I couldn't make the code scan on my receipt work so here is my review. I had to buy new foundation yesterday and my trip to Sephora in the Marina Del Rey shopping mall could not have been more pleasant. I had no trouble parking even in the shade on a Sunday. I was quickly brought to Jessica who is a foundation expert par excellence. She asked many questions about my preferences but it was in terms of color matching that she really showed her skill. It included going to the front of the store to check in natural light. A day later I am still very pleased. Ask for Jessica. Also check out was a breeze. read more

March 11, 2026 | Marina del Rey | I love this Sephora location! I've been shopping here for years! There's plenty of parking, shared with other nearby shops and restaurants, it's always neat and tidy inside, and customer service is incredibly friendly from the moment you step in, throughout & as you're leaving! Even better, it's near my favorite Ralph's that I like to shop at for groceries! The area is a one stop shop! read more

Great Sephora location!! Parking is free and usually available, but the Waterside MDR can get pretty full during peak hours and in those cases parking can be rough. When no parking in lot, makes it really tough since no close street parking nor other lots. Always greeted warmly by front entrance greeter and asked if we need a basket. Overall staff are usually friendly and very helpful. Mostly good selection and stock is kept up pretty well. read more

This isn't my usual Sephora but I'm so glad I stopped by randomly the other day because the sales associate was so kind and helpful! I was looking for a lightweight foundation and all of the brands I was looking for were not it. The sales associate looked at my skin and gave me two recommendations that I didn't even consider and they both turned out looking great on me. So helpful. read more

When it comes to the Marina del Rey Sephora. I think this location is by far the best I've been to, and I've been to a fair share over the holiday shopping season. There was plenty of staff, and a really good selection, I didn't have to fight my way through the isles. and everyone was knowledgeable and more helpful than any other that I've been in. One thing I struggled with is the fact that there's so many businesses, and not a lot of parking, it can be quite cumbersome, trying to find a spot. But when it comes to the great friendly service, and the helpful staff, it's worth waiting for a parking spot. read more

Apparently they can randomly choose to be closed whenever they choose even during supposed working hours, 2pm on a Monday. I approached the door and attempted to open it but it was locked only to have a hot mess looking of an employee scream "we're closed". Maybe put a sign on the door saying and explaining why you are closed so I'm not made to feel like I wandered into some random trailer park in Marina Del Rey. read more

A nice selection of clean beauty products and smiling helpers. The vibe here is generally too chaotic for me, so I am selective about when I come in. read more

Did a session with Rukayah and really enjoyed it :) She was very kind and skilled, and made me feel much more comfortable with doing my makeup and trying new styles! read more

This store is notorious for employees running around on headsets, but why do you need a headset if it's not to offer better service? Every time I come here there's a long line most of the time there's one cashier which is ridiculous and employees will stand around an empty register talking and clocking in and out for lunch and not even look up at customers or bother to open a register. Getting help here is nearly impossible... read more

Love you guys! Lauren in customer service is the epitome of customer service... Her friendliness and helpfulness and true care really shines through! The Makeup artist artists are all awesome and the store is fantastic thank you guys. Really appreciate you. read more

Stopped into this location because I need makeup setting spray. The employees at this location are really friendly. As usual I ended up getting more than I planned. If you are not signed up for their rewards program you should. You will get a birthday gift ( you can choose from makeup, hair or skin kits). My birthday was a couple months ago and I was still able to claim my gift. On my way out I was pleased to see the Bridgerton make up collection. One of many reasons to visit this location again. read more

I wanted to make a return and it was three days late as I expressed that the product did not fit well with me, and although they could have honored it. the manager or lead did not honor or made an exception. The product was less than $15. read more

I'm a fairly regular customer of this location. I was here recently while waiting to.meet a friend for lunch. I like walking around & checking out the various items. I was able to get several perfume samples.. It's always a great experience shopping at this store, as the staff are super pleasant, professional, & responsive. I'm already looking forward to going back again very soon!!! :) :) read more

Ely and the team at Sephora Marina del Rey are top tier and extremely hospitable. So grateful to have this much needed staple in this amazing neighborhood. Endless stars and Ely is to be commended for going above and beyond. She's a true rockstar with a bright future making Sephora her prospective career that I told her I see so vividly. read more

Been here many times and they are always good. Today Karla helped me and really helped me find a great new match w my foundation and powder. Thankful! Appreciate the wonderful help. read more

I enjoyed shopping at this Sephora location. The store is big, location is great, and good parking as well. Shelves needed to be restocked and a little out of order, but I was able to find what I needed. 5 star review mainly because of customer service. I was greeted and helped in the perfume department by Jessica. Who went above and beyond for me to get the fragrance I so desired. A big thank you to her and all the friendly and helpful ladies working the evening of Saturday June 28th. read more

Stopped in today while I was waiting for my lunch order in the shopping center here ... i love this Sephora the employees are very friendly and extremely helpful. Figured I would get color matched for concealer ( this is always a task as my skin is neutral but I always get recommended yellowish undertones) Danni helped me today and Oooommggg she is wonderful!!! So very helpful I can not say enough, not only did she search my Gucci concealer ( that I love) to find a good color match she also tried multiple colors and brands and lighting ( inside/ outside) she was honest didn't try to sell me on anything!!! She was so patient and so kind. I can't say enough so wanted to give Danni and shout out!! Thank you girly!!! I appreciate you!!!! read more

After a hellish week at work, I decided to spend part of my mental health day doing some retail therapy at Sephora. And it really was the light at the end of the tunnel. Rukayah and Stephanie were so great helping me pick out new shades from some new make up lines I wanted to try out. They were both so informative and patient. And Stephanie was so very thoughtful, thank you! read more

NOT the way I want to start my new year, but I HAVE to post this because I'm so angry. I got this perfume sampler for Xmas which I'm now dumping into the trash because Sephora would NOT let me return the travel size one I got mistakenly-- despite getting it 1 minute before! Total waste of my time and the gift is being DUMPED! The ENTIRE experience was so poorly handled I don't know where to begin. And YES, I wrote to corporate-- but they sent a refusal by email which was A COMPLETE waste of my time. I'm not interested in buying ANYTHING from this horrible company anymore. Happy New Year to all the OTHER companies out there that WANT my business! #sephorasucks #wasteoftime #horribleeexperience Sephora read more

SEPHORA - WASTE of time and money - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Marina Del Rey, California

Loved this experience! Jessica helped me find the perfect scent because she's very knowledgeable! Thanks

I WILL NEVER SHOP AGAIN AT ANY SEPHORA EVER. Why? Because of POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I used to shop here a lot and then also returned a lot and now I see why I haven't come back here in a long time. I came by to get my eyebrows waxed and lip too and bought a few items that I impulsively bought and just never planned to use. I came back the next day to return and they apparently denied my request and informed me that I can't return for awhile and for NO reason for a year. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AT SEPHORA OR ANY SEPHORA EVER AGAIN. I'll pay their credit card and NEVER SUPPORT THEIR BUSINESS AGAIN. read more

Well-stocked Sephora store with helpful, knowledgable employees. I came in for a new foundation and powder, but left with so much more! Good for my look, bad for my wallet. In looking for a new foundation, I did the usual pump and blend on my arm. Soon, an employee came up and asked if I wanted to be color matched. I agreed. The color expert who helped me was fantastic. She took her time identifying a shade that blended undetectably with my own skin tone: applying with/without primer, taking me out into natural light to confirm a match, demonstrating how to use concealer (which I've never tried in all my years). Yes, a sales person, but one with depth of training and understanding that helps the buyer make an informed purchase. Another perk happened during checkout. I mentioned I missed my birthday gift last month, and she allowed me to receive my birthday bonus set! Really kind. Parking lot is a bit hectic but we found a spot quickly. Nice to have a Sephora option not in a mall. read more

I can get most of my personal stuff there. The have people to assist me with any item I'm interested in and recommendations other options

After stopping by a few days ago, I wanted to make sure I gave a rave review for this location. I went in and the customer service was impeccable! I felt welcomed and many employees were helpful and greeted me. One employee, her name is V, was super helpful and incredibly kind. I didn't have a lot of knowledge on products and she was patient with my questions, and gave honest opinions. Also I appreciated that she didn't hover around me (sometimes my introvert self can't take a lot of interaction with a new person right off the bat.) After our first encounter she told me her name which made it a lot easier to approach her for more questions. She helped color match me and made me feel comfortable about not removing my face mask to color match. I'm pretty sure all employees were wearing a face mask. I bought over $200 purely because customer service was so good, honestly. I was just gonna buy a foundation, (and honestly maybe just go home and buy it online). I'll definitely be back to this location, I went to a different Sephora location years ago that unfortunately gave very bad customer service and never went back lol. Ps. Also so happy to see the beauty industry leaning into clean and vegan products. I had to look up if some of the products I was buying was vegan, but I bought the majority from merit which was labeled in store as all vegan. So exciting! *edited to add* just went back to grab my birthday gift! (Forgot about those) and also my points gift! they were accommodating even when my birthday had passed, and the person ringing me up was knowledgeable of which items were vegan. read more

The manager here is a literal asshole. I had a bought a product from this store three days ago only to have it explode all over my bag. Given that it had exploded and it was in no condition for me to bring it back, I provided pictures. I asked if there was anything she could do and she didnt even try to look like she cared. She just said no and kept walking away before the conversation was done. read more

I'm thinkin' about ..... Makeup, makeup and makeup! AII Makeup! Where's the makeup? Oh! Here it is! Sephora is like the Disneyland for makeup fanatics. Even if you're a makeup novice, the Sephora employees will walk you through every little step to make sure you look flawless. The employees at the Sephora in the Marina Del Rey do a kick ass job at getting me what I need. I originally wanted a lightening cream for my sunspots but the employee recommended some makeup with vitamin C in it that would do the trick. The ladies here are always pleasant and wear makeup that's always on point. Their knowledge about the products is impressive. I'll definitely be back for more products. Oh, yeah! They also give you their honest opinion about certain makeup brands that aren't up to snuff like the new Rihanna line. You also gotta sign up for the Sephora Club for free birthday giveaways. I'm stopping by today to pick up my free bday gift, an eye primer and a Huda eyeshadow palette because who can't live without Huda? That would be me! Tip for the day: if you spend more than $50, then you get a free makeover. Oh, and don't forget the color matching. First, I thought it was a waste but it really does match your skin tone spot on. The only negatives about this place are the male managers. The dude on the floor is a super douche!!! He has no customer service skills whatsoever! In fact, none of the managers here return your telephone calls. Also, during my full face makeover, i was advised that I would be sent an email with all the names of the product s used on my face. Well, i received the email, however, if failed to include all my lip products. Those are the ones that I wanted to purchase!!!! read more

This is hands down one of the worst Sephoras I've been to. There are so many assistants working there, yet none of them are particularly helpful. If you're out of stock for an item, order it in! Don't let the shelves be bare and customers come in to the store not being able to purchase things. Do yourself a favor and drive to the Manhattan Beach store - it's infinitely better. read more

When it comes to my skincare, I have a routine worthy of a marathon. I love Sephora because it's my one-stop-shop for everything beauty related. Just came to this brand new Sephora location in the same plaza as Sugarfish, Mendocino Farms, Paper Source. They just opened yesterday! The space was clean and products were organized well and had a good flow. The consultants were knowledgeable in recommending me serums and moisturizers that suited my skincare needs. The rep even took into account my age and didn't try to sell me on the most expensive products. Skincare and makeup is an investment so it's hard for me to shell out a lot of money. What I love about Sephora is that they offer generous samples to try before making a commitment. Look forward to coming back! Parking is a free, open lot. read more

Fav in the area (Westfield Mall a lil busy and unorg sometimes) MDR Shoppe has cool people with great attitudes... and they seem to like Beauty! So that's a plus! It's also roomy, you don't feel crowded... If you want a customized shopping visit, look for Heather! We went through matches for concealer and foundation through the Beauty Pad! Made it so much easier to pick new things! Stock is iffy, but that's corporate not their fault lol. Since COVID, they readily have cleansed baskets yay and sanitizer avail. read more

Most of the time, the ladies aren't that busy so i have all their attention when i need assistance. I don't wear make up but they all look great with their face artwork. (Not really sure if it's ok to call it as such.) But it is a talent. I checked in here numerous times because this is the only place where i could get moisturizers and the same time, samples because i am a moisturizer addict. The ladies are helpful and knowledgeable plus they take their time. I have purchased all sorts of fragrance gifts too and i didn't encounter any problem. Parking can be tough but no long wait. People park for a short and quick purpose only. Its location is perfect because it's in a huge plaza for one stop shop and dining! read more

Love this Sephora. People are so friendly and helpful. Robert is the BEST!! Went above and beyond to help me find my best color match!

Just updating to add this is one of the worst Sephoras in terms of purchasing. They have almost everyone on the floor and one person behind the cash register. For this reason I usually go here to test out products to ensure they'll work and then purchase direct from the brand or at another Sephora location. read more

Horrible. I went to return an online order that I received two days ago and Odonise who claimed to be the manage was rude, abrasive and loud which made my experience in the store a nightmare. You would think Sephora would hire individuals with excellent customer service skills not an individual who looked unprofessional and had a demeanor of a elementary school student. I will never return to this location and all staff at this location needs some serious customer service training. Moving forward I'll shop at Nordstrom or Neiman's for my beauty needs! Sephora thanks to Odonise you've just lost a loyal customer. It's unfortunate how one individual can change your preservative of a company in a matter of minutes!!! read more

I've shopped in the store many times before but never felt compelled to leave a review. Last night I was looking for some Fresh body lotion and could not find it anywhere in the store. The sales staff was scarce and I had to flag someone down after looking for 10 minutes to get help. The shelves were sparsely stocked and they were out of the product that I wanted. I feel like the lack of help in the store is not good for business. It would be beneficial for staff to approach customers as they walk in the door and ask if they need help. Hopefully the customer service will be better on my next visit. read more
