I was shocked by the rude customer service received from Jacqueline. When I entered the store she glared at me as if I was a bad smell. She appeared unhappy to be there. After ringing me up, I had to ask her to enter my information for points. She then had to cancel the transaction and ring me up again. She asked me if I wanted to donate to the Trevor foundation. I said no. She then walked away to help another customer while I completed the transaction on my own. She then came back after I was done to give me my makeup. I then asked what the charity was about and expressed my regret in not donating. Instead of offering me other ways to make a donation, she berated me by saying "YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED BEFORE COMPLETING THE TRANSACTION"! read more

Worst customer service ever at both of the MAC stores at the Fox hills mall. I should've stuck to the one in the Manhattan Village where they actually do an Amazing Job and are willing to help others. Now back to the Fox hills Mall. These women should really take note of their lack of empathy and take a look in the mirror to realize they are not above anyone. Karen E( name fits), decided to be lazy and not assist me, when all I asked her to help me with was my eyebrow because that has always been my weak spot. I sat in the store doing my own eyes because she didn't want to be of any assistance. I asked her for the items so that I could do my own makeup and she huffed and puffed the whole time. Wow! She complained that she couldn't help because she was busy and had an appointment coming in at 12, when at the time it was only 11:32. I asked if she could just help with my eyebrows only and it was a hard no. Not one single person walked in for 30 mins when I was there. MAC you can run your cameras back for accuracy. I purchased a lip gloss initially and then ended up getting a refund because why would I want to support an establishment like this. It's not a race thing, it's an lack of education, logic, knowledge and peer interactions. These women come to work for a check and that's it. Karen also forced another girl that was behind the counter to go on break so she couldn't assist me. The other representative left because she was told to, and returned with Starbucks, the top unhealthiest drink in the world. I didn't have to make an appointment to get my makeup done on time. My make artist was Ro. I had to get my makeup done to go to my company's holiday party. I had lashes done as well as makeup. I tried lipsticks (several many) yesterday afternoon (8/1/17). I was looking for a berry-ish color. I ended up getting the one in the first photo (I think!) called Hang Up. The folks working the new MAC at Westfield were very friendly and had great suggestions (Thanks especially to Kristina!). They were super accommodating and encouraging of me trying on a whole bunch of lipsticks. I'll definitely visit again if I'm in the area. It looked like a nice big space and I would love to explore other items next time I'm there. I just happened to be on a bit of a lipstick mission. One downside I would say is that with the lights and everything (and a hot, muggy, summer day) it was very warm in the shop, borderline uncomfortable. read more

1/14/21 I returned 2 unopened items that I purchased on 1/10/21 at a different location because I wanted to take advantage of the $30 off $100. I ordered online also because of the free gift. If I had known I would be treated with such disrespect I would have never gone to this location. I wish I knew his name but he was so rude. 1. He said he normally does not accept returns over $30. I don't know if this is a fact or not. I was able to return these items but was given such an attitude the entire time. Such bad behavior and the level of disappointment in a human being. 2. He said even though these were probably never opened he proceeded to toss them in the trash in front of me as if I was supposed to feel bad for returning something. I understand it's covid but I'm not satisfied with my purchase. 3. He told me I should've gone back to the location to return my items. I don't know if anyone else had problems with returns at different locations or if it's policy. I'm completely shocked and he makes me not want to go to in any MAC store ever again and now I'll be ordering online If he's the manager of this location he needs to be retrained on customer service and their policy. He is unprofessional and I would be ashamed to have someone like him representing Mac cosmetics. Lastly I had my scrubs on and he made a joke that I didn't find funny at all. I love this Mac store!! I walked in wanting some advice on what to use on my brows to achieve the look I wanted. Erika was so nice! She helped me and then some! I literally made a yelp account so that I could give "V" her well-deserved 5-star review. Back in college, I also worked in cosmetics but whenever I would go to any MAC Counter, it felt like I was scanned from head to toe and not worthy of being there. Sometimes a girl just wants to have a day off and not wear any make up! V was the exact opposite of this experience. She turned around every negative experience I ever had with MAC and I swear, she always remembers me whenever I go into the store. She even remembers me when I've changed my hair! Her customer service is out of this world and I love how warm and welcoming she is to everyone who walks in. Cosmetics can be really intimidating for people, so I think it's great that MAC Culver City has someone who makes you feel ok not knowing everything and is willing to teach. I love this MAC store, more than anything cuz the employees are awesome! They make you feel awesome and are super helpful. I went in needing a new foundation cuz my skin has been feeling dryer lately (when usually I'm super oily). I was helped right away and kris was phenomenal. He helped me pinpoint exactly what my skin needed and ended up helping me find an answer to my problem: new primer and water weight foundation with a finishing powder. Where do I begin...came in here to get my makeup done as close to a gypsy look as possible for my Halloween costume. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Erika. She was actually the one that ended up doing my makeup and hands down I am soooo glad she was my makeup artist. She was super friendly and down to earth. I right away felt welcomed by her and comfortable. I felt like I was getting my make up done by my friend. I went to the El Segundo plaza location and was basically turned away because it was a Saturday night and they were all booked. I decided to give it one last try and headed towards the MAC store in the Westfield Culver City Mall and to my surprise, I was greeted as soon as I walked in by Kristina. I inquired about getting my makeup done and she sat me down to find out a few details on my plans and what type of look I was going for. She was extremely pleasant and relatable and I loved our conversation. She stopped a few times to help other guests but always returned in a timely manner and apologized for having to step away. After running around the mall like crazy to find a outfit for my birthday. I decided to check a few make up counters to see if I can get my make up done last minute. I walked in the MAC store and was greeted by Kristina she was so sweet. I told her I needed my face done for my birthday dinner, and she was able to help me right away. We went over my skin type and the type of look I was going for and after that she worked her magic. I absolutely loved the way my eyes looked.
