It always smells wonderful and os a makeup wonderland. Most of the time people are nice and helpful. The rewards system sucks, spend $100 for a small sample . But other than that

I was at this mall for a Yelp Event. I forgot my red lipstick. I decided I would check out Sephora. To my amazement and good fortune I walked in and went to the Sephora lipstick section. I found the perfect red and wanted to try it. A nice salesman who was helping another customer saw I was having trouble with the lipstick ( it wouldn't turn up to open it.) He stopped what he was doing and opened up a brand new one for me to try... I used it and out the door I went back to my event. This lipstick stayed on for hours not like my original one... I was so happy with the Sephora lipstick I went back after my event and bought it... I thanked the kind sales rep and went to the checkout ...... I met another sales rep named Shovana ( I think that was her name .) She took the time to find my original account and let me know I had hundreds of points left on it.. I walked out with my Sephora red lipstick and some samples... This store is kept very clean and organized... Everything is easy to read and displayed beautifully... The staff couldn't have been more helpful or nicer... This Sephora Store in Menlo Pk Mall is doing everything right! It was such a pleasure shopping here. If I'm ever back in the area I will make sure I stop in....

Was in from out of town for a special occasion. Made an appointment for a full face makeover. Got Britney and she was really talented and a really nice person. Great to chat with. She knew exactly what products to use, how to do my shadow, applied lashes and basically made me look better than ever. Everyone in the store was super helpful and nice. And at 48 I might not be Sephora's ideal candidate for a makeover since I'm not 25. But it was a great experience.

Return policy - no time limit stated except for online purchases.

Let me start by saying that I love Sephora in general, but I'm thinking of never going to another one again and taking my well over $1K annual beauty product spending (VIB Rouge status) elsewhere - Ulta, Amazon, department stores, manufacturers' websites, wherever - after my experience at the Menlo Park mall store, where I went to return some unused & unopened items with receipts last night. This place has terrible customer service. It has got to be the worst Sephora ever. Looooong checkout lines, mostly because there aren't enough cashiers open and the ones that are open are very poorly trained. They don't even know their own return policy & each cashier just makes it up as they go along - one said 1 yr time limit, another said 2 yrs. Cashier told me that since receipts were old, they couldn't accept the returns. Shame on me for not reading the return policy beforehand and calling her out right then and there. Fact: there is no time limit stated in the return policy on the back of their receipt (see pic), except for online purchases, which are limited to 60 days for return to a store. When I asked her if it would work to do returns as if I didn't have receipts she said yes, sure, and to give her my ID so she could process. Shame on her for a) not knowing the return policy, and b) not telling me what the consequence of processing as non-receipted return would be. It went through this 3rd party vendor called The Return Equation (check out their awful Yelp reviews, linked below, if you have time). They rejected my return and essentially implied that it appeared to be a fraudulent return (ex: stealing stuff & returning it - only I had the receipt). The experience was embarrassing and infuriating, especially since I had the receipts all along and the cashier knew this. But since she didn't know the return policy, it turned into this messy situation instead. Oh, and I had to ask her to give me my unaccepted for return products back - they would've kept them if I hadn't asked. She didn't even apologize for that. How rude! And shady, and incompetent.... An overall awful experience that made me feel compelled to vent by posting this review and sharing it with everyone. Also, as a warning: don't give up your ID if you're returning something with a receipt, because your return activity is being tracked and it will be held against you. After my recent trip to Japan I was bummed I wouldn't be able to restock on my favorite products anytime soon until I came across this place! They had a great selection of makeup, skincare, and beauty products to choose from! They were a great price range compared to trying to find them on Amazon! The aesthetic was so ADORABLE too! Between the pink shopping carts, claw machines, and overall set up, this place radiated good vibes!

Even the packaging for everything was so cute that you didn't want to open it! In the future, I hope they can add better signage because it can be tricky to find what you're looking for. Stop by to shop if you're looking for any of the following: *Asian cosmetics- They have everything from makeup to skin care to hair care. There's a few well-known Korean and Japanese brands like innisfree, peripera, and more. Testers for makeup products are available! *Asian snacks- Towards the back of the store, you'll be able to see aisles of ramen, mochi, candy, chips, drinks, etc. There's a lot of unique snacks for good prices. *Toys - There's a small section selling character collectibles from popular Japanese culture, plushies, claw machines, and more. There's a bunch of other miscellaneous items like slippers, luggage, silverware, etc. Oh... and they have pink shopping carts! I'm a sucker for pink.

In my never ending quest to maintain good health I have been aware of the benefits of certain…read morenutritional supplements to my regular diet that enhance the natural function of my body. For years I have added things like grape seed extract, ginseng, and other herbals. For the most part they seem to have been useful. Yet with age and study, I began looking for a more systemic way to sustain my vigor and quality of life. I am far from a true believer in anything, and have a healthy skepticism toward most of the advertising and word of mouth that suggested specific regimens or singular products represented as panaceas for good health. I just didn't believe most of the hype. Then about nine months ago, a good friend mentioned that she was trying some supplements from a company called NHT (New Health Trends) Global. She described some of the results she was experiencing after several months of taking them - like, better sleep, clearer skin, lower stress, etc. I believed her, and when she asked if I would be interested in finding out more, or trying some, I agreed, with my empirical eye thinking, "I'm not so sure about this, but I'll check it out." She thought so much of her results, that she now had a business relationship with the distributor. Knowing about other outfits that offer similar products, but require the purchase of expensive inventory, I asked about that, and was assured that she would provide what I wanted at reasonable prices, and that she never had that problem with NHT. So, I bought some Noni juice, Restore Silver, Omega III, and a few other things to address some of the "getting older" health things I was noticing. A month later, I began noticing small positive changes, but did not talk about them. Lightening age spots, better longer sleep, and even some weight loss. All good. Three months later, things were still trending in the right direction. Nine months out, and I am beginning to see someone new emerging in the mirror. Who is that younger dude? Satisfied that something positive was happening, and feeling no pressure to buy more if I chose not to, I attended an educational meeting at the Metuchen headquarters of NHT Global. There was an excellent presentation of the philosophy and strategic vision of the company, as well an orientation of their website, which was full of information about corporate vision and the full product inventory. Very useful in finding out who the management was, and how they conduct their affairs. NHTC also seems to be a successful small cap public company. They are doing quite well. The people with me all seemed curious and happy with what they were experiencing so far. They were all as friendly as they were curious. So, while still a skeptic, I find that I am slowly being convinced that these folks know what they are doing, and are truly interested in the health of their customers. Yes. If you want to be part of their success, there is a way to get directly involved, but that was not the thrust of this event, nor many of the conversations I have continued to have with my friend. I am still drinking the Noni, and swallowing a few of their capsules daily. Will see where this all leads.
