seemed to be the manager. She had brown skin a low hair cut and it was died blonde. I almost cried from the way she treated me and feel bad for the worker she yelled at who was trying to help me. I simply wanted my receipt and to not deal with her but I have never experienced a manager act so disgusting before. To have my receipt crumpled and tossed at me for simply asking for it is crazy! I will NEVER go into this store again and I will be reporting this store and her to the better business bureau and the city read more

Very nice location. The store is nice and clean and organize. This is honestly the most calmest and quietest Sephora I've been to. The manager was able to assist us as the employees were all with customers. I would definitely come back I felt like everyone answer my questions and worked very quickly. Also the testers here are not all worn out they have a great selection of there product lines. They also had some new collections from Caudalie which I was happy to see. read more

So happy I have this Sephora in the neighborhood! I had such a pleasant experience. They were busy but all very helpful. I had one gal help me find the correct shade of an IT Cosmetics illuminating CC cream that I've been wanting to try (which by the way came with a gift with purchase including three minis of IT Cosmetics face wash, moisturizer, and eye cream) and then had another gal help me find the right shade in the new Too Faced 'Born This Way' sculpting concealer. I have some bruising on my face right now so she made me a sample of a darker shade to cover that in the meantime and then I can use the brighter one along with it. I'm a sucker for the aisle of travel sized goodies so I picked up some Laura Mercier setting powder, a beauty blender, and some lip gloss. Now here's where it really gets good - when I was checking out, I was told that since I spent over $75 I was eligible for a complimentary 'perk' facial, which I hadn't heard of until today surprisingly... since I wasn't in a rush for once and was actually in a dire need of a facial, I decided to go for it! They remove your makeup, cleanse your face, discuss your skin and then use this vacuum-like machine to literally suck the gunk out of your pores. The first do an exfoliating solution and then a hydrating solution to seal the serum into your skin. It doesn't hurt a bit and they do a full skin care routine of your choice after (I chose Sunday Riley). Best part - they SHOW YOU your personal 'skin cocktail' with everything the machine removed in the session. After I was all done she misted me with some SPF and brought over all the products I wanted to try out in regards to putting my makeup back on. (I would've loved if they could've just done my makeup for me but they were busy so I understand). I will say I wish this Sephora had an Anastasia brow bar in it so fingers crossed that will come soon :) read more

Had a terrible experience at this location with sales associate Natalie - after I had to wait 20 min for someone to help me, she was helping color match me for a product and then got distracted with another customer halfway through the process. When I asked her what the correct color was, she distractedly had someone she was training hand me a product which turned out to be the wrong one. I didn't know the difference between the products and left the store unknowingly until I googled the difference between the two when I got back home. Upon realizing this, I spoke to a manager Tanisha on the phone who was very curt and wasn't able to offer me anything beyond an in-store exchange, super inconvenient for me, and a small promo. I definitely will never be visiting this location again and likely will hesitate buying products from Sephora going forward. Super upset about this experience read more

He helped me explore other products from the brand, providing really helpful info including the ingredients!! i left extremely satisfied and made my purchase with an additional product upon his recommendation. All the workers need to be trained again. when I was looking at the product, one of the girl came to talk to me, "you cannot take a photo! Do you understand?" She came back again and said "You understand what I said huh?" I didn't take a photo when she came back and I didn't answer. when I asked about the product to another person(man) after he finished the conversation with me he went back to talk to other workers. He talked about me. i heard this. is he ok? while I was shopping, one girl stair looking at me/followed me. it's been so irritated. after I came out from the store, 1 customer behind me by the exist, he felt the same thing. I came on a Monday at 11am to pick up my birthday gift. The sales associates were nice and recommended their favorite birthday gift. I chose based on their recommendation, and the direction I was already leaning. There was a Bite Beauty kit with lipstick, pencil, and agave lip balm. Or Glam Glow moisturizer and mask. I went with the Glam Glow, as I'm not a big lip person. This location never seems to be crowded, which is nice. It's clean, and gets a ton of awesome natural daylight because of the big windows. They stock very typical Sephora stuff, but because it tends to have less traffic, the samples are cleaner, and less used up. The layout doesn't flow well for me, as there are little room sections of products. Like a series of separated rooms, instead of open concept. But a great, calmer shopping experience because of the low traffic. read more

This review goes to Varey the Assistant Manager of the store. I came in yesterday to pick up some skin care products I had run out. I come here every 2months to restock and when I do I get the complimentary hydra facial at the beauty bar (if you spend $75 - super easy) Varey didn't push any product on me but guided me on the products that would work for me if I wanted them in the future. She took her time to disinfect the bottles and top layers of each product and the beauty bar before working. I was so impressed with her knowledge for skin care, let alone how to apply and do the hydra facial for optimal results. Keep in mind, I've been getting these facials here for over a year now. When I woke up this morning my face looked like a new born baby. I was so happy. Thank you so much! read more

Great looking Sephora in a great area with great customer service. But it's kind of on the smaller end so they don't carry a lot of brands that the bigger ones, such as Union Square or Times Square, carry. Whenever I'm shopping or window shopping in meatpacking, I go out of my way to stop in. I'm also mildly Sephora obsessed. As with all Sephoras, a $50 minimum purchase gets you a personalized, customized make up application. Which is a complete joke; you're not walking in there without spending $50 on like a sole lip pencil. So if you're going out, you can get your make up done there. read more

I've had the best experience in this store. A lot of places don't do their job right, they think because of Covid no one's gonna do anything but the treatment in this store was excellent from the entrance to the exit. I was greeted when I entered and the lady took me exactly to the product I was looking for. Later on while walking around I had questions about a hair product which another lady tried to help me with. She asked the first one for advice and I was impressed by the entrance lady's knowledge. The second lady didn't stop and that but asked her to explain her recommendation because she was curious and wanted to learn it. Love that!! For identification purposes, the entrance lady was tall, wearing black, hair was tied and sort of blue or green. The second lady had short blond hair and glasses, both very helpful. I was not bothered at any moment, like in some other stores, but simply assisted. When I went to check out another lady helped me, she had blue and black hair I believe. She made every effort to find my membership and helped me add my phone number to it. She showed me all the gift options I could get with my points, even some new ones that I had no idea I could get and I got the best gift. Very happy with the check out too!!! As I was leaving the store a gentleman greeted me and even complemented my bag. I've had all types of experiences during the pandemic but this store made glad I had some human interaction. Thank you! Today I visited Sephora with a friend and we were not greeted, we walked around the store for 15 mins and no one had asked us for help. Meanwhile there were 2 employees standing and talking amongst themselves. I then asked a lady with short hair who was very helpful. While checking out the cashier was unprofessional and had a very nasty tone when checking us out. She was unwell. I believe the staff members who were working on May 23rd at 6 PM need some retraining on how to deliver great customer experience. read more

Popped in on the way to a dinner and was able to get my complimentary birthday gift as a VIB. The associates were really nice and though the store seemed small, it had a cool layout and seemed to have tons of variety. They also have those style bars to get dolled up and the ladies were very nice and helpful to the patrons I saw. My transaction was super quick and the checkout counter was almost unnecessary (and hard to find) because they have those quick check out things where they can ring you up and check you out on the spot :) Would come back to check it out when I'm in the neighborhood and have some more time :) read more

I was kind of having a bad night and dropped by to pick up some things here. The lady I asked before him was kind of giving me attitude (hence one star docked) when I was asking her for toner recommendations she was like, "All the brands have toner" then walked away. But Reinaldo on the other hand saw I was looking around confused and helped me find exactly what I needed. So when my MUA wasn't available last minute for a headshot photoshoot, it was suggested to me to go to Sephora Meatpacking because this location was supposed to be quieter, more sophisticated, and boasting more skilled artists. I was a nervous, stressed out wreck. Well. WELLLLLLL. GIRL. Let me tell youuuuuuu. Olivia, the Senior Artist DID NOT DISAPPOINT, HONEY! She hooked my make up. I entered in, skeptically, and not even that nice....and Olivia never broke a sweat. She was consistently friendly, patient, explained every single thing, used an amazing array of products, showed me comparable products to help me save money (which didn't even happen bc everything was soooooo good). I love this Sephora location because it's not as busy as the ones I usually frequent in Union Square and 34th Street (obviously). It's a bit smaller, but they have everything I've ever dreamed and hoped for. All of the employees are very friendly and are willing to help you try on a product. I stopped by this location yesterday to kill some time and to check out some lipsticks. I had a bada$$ blister on one of my heels and asked if they could spare me a bandaid and they were so kind and gave me a few! The neighborhood is also lovely and a lot more shops opened up nearby. I used to like going to sephora, but no matter which location I go to, they(sales people, store managers) push Drunk Elephant products on me. I tried some of them and didn't think they did crap, and believe me, I spend a lot on skincare. I don't know if Drunk Elephant pays Sephora or what, but try going into most locations and you'll see they push this over-priced junk on you before anything else. I was just in this Sephora and honestly have had THE WORST EXPERIENCE ever. I am 17, and so is my best friend - who is with me. We both were browsing the store with some products in our hands. We ultimately decide to put them back and come back another time to get them. We go to school up the block and we could always come back. In the middle of putting back our items, we were testing out some other products we liked and just chatting. I am testing the new Haus Labs lipgloss on my hand and about to test it on my friends. She is holding another lip gloss (that she intended to put back because she decided she didn't like the color). An employee comes over and demands that we put everything in our hands into a basket. I have a tester product in my hand (not even a packaged one worth stealing), and my friend is still holding onto her lipgloss about to put it back. I am confused, thinking that I am being yelled at for using a product, she however is trying to calmly explain to the worker that she wasn't trying to steal and the product was just in her hand. Mind you, we are no where near the exits and look like customers browsing the store. Regardless, the employee begins to raise his voice and tell us to put the other item we "had" in the basket. Once again we explain we have nothing else, and just put back the products. He keeps on, and we go as far to open our bags. He keeps saying "leave" and "have a nice day" with intense attitude to push his point. We weren't allowed to explain ourselves, nor given the opportunity to further browse. So just be careful going into this store because if you are browsing too long and too hard the employees will apparently go nuts. If you work there and are reading this please know it was never that serious, and we just wanted to get makeup and test stuff for our prom in a month. I frequently go to this location and usually I'm never approached or even greeted by anyone but the security by the doors. I went in this afternoon and was helped by a female with green hair by the name of Erica. She was super sweet and helped match me with the correct shade of over achiever concealer. She seemed to be super busy but kept checking up and reminding me that she would be right with me. I ended up getting the concealer she recommended , a body lava by Fenty and a beauty blender cleanser. I checked out with someone else as the woman who helped me was busy helping someone. The girl I checked out with wasn't very pleasant. She dropped her pen and I picked it up for her, she didn't say thank you or anything. She didn't ask if I needed anything else , ask if I wanted to use my beauty insider points, wish me a good day or anything. My sister and I stop by for a makeover but unfortunately, you have to make an appointment. No walk ins if they are already booked. Luckily, they had some time to do an eye glam only and made my sis look fabulous! Customer service was great! As I browsed the makeup while I was waiting for my sis, I was greeted by one the staff who asked if I needed help. I wish I remember her name (beautiful, tall, African-American lady with short stylish hair, red lip stick ). She helped me find the lipstick I was looking for and helped me pick out blush. I love their new mobile check out service. It's fast, efficient and my receipt was sent via email. I was even reminded of the points I had on my Sephora card to receive some cute goodies .
