The customer service in this place is crap. Just employees walking aground aimlessly with no Product knowledge. Sephora has gone completely down hill in the customer service department. I had to literally stand around for about twenty minutes till I realized no one is gonna even bother to help me. At one point I saw the Person collecting trash attempting to help someone ...did I miss something ? Every time I asked can someone help me I was met with "I'll be right back." Luckily I was able to help myself. It's funny how all these YouTube gurus rave about all these great products at Sephora that are all sponsored videos but when you go to get the product of try it out you are met with "ummm I really don't know" response from someone who works At Sephora. It's funny I wonder why even stay a rouge when they just give you some crappy lipstick sample that breaks after one use ? Oh and the icing of the cake when you get to the register "did anyone help you today?" HA ! What a joke. read more

Came here for the first time on a Wednesday morning around 10. The staff were not the most friendly, I was trying to get some opinion on the nude lipstick I tried on, the lady who "helped" me did the bare minimum, told me that I might wan to pick a nude with more color, whatever that means, and walked away. Was NOT the most helpful or friendly. My second encounter with a different staff was to ask her for a tester since it was not available, again, no smile or greeting, she did opened a new eyeliner for me to test. By far the best sephora I've been too! For all you makeup junkies out there look no further you have found the holy grail. This location is one of the bigger ones .it's for the most part well staffed so you aren't standing around for too long looking for someone to answer your questions. I could spend a whole day in here without realizing. Also the way the perfume section is set up really catches my eye, it's not cluttered and everything is organized and clean. It is a pain when it's busy, but I just avoid it and go early. read more

Came here because I was in the area, despite the reviews. Took 30 minutes to finally find someone not talking to their co-worker and the girl told me to ask someone else. I waited, looked around, finally found someone. Ask for the samples I was holding and to find out about covering some blemishes. I had to wait a bit but that was fine. Her suggestion didn't really help but she clearly tried to help as best as she could. Then I went to find those evian duo sprays and the worker I asked said they didn't have it but had another one like it and then showed me the ONE I ASKED FOR. She goes "We don't sell aveno, that's Walgreens." Uh. Lady. I asked specifically for the product in your hand. I know how to pronounce it, my dad used to drink it when I was a kid. The only time I was treated with respect was when I went to purchase my items, and I feel that was only because I'm a VIB Rouge. Maybe to get noticed in the store you need to walk around with your member card taped to your forehead. Overall, I wouldn't be back here unless I'm in the mood to be frustrated. read more

After being watched by a couple of employees (probably because I'm African American & had on sweats - sue me I worked from home today), a slim black gay guy asked me if I needed help. I said no, but when I did need help for facial products he was clueless. He directed me to the "most popular" items, which could be found on the end cap. So I grab the Dolce&Gabanna cologne I always get and head to the skin section. A rude heavyset girl says, "are you looking for a basket" implying that I shouldn't be walking around with a box of cologne. Instead of telling her what she needs, in efforts to spare her being, I asked about face products. She replies "there's nothing wrong with your face, it's fine" . . . Sweetheart, I told you under my eyes are heavy & dry. Why are you dismissing me? It was profiling @ it's best. Crazy thing is I work for an app that's probably on all employees phone. Needless to say I made the purchase, because you know the saying about ghetto employees ... you can take the rat out the hood, but not the hood out the rat :) read more

came in last night in search for a couple of items that I needed. I've heard really good reviews about nars luminous weightless foundation. I've been pretty stuck to everything mac all year now, kind of wanted to test out something else. I asked one of the staff members if she could help me find my shade. she said, "I'll find someone to be right with you." that's great, I waited there trying on lipsticks, 15 minutes pass. nothing, I looked over to see what the makeup stylists were doing. they were just talking, only one was attending someone. every time I walked past them, they just ignored me. really wanted this foundation & I did not want to take a guess on which one was my shade. so different from my beloved mac. I'll try a different sephora next time if I ever have the urge to go into one again. it was overall a meh experience, I just got the items I came originally in search for &, left. read more

I was so happy to see a Sephora in Downtown Brooklyn. The store was big & beautiful but the staff was unfriendly. When I went it wasn't crowded. I wasn't greeted or asked if I needed help, I had to search for someone when I did the person seem annoyed. The staff really needs Customer Service Training! So Disappointed.!!!! read more

So I went to this location today for leisure. I do love urban decay products so I figured I'll stop in. I asked one woman where it was and she was so friendly and pointed me to it. So I looked for my favorite color lip gloss and saw it was abused!! I ask the closest associate if they had a new tester and she takes it and says no but, proceeds to look for one. She finds it gives it to me and I thank her (she says nothing btw) and walk to the closest mirror... I dip a clean disposable brush into it apply it and 5 seconds later she swoops behind and says I'll take that and pulls it from my shocked hands... this isn't the 1st time I've felt disrespected or like I was being watched at a Sephora the 1st time was on 42nd st. It's always another black person that has done this to me. I will not spend another dollar at Sephora... extremely prejudice! I do not recommend this company!!! read more

I kind of assumed that the "perfume specialist" would not be very helpful. He blew me away. Really knew his scents. You could tell him "I want to smell like I just got back from a trip to Paris" and would direct you to the right scent. Very impressed. read more

I would have given the review five stars if everyone working here was like Paige. She gave me a mini makeover of "everyday eyes" which not only looked great but also taught me how to update my eye makeup and that I really need to buy new applicator brushes. Paige was really sweet and more than competent. The other employees I dealt with not so much, to the point that I was ready to never step foot in another Sephora again. read more

Very terrible service! Once came here early in the morning before work. I was looking for a specific-formula type of lipstick, one of the employees quickly led me to some random brand, and handed me a shopping basket with of the 2 lipsticks in it, didn't even give me a chance to say "no thank you" or "oh let me try it on first". Also, when customers here clearly look lost, the employees barely stop to ask if they need help. They are always pacing around and talking to their co-workers, but I rarely see them help customers. The the little stations with the tissue boxes, sponges, cotton pads, etc. always need to be refilled and SO many pencil products here need to be sharpened. The nail area is always such a mess too. The perfume section ladies were not helpful when I went there, I asked if they carry a certain scent and they gave me such an attitude when I couldn't pronounce some fancy name. Rude! read more

This has to be the least helpful Sephora I've ever been to. Walked in and there was a class in session, which is fine, but couldn't find anyone on the floor to help. Finally when I opened a drawer to search for a product on my own, I got "called out" (their words) by one of the "sales associates" who then offered to help. She was already busy with another person but offered to have them check the stock for the product I needed which was out. She then asked if I wanted a sample since I needed it right away and I said yes. While the person she was helping is off testing more makeup, you would think she'd get my sample. Nope, she walks off and starts talking to someone who may have just gotten off their shift. Walked out. Never trying to shop there again. It's not worth the aggravation. Also, you would think with the amount of foot traffic they get, they'd think to staff the store properly. Avoid this place. read more
