I saw Laurie for the first time back in February... she was great!!! I have some adult acne and…read moreshe recommended products to use and my skin has looked so much better since! She was also very educational with the questions I asked and offered other recommendations to help with my skin. My skin can be sensitive at times so I was worried about trying new products. Per Laurie's recommendation I bought a toner, vitamin c & e, a pore & wrinkle serum, & a moisturizer. I love them all and most importantly, my skin does too! I would also like to note that she was not in any way pushy about buying the products. She suggested the ones to get first if I was looking to budget. I ended up buying them all and found the pricing very reasonable. I just rebooked and can't wait to see Laurie again.

I was a loyal client going for monthly appointments for 6 years until I got breast cancer and had…read moreto cancel a couple of appointments last minute (chemo symptoms come on fast and hard!) Instead of calling me and asking if I was OK, as any caring business owner would, I was blacklisted from booking appointments online. Marisa only cares about your wallet and it's evident in the fact that in the 6 years I was a client, she went through 3 different product lines in the guise of "providing the best for her clients" i.e., what will make her the most profit. She forces product sales and tells her estheticians to do the same. If you're not her daughter or a family friend, you won't last there as an employee. Her prices are on par with high end Boston spas, but in North Attleboro. I presume she has to pay the mortgage on her extravagant new location somehow. I regret having spent thousands there over the years. EDIT 1/2/2025 in response to business owner comment -- I understand the need for strict no-show and last-minute cancellations, which of course are intended to recoup loses from UNRELIABLE clients. Not from clients diagnosed with cancer who are trying their best to maintain some sense of normalcy in life who have a long history of maintaining a proper client-business relationship. My treatment based on extenuating circumstances cannot reasonably be considered "understanding and flexible". It is important to current and future clients that they consider how quickly a business devalues a client, so they can make the most informed decision on where to receive these types of services. The best way to address my concerns would be to treat clients better than I've been treated. I in no way mean to harm your business. Everyone can read all reviews here and on other websites and decide for themselves if they wish for their hard-earned dollars to support your business.

The best nails I've ever had…read more.. I just moved to Foxborough and of course needed a new nail salon! I took a look at this salon on yelp and other sites and had good work from what I saw. When I tell you...I've never had better nails then this. Danny specifically was my master artist, and he was detail to detail, meticulous with his work, and very gentle. This man knew everything that he was doing, and spent so much detail on my nails. I will never go to anybody different. I am so happy that I found this place, if I can give it more than five sorry I would. Overall, the salon is absolutely beautiful, very nice inside and clean. Everyone is super friendly, and there to help you look your best. The salon is amazing, and so thankful that I found them .

My cuticle was a mess when I walked in so I asked for a manicure with my full set, well he didn't cut my cuticles until after he polished my nails so I left looking like I needed a refill, made no sense to me. On my second visit I had a nail tech that barely looked up at me never mind interacted with me, my nails have been popping off everyday since I'm confused to why I paid 70 bucks for a refill. The work was rushed and sloppy, I will be reaching out to complain, let's see what the response will be, if they'll stand by their work or if they'll give two shits

First of all, Brittney was so responsive and flexible about scheduling, helping me schedule my trials and being so unbelievably understanding as the number of appointments grew and shrank leading up to the wedding. We had our appointments inside the salon because we had a relatively small group and didn't want to deal with finding an appropriate space in one of the hotels. We are so glad we did--- It feels so warm and welcoming inside the salon, and we even were able to put out a breakfast food spread during the appointments! Brittney did our hair for the wedding day (we also got great blowouts/curls from Marisa and Michaela the day before!) and she is amazing---she is so so talented, and our hair stayed completely perfect for our entire 14+ hour event. Everyone had such different hair types and styles and everyone told me they got exactly what they were hoping for, if not far better! Nicole did our makeup and we similarly could not be more impressed! She knew exactly how to handle all of our concerns and made sure that everyone loved their look. We all just couldn't stop looking in the mirror! Just like our hair, the makeup did not budge throughout the day, even though we were in a hot and humid environment! Not only are all of the folks at Strand wonderfully talented, they are also just so nice!! It's very reasonably priced to boot---it felt like an absolute steal given the skill and attentiveness of everyone there. I can't imagine a better place to kick off a wedding!

First let me say, my hair stylist, Holly, gets a 5 star review. My recent experience talking to the…read morewoman answering the phones not so much.... as I explain below: I really enjoyed coming to this salon and having Holly cut and style my hair in the past: Holly goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and I trust her with my hair. She does a perfect job with my cut and style. I always receive multiple compliments afterwards. I should mention I drive about 50 minutes from my home just to have her work with me. My complaint is last time I called to schedule an appointment with Holly the woman who answered the phone bad-mouthed Holly to me and tried to get me to schedule with someone else who had "more availability and more experience." I explained I only come to this particular salon to see Holly and I'd prefer to wait for her. She continued to complain about how Holly cut her hours back by 10 a week and seemed to stale when trying to find an opening for me with Holly... The woman whined "we have a stylist on hand everyday that has ten years plus experience I could easily book you with instead," which I refused again. Finally she 'found' some time for a cut with Holly but couldn't seem to find my name in the computer. She was obviously irritated with the entire situation which just made me feel totally uncomfortable with my interaction with her. I further explained I have been there multiple times and I wasn't sure why she couldn't find me in the system. After she finally found my name she said she couldn't find my name in the computer because it was misspelled and that "Holly always makes mistakes like this." She also felt the need to correct my multiple times visiting to "only twice," which Is multiple (in my own opinion). This woman answering the phones might want to reconsider airing out her dirty laundry to clients she doesn't know in hopes of not offending or scaring them off in the future. The woman on the phone was rude, belittling in her demeanor to myself and her staff and blatantly inappropriate. More professionalism should be incorporated when addressing clients via phone, especially ones who are loyal to a particular stylist. I wouldn't even bother coming back to Salon Viva after this interaction if it wasn't for my trust in Holly excellent technique and poise.
