This location is unprofessional to say the least. The way the employees discriminate some shoppers is extremely upsetting specially with the situation that happened today. The employee by the name Estee or Esme was completely out of line, rude, and in appropriate and discriminated my friend. Treated him poorly and failed to provide valid company policy information when asked to do so. You cannot just lie to customers and make up fake policies to shoppers about live streaming and face-time phone usage. All customers should be treated with respect and these employees need to be trained on basic customer service skills, mainly with being fair and consistent to all customers. read more

The manager of this establishment, is by far one of the most unprofessional, lazy, and incompetent people I've ever met. To be a manager of a store and allow it to be messy and dirty is so embarrassing. This is one of the worst Sephoras in Orange County. Kim the "manager" needs to try to look pretty if she is selling makeup. No one wants to buy makeup from someone that looks like that. The people that work there told me that they did not carry the benefit product even when I showed on my app that I had ordered it from Sephora . The makeup is trashed because it's Santa Ana. I have asked for help there and been told "it's over there". walked in and no employee greeted me. not really a problem because i get that stores get busy, but as i was walking around looking for my items i made eye contact with multiple employees and not one person asked if i needed help finding anything. what actually pissed me off was the checkout. there was nobody at the front register so i stood there waiting for a couple minutes until an employee yelled over asking if i was ready. they didn't even come to the front either, i had to walk over to them to process my purchase on their phone. while i was getting my card ready they go "number hunny" with attitude. didn't ask if i found everything okay, if i was helped today, literally nothing. the attitude was unnecessary and the customer service was honestly horrible. definitely just going to the sephora on the other side of the mall from now on. read more

Avoid this store, if you can. Came here on a Saturday evening (today) and no one greeted us when we walked in. I didn't get her name, but I asked one of the worker to confirm that I was grabbing the right liquid eyeliner by showing her a picture of what I wanted. At first she sassed me asking if I was looking for the eyeliner or the mascara, "because that's definitely a mascara". After walking over to the brand's section, she handed me the gel eyeliner; my husband pointed that it was a gel liner and not a liquid liner. I booked a 60-minute full-face makeup session for 11:15 on Tuesday morning. However, an hour before the appointment, it was canceled because the store manager tried to call me, but I was unable to answer. Since I was already at the store, they asked me to wait another 30 minutes and offered a 30-minute feature highlight on eyes instead. The result was very disappointing--my eyes didn't look any better. I will not return or recommend this service to any friends. Since I was unhappy with the result but had to hurry off to my next appointment, they offered me a "gift" which contained some used products. I opt to go to this Sephora as it is less busy as the one in South Coast Plaza. I stopped in to grab a few items & to get my birthday goodie. Everything seemed pretty well stocked & customer service was great. I already knew what I was going in there for so I made a beeline to Fenty & to ABH. I was greeted right away and asked if I needed any help or if I wanted a basket. I was pretty much in and out of this location in 10 minutes which is awesome. Roger is the most amazing makeup artist EVER! I am in my early 50's and feel like I don't know how to do my makeup anymore. Roger helped me with my problem areas and made me feel beautiful as well as educated by the time I left. He is extremely easy to talk to and really listens. He brought up things from the beginning of our conversation at the end which made me feel heard and suggested techniques that really changed the way I will do my makeup in the future. I've been coming to Sephora for years and one thing I dislike the most is how my shade in foundations is constantly changing the formula or getting discontinued. Didn't really mind but let me tell you what was the final straw for me! I bought a foundation few days ago, just to come home and realize it's expiring this month. So I go to the store and get a refund then they suggest I order it online because they were out of stock at the store. I open my mail today all excited just to see they are putting labels over the expired foundations!!! This is incredibly insane!! I went here with some friends a while back and two of them bought lip glosses. They both tried them and didn't like the lip glosses so they went back in line to return them. They both had the same cashier and she kept questioning them about why they wanted to return it and was just very rude. Then when one of my friends went to ask for samples she responded saying she had none but after i saw her give the next customer some samples. I stopped going to an actual Sephora store because I kept getting treated unfairly at my nearby Sephora in Torrance(a sales associate was a former classmate and refused to help me because they were friends with people that didn't like me...very childish even after 12 years). I decided to just try my luck and go to another Sephora. I was very shy and scared because I didn't want to be feel that way anymore. But I decided to try my luck because I was in the area and I really wanted to purchase this specific foundation. After that visit, I feel like I met my fairy godmother. Elaine was so helpful and everytime I needed help she was there and I kid you not I had trouble finding certain products and when she came to help it was the last ones they had in stock twice!!!! Placed a pick up in store today on YOUR APP. Order got fulfilled and email notification sent saying I can pick up and that the store is open till 6pm on Sunday. Again checked on the SEPHORA app to make sure it was open, said open. Well arrived there at 4:30pm all for it to be CLOSED with a sign saying it closed at 3pm on Sunday. I'm fuming. I drove wayyyy out of my way to go pick this item up all for your lack of running a business to update the hours on your own dam APP and email notification!!! It's not like I checked Google or Yelp.... it was your own app telling the WRONG time. For a corporation like Sephora it's mind blowing you guys can't update your own store hours. I'm canceling my order and took my business to Nordstrom where they had accurate hours on their app for me to pick up curbside. Another reason why I always choose other store vs Sephora. read more

This place is always hectic, but once you find an available sales rep, you are in for good service. I got here and the place was full but I ran into Christina and asked her about the two products I was looking for. She pointed at the counters and I found once of them. Then, I ran into another girl (so sad I forgot her name) and she gave me a little class on face proportions and how the make up goes. Su much fun! Then I was lucky enough to score a "tart" event and not only I got a value kit but also got some goodies (test size samples) that I can put in my purse or travel bag. John was such an absolute sweetheart for taking the time to educate me on skincare and establishing a proper regiment. He was transparent and patient with showing me what would work well with my skin, and didn't try to up sell me on products. Will definitely be purchasing a couple of his recommended products in the near future once I finish my current line of products. Overall, a great store. Not congested and chaotic like your typical Sephora or the Sephora across the street. There is one downside though - the selections they have here are more limited because it is a smaller store, but if you're looking for the typical popular products, it shouldn't be a problem. Also, the store was closed and I had no idea at 9...fun place to get lost. They kindly had informed me of the store being closed, and when I requested to run back in for a beauty blender that I almost forgot to purchase, they still remained warm and helpful. read more

I came into today so excited to shop the sale and check everything out. It was a COMPLETE fail at the register. After picking my items after a lot of thought (things aren't cheap here - figuring out what you want to spend your money on can take some time) I was ready to check out. I happily go to the register where I was quickly informed by the not so friendly associate that I would NOT be getting ANY discount until a later date. I agreed as I didn't even know what to say - the store was packed and I didn't want to make a scene or honestly embarrass myself. I went on the app afterwards where guess what? I CAN MAGICALLY GET THE DISCOUNT. I decided to contact customer service via the app for help - I still dropped $200+ was treated poorly and didn't receive the discount I was absolutely owed. Was told they work on a different platform and they can't help - what in the heck does that even mean?! Thanks for nothing! I then email Sephora's customer service email and the response I got was pathetic - they said sorry and told me the discount tiers - THANKS FOR NOTHING! Before the Sephora on the small side of the mall opened, I thought it would be very convenient. However, just like the secondary VS located on this side of the mall, it is smaller than the Sephora store in the main mall and thus carries less merch. On more than one occasion, I've come here thinking I could avoid the crowd and lines of the larger store either to not find the item I sought at this location or to find a long line here as well. The employees are very helpful and friendly -- on my most recent visit I was helped by not one but two employees! However, after finding the Josie Maran makeup removing and skin purifying wipes I came to buy, I decided against my purchase because there were about six people in line and the line was not moving! My boyfriend was tired and I could tell neither one of us had the energy to wait. Note to management: Maybe your stores could invest in the mobile checkout devices like Nordstrom got so that people can pay for their merch anywhere in the store where an employee has a smartphone with a barcode scanner and square? read more
