First time coming into a Sephora to use my gift card and I wasn't impressed. Mi wasn't greeted when I came in which is always a bad sign for me. I couldn't stay long but my short time there, I wasn't approached by an associate. Browsing the aisles, the prices are extreme so i happened to look over and see the travel/trial section. I was able to try new things without breaking the bank. If I like them enough, I'll get a larger size. I only got two products and was given a cute bag then I was on my way. Loyal Ulta guest here. I've only been in Sephora once, just now, but had a great experience! I walked in and three ladies were ready to help. They didn't have my bye bye under eye in store, but showed me two comparable products. Really, nothing compares so I chose to forgo the recommended products. The rep was very familiar with my product and the consistency so she understood. She said I could order online or go over to Ulta. That was very nice of her to point me to another vendor.... but I already had a Sephora gift card. I was sad that I would have to order online and pay shipping though. She then said they could order online in-store for me. Hallelujah! No $8 shipping on a $24 product! They ordered it, and I will have it in 3 biz days. One of the best, most helpful visits to a Sephora ever! I am a loyal customer for years but mostly shop online due to not caring for the customer service at my local store but was on vacation in Florida and needed a new gloss. The woman who helped me was Paige and she was so fun, knowledgeable and had such a good energy about her I wanted to buy everything. In the past I have walked away from something I needed because of a rude employee who could care less. Customer service is so important and this store has it. I've been coming to Sephora for years. My wife is a huge fan, and a regular customer so therefore I come here quite often too. This location is on par with the flagship locations in NYC in that it has the size and the capabilities that other smaller satellite locations just don't. For me what stands out with this and all of the locations that I've been to, (and I've been to several) is that the staff are always so well trained and really seem to enjoy their jobs. When it comes to products, I won't lie; some things I just don't really know anything about and some I do. But from my wife who does know her stuff they do carry quality products and the prices tend to reflect that. The stuff isn't always cheap, but it's well crafted and therefore worth the price traditionally. Their policies allowing you to exchange products are helpful as sometimes a color of lipstick or eye shadow isn't the same as you thought you loved in the store. I appreciate them looking out for my wife here as it makes he feel valued. One incredible service they offer are makeovers done professionally in store that technically are free. They consult with the client and then choose products to use, and you can choose to purchase some or all of what it is they use with really no pressure to buy that I've seen (and I am a salesman). Great company, great location and though a bit pricy, I feel a good value too. read more

Finding all my favorite brands (and discovering new ones) all in one place is always fun for a girl. Don't expect to get a discount because you happen to find it all in one place. Clinique & Bliss still cost the same as they would if you got them from the retailer directly, but getting them in one spot is worth it. Awesome customer service at this one. Yay ! I'm not a fan of either the Phoenix or Scottsdale location in AZ. But my faith is restored in the brand. Apparently it's all in the individual managers hands to keep the staff motivated to help customers. I went there for help with a specific product line. The girl helping me lit up like a Christmas bulb when I told her what I needed. Turns out the trainer for that line was in the store. Awesome, she came right over and helped me. She continued to help us after my decision was made. The other staff checked in to make sure she didn't need them to assist. We had friends to meet so our visit was not as long as I wished for. Later, after dinner. We returned to the store. different shift , different staff. Service still impeccable. We were helped with a smile, given free samples of items we were on the fence about and the cashier even looked up my points balance ( without being asked) she didn't want me to miss out on the awesome December giveaway items. I got a really bad sun burn. My gf said we should come to this store to get something to take the burn down. The staff was really helpful and suggested a after sun lotion. It worked really fast cooling my sun burn. In a day or two the lotion tanned my face. Normally I would be red forever and peel. Most if not all the products have a sample or tester so one can try the product before buying. Store is mostly for women. But they were friendly and helped me out. Good experience. read more

Sephora has great products. Been to Sephora stores in Italy and France and guess what? You can only find the snootiest sales ladies in Jacksonville, Florida. Even Sephora in Manhattan had better service. I was looking for presents for some girl friends and needed a little bit of info and asked one of the girls for help. The girl said she couldn't help me because she couldn't leave her station when there wasn't anybody in her area. Another instance I wanted to try a different liquid foundation. Have been used to Smashbox but wanted to experiment. The lady attending to me kept pushing me to try a different brand. Asked her if she was using it because she looked so made up. Informed her I wasn't interested in looking like her and she finally quit. Another time...well I think that's enough for now. I made my point. I get my products online now. I used to feel funny about shopping in a predominately women's make up store, but no more. They have added an extensive men's shaving section that I really like. It has taken the nicks and cuts out of my daily shave. I have decided to update and upgrade my rating. I wandered into Sephora while waiting for a dinner reservation to see about a particular tinted moisturizer I was looking for. I found what I was looking for but didn't like the smell of it so at that point I might have looked a little lost. Jonathan came over to me and inquired on what I was looking for. He wanted me to try a foundation instead but I hesitated because I can NEVER get properly color matched and have wasted too much money in the past. Well he insisted we give it a try and said if I got home and didn't like it or thought the color was off to bring it back and we'd try something else no problem. He suggested Smashbox studio skin foundation since it's very buildable. I can use it for light coverage or go heavier for fuller coverage. He swatched about 3-4 shades before ultimately deciding what he thought was the best and closest.... I'm not sure how he did it, but he is a color matching genius!! Never in my life have I found a foundation that does exactly what I need it to, look flawless, match my skin perfectly, and it be something I can wear 10-12 hours. His customer service was excellent and far exceeded my expectations. There are still a couple employees that make helping you seem like a chore, the past few times have definitely been an improvement. read more

As a VIB Sephora customer, I have shopped at this store for 10 years. I've never felt compelled to write a review before my experience today, though I've always been met with helpful employees and good overall experiences. Today was different. Last month I redeemed 500 points for a gift set I had my eyes on. When I got home, I found two samples in the gift were empty from the start. I immediately wrote to the nationwide Sephora customer service and got a "too bad, take it up with your store" response. Knowing it wasn't the stores fault, I dropped it. However, today, I just mentioned the story as I was checking out and the employees and managers were SO helpful in rectifying the issue. They made me samples of the two empty products I'd received. The manager apologized and gave me the current 500 point redemption as a way to make it up to me. This store went above and beyond to make sure I left happy. I am so glad to have a Sephora with excellent customer-service. read more

What a wonderful store, they carry a vast array of cosmetics and fragrances, usually at a price lower than the department store. I come here when I visit Jacksonville, when I'm running low on my favorite perfumes and cosmetics. There is a store in Orlando, but it is located in an unfortunate mall that I choose not to frequent. Sadly, upon my last visit, the store did not have my perfume in stock. Not to worry, as the clerk suggested, I will go online to order. They did have a nice selection of Philosophy shower gels, so it wasn't a wasted trip. read more

I never realized what Sephora meant to me until I moved to a town that didn't have one. So right here in Jacksonville I am back in my happy place. There is nothing remarkable about this Sephora compared to the others. It hasn't been gussied up like some of the branches in bigger cities, but that's not the goal. The goal is for a laid back, relaxing guest experience that shows respect for the resort town luxury mall it's comfortably nestled in. As a loyal customer I walk in, knowing exactly what brands and products I am looking for. The service team, as a matter of makeup world protocol staffed by people who are trendier than most, is cordial and not intrusive. They stand-by more than willing to help people looking for guidance. You can't go wrong with the brands offered at Sephora. However if you are looking for make-up cases and utensils (other than brushes) I would try Ulta or a department store. Sephora charges way too much for these types of items that are similar in quality. read more

I have always been a fan of Saphora's at the town center. The staff has always been knowledgeable and helpful. That was pre-covid. My friend and booked appointments Saturday for 5:30. 30 minutes for me. For eyes and 60 minutes for her for a full face. My friend is older and wanted advice on what products to use. She was hoping the young lady that was her "beauty advisor" would would show her what she used so she could purchase the products after they finished. She wanted to buy it all. Moisturizer, serium, primer, foundation, concealer, bronzer, eyeliner, we talking the whole shebang. Unfortunately her advisor did not engage in conversation, mention product names, and rushed through the processes. My friend had to request eyeliner. The young lady was gracious enough to let her take pictures of the foundation and concealer bottles to get the brand and color. I was so disappointed when I found out how she was treated. It was so loud in the store. Even though we were only a few feet away I could not see or hear what was going on. I play on taking my friend to Dillard's. I know they will be more than happy to help her find what she needs. Plus will be polite throughout the process. So disappointed in Sephora. read more

I refuse to buy into the phallocentric, misogynistic idea of Western beauty. But, have you tried Urban Decay's De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray? FAAABUUULOUSSSS. Wait... what I meant to say is that Womyn should not have to deal with the oppression of having to conform to society's warped sense of femininity. And Sephora's Lash Plumper mascara? You can spackle that crap on and NO CLUMPING. Who am I kidding? I love makeup. I love facial products and creams and lotions and astringent. I can tweeze, mattify and exfoliate with the best of them. I can spend hours in Sephora and not break into hives, like the GF does. I like the fact that they give you samples and freebies with your purchase and that (if you're a Beauty Insider -- which is kind of like a frequent buyer discount program) you get a birthday present. It'll be some lipstick that looks horrible on me, but it's free and I'm the type who gets off on free stuff. The best thing about Sephora is their return policy. If you buy something, wear it for a couple of days, and then decide that it makes you look like a cheap hooker, you can return it to the store and get your money back. Case in point - in a moment of girly weakness, I bought a $42 bottle of foundation (Laura Mercier Oil Free). I took it back because I found out that it stood no chance against my crazy-oily skin plus, while the color matched in the store, in full sunlight I looked like an oompa loompa. Back to the depths of hell it went and I replaced it with something cheaper and better, no questions asked. Things I don't like about Sephora are few, but highly annoying. If you're there at the wrong time, the place will be inundated with tween girls trying on sparkly, canary yellow tokidoki eyeshadow and thinking that they are hot shit. Secondly, the store needs to be bigger and the fragrance section needs to be located far away so as to quarantine the lunatics haphazardly spraying 15 different kinds of perfume into the air. And, Sephora, reign in your salespeople. I'm guessing they get some sort of employee discount, but can you, like, limit the amount of product they can wear to work? I'm not buying eyeliner from The Joker. So, yes, I love Sephora. As guilty as I feel for betraying my women's liberal arts college feminist roots, I am thoroughly convinced that I will one day master the art of the smoky eye application (without looking like someone punched me in the face) and that Sephora will lead me to that promised land. I walked in today crying and asking for help after a horrific eyebrow waxing experience and Kim T was absolutely spectacular. She was so sweet and helpful, and helped guide me through the process of using an eyebrow pencil since I never had before. After she did them she wiped the pencil off and had me do it too to make sure I felt comfortable with it. She was completely awesome and helped cheer me up. A+ and Gold Star for Kim! read more

I am addicted to shopping here. I absolutely love the VIB rewards program they have. I get a special gift for my birthday and earn points towards free trial size items and occasionally they have full size ones too. I have had so much help from the lovely ladies that work here. They never steer me wrong! There was one time that I bought something I didn't end up liking and even though I had tried it, they still returned it for me. If your not sure that the product will meet your expectations or your weary about spending a lot of money on one particular product the sales associates will be more then happy to prepare you a sample of the product/products with a printout on how to use them free of charge. They also have they're rewards card, whenever you buy something you get a certain amount of points on your card and each time you go back they tell you how many points you have and what they have available for the amount of points you have or you can opt. to keep racking them up to get bigger rewards or multiples. You also get a free birthday gift when your birthday month rolls around, you don't have to wait until the exact day you were born just the month, all you have to do is either bring them your rewards card or if you have passbook bring your phone so that they can scan it an voila you get your free gift no purchase needed! Awesome Sephora location! Staff is friendly, helpful, and patient. The employees seem happy to be there. They greet you and ask if you need help, but aren't pushy or annoying. They are also always walking around, so it's easy to get help when you need it. The place itself is clean and organized. The testers aren't a mess and are, for the most part, in the right spot. Also, most aren't old or completely ruined--in fact, they're usually in good condition. If they aren't, the staff would probably be happy to help. The selection of brands and products in that store is good, and things are easy to find on your own, even if you haven't been there before. If you're in the area and are in need of makeup or are just a makeup lover, this is the place to go! read more

Total girly paradise, you can test everything in the store, from the $10 lipglosses to the $150 face cream. Salespeople aren't overly pushy like you'll get at mall cosmetic counters. My only complaint is when you order online, you get several nice samples of products with your order. At this store, ask for samples and some of the people working the register look at you like you just sprouted a second head. If you can wait, and sephora.com is having a free shipping offer, or if you're ordering over $75 worth of stuff, get it online for bonuses. I LOVE Sephora. It literally is my candy store! I was just here yesterday to pick up a few of my favorites that I have run out of and I was approached what seemed like a million times asking if I needed help. I appreciate the attentiveness of the associates but It almost became overkill! Sephora gives us our high end favorites from Dior, Marc Jacobs, and Lancome, to MakeupForever, Nars, and Urban Decay. They offer fragrance, makeup and brushes, skin care, body creams, hair products, nail polish and professional services. I LOVE a store where you can "try before you buy" and at Sephora there is a sample of every product! They also honor their return policy on items you are dissatisfied with which makes a girl purchase with confidence.
