Staff is friendly and aren't annoyingly stalking customers around the store. With that being said, their inventory on items isn't the best and their selection is small compared to other Sephora stores i visited. It is the smallest store I've been to and the only thing that i would come back for is the friendly staff. If I'm looking to stock up on items though, I'd have to opt to go to a larger Sephora with better selections. read more

I went in to look at some new skincare products and to just have a leisurely stroll around the store. I was approached by 4 different sales associates in a matter of maybe five minutes asking if I needed help. I politely declined each time, and said that I was just looking for now. One of them approached me a second time being really pushy about getting me to have her help me because I "looked curious". At this point I put the one product back that I was planning to purchase and just walked out. They really need to coordinate their sales floor staff a little better, or train them to be less aggressive sales people. Not going back here any time soon. read more

Absolutely amazing customer service and I really hope it stays this way. Staff here really shows me how the ideal Sephora experience should be. You walk in, you've read about some products or you've watched a YouTube or Instagram video because there's a hype about one certain product. Question is...is that product right for you? Well you can try yourself to apply foundation, concealer, or highlight but unless you're carrying a blending brush on you, you're not going to see how well your face took it unless a staff member helps you. This is where I was impressed, two separate artists walked up to me at different times because they could just tell I needed help. I mean, my body language was practically giving it off. Both applied foundation on my face, and blended it flawlessly. I mean, the technique of both were great. They were patient. They were knowledgeable about the products. They knew how to sell y'all. But they sold to me what was individualized for my skin complexion and type. It was something I had tried and was pleased with. They offered this level of customer service not knowing whether I was a beauty insider or not, not knowing whether I was really buying or not but really because they were genuinely trying to help. One of the artists name is Jisoo and I will go back again and find out who the other one is. (Update: her name is Haseena) I forgot her name. But both phenomenal!! Sephora did great hiring these two and of all the years I've put money into this store, I have never been as pleased until this point. It was simple, they were genuine and attentive. Will definitely be back as I only live 5 min away! Parking lot is huge and easy to get in and out. 3rd visit here in 1 week. So I went in today for just a foundation and ended up spending over $200 walking out the door.. 4 stars only because they don't carry YSL.. but everything else was amazing. A make up artist named Sabree helped me pick out a foundation and concealer and then after she took the time to give me tips and advice on applying make up, moisturizing, priming, etc. She was so knowledgeable and amazing and really took the time to answer all my questions. Although I'm upset they don't carry YSL, I'll definitely will be going back. Sabree and the rest of the employees and artists were are so sweet! read more

The girls in Bay Terrace Sephora are the absolute best out of every New York Store! Both Jessica's are extremely helpful Maria is an absolute sweet heart and will never let you leave not looking your best! Amanda is kind and always makes you look amazing. I was so excited when I heard that there was going to be a Sephora opening in Bay Terrace because the next closest Sephora close by is in Manhasset and that's already a 30 minute drive from Bayside. The store was so clean and every same/"Try Me" product was new. I don't know about you but I prefer to not try products that other people have tried because you don't know where another person's been. The sales associate were extremely and continuously offered their help. I definitely felt the excitement around the store especially because it was opening day. On opening day, & the next two days after opening day (I think) if you make a $25 in store purchase, you're given a free tote bag with your purchase (score on the free Sephora products!) only time will tell on whether this Sephora is going to strive on customer service. My payment was quick and easy and even though there were a bunch of people in store, there was no line for the registers which made my payment quick and easy. First of all, the large unattractive photos on the front window are a big eyesore. The staff is full of girls wearing makeup that looks as if it were applied with a fire hose. The cashiers seem to have a difficult time putting their phones down while working. Not high end. No thanks, I'll stick with Dior in Lord & Taylor. read more

I went into this location on a busy night while a sale was going on, the customer service was still beyond outstanding, Even with the high volume of customers. Claire took the time to help me choose each item (I basically needed new everything). Every item she recommended, that I purchased, I'm in absolute love with! Thank you so much to Claire! Customer service here gets no stars, I was so happy that Sephora was opening so I don't have to go to the mall. When you go inside no one acknowledges you even when they see you. No employee asks if you need any help. Hey I see the employee just standing and talking to each other it not even that busy for the employee not to notice the couple of customer they have. Idk about this Sephora location. Everybody is nice ; you know the typical costumer service act. I came in to buy the new bobby brown foundation. If you know where it's located it's in the back area where the perfume is at by checkout. I get it! , keep an eye out, BUT once I stepped in that section I felt as a target I'm Rouge at Sephora so you know. I spend money. Therefore I wanna feel happy and comfortable when I'm buying my makeup and doing swatches, So as I get to the point..... There was this one sale representative where she was just weird because she took a giant step away from checkout, then proceeded to just stand at the corner against the wall, just to watch me swatch the Bobbi brown foundation; but my thing is this lady did not ask me for HELP or even tried to greet me. she just watched me swatch the makeup. YESS , I felt Very uncomfortable I looked at her and didn't say much because I don't want to seem like I'm the angry black women so I head and walked over to the skin care section where she moved from her staring death corner back to the register . As I'm in skin care I picked a up something and went to checkout . This lady checked me out with so much ATTITUDE. I don't want to play the bias card or say I was racially profiled but .......
