One I arrived at the perfume area, a nice young lady could see I needed help and came straight over. I showed her a picture and away we went. She unlocked the case and told me that she would transport it to the register area. While I had to wait for a few minutes in line, I did notice that the weekend before Christmas, there were at least 6 registers with only three open... If you don't plan to staff them at the busiest time of the year, why even have them? Seems like they could use that space to sell more product. I found their associates are really knowledgable about the products & they always ask me questions about the styles I like to help me find the perfect shade & finish (I love matte) AND there has been times id come into MAC with an idea in mind & they completely "redesign my face" for example I came in oneday & just told them I want to have darker lips for for fall and winter with neutral eyes. & they have me so many options & recommendations on what I can do with just that one idea & I was so happy with what I bought! They also showed me a finishing spray that made such a huge difference in my makeup. Whenever they help me pick out makeup they always make sure I look good when I leave as well. I'm in the woods of Hilton Head, there are non L'Occitane en Provence close by. But there are where I live! I head to the Walt Whitman Mall and I meet a nice sales associate. There are several techs not doing anything sitting around and you walk in and they want to schedule for an appointment much later in the day bc "this is a busy time". One client in the salon. I dont find myself to be a difficult client, i never complain, all of the ladies know me by name, and no matter what i have done (usually a regular pedicure and an eyebrow waxing) i always tip at least 20$. I think at this point they have forever lost me as a client, which is sad bc i have been loyal to them for over 15 years.

Coming in I booked for an full head of color, wanting to be brought down to a chocolate brown. I took the online Madison Reed test and it said it's possible (no mention of highlights), so coming in I had high hopes. REMEMBER, All color is $97..After I talked with a stylist, she said it was impossible for me to dye my hair that light, and only half head highlights would be available. NOW the service is up to $192. ALSO the stylist was being confusing saying that she could change my "base" color AND add highlight. To both me and my mom, this meant lightening my hair. The actual service was fine.. until the end where I had to style my own hair myself. (Btw if you have curly hair, the products dried my hair out.. I frlt like I was touching tree bark) When I was using their trashy products, I thought my hair had ZERO change. It still looked black. I didn't even finish doing my own hair before walking over to my mom and complaining. My mom also agreed that there was almost ZERO change. Even after standing in the sun. I was visibly upset when the stylist came forward and asked what was wrong. I voiced my concerns about how it doesn't look any different, and that I'm not happy with the results. The stylist then said that it will develop and get lighter over time, and I just have to be patient (I call BS). I asked her to clarify and she just repeated her statement. Then she said that I would have to come in every 3-4 weeks for root touch ups and that also helps in it getting lighter over time. I got so upset I left when my mom paid. When I got home, I noticed that my highlights are completely uneven and patchy! Not to mention its GINGER. I asked for CHOCOLATE BROWN, not ginger! My head is starkly black with a random mixture of thin and thick ginger highlights. My middle part isn't even in the middle of my head. The total irony in this whole experience is that they have "Never comprise" on the wall infront of where I have to wash my hair. When all I did was comprise and get played. My stylist is Denise, and she should really be ashamed for what she did to my hair. I am currently buying hair dye myself to fix this trash.
