I enjoy shopping at all types of stores. Clothing, shoes, beauty supply, book stores, chocolate…read moreshops, home decor; I love it all. What makes me truly enjoy the experience is good, convenient parking; great customer service, clean organized well displayed merchandise and any loyal perks offered. Kiss Beauty wasn't a great shopping experience to me and I doubt that I will shop there again. On the plus side, it's in the shopping center where Albertsons, Panda Express and Sonic are located so there's plenty of parking. When I entered the store I wasn't greeted, instead I was commanded to use one of their moist towelettes on a table in the entryway to wash my hands. It's big inside but still manages to be cramped. I was only looking for one specific item which I was able to locate with no assistance at all offered from either of the 2 employees who were working. I don't wear weave, wigs or any other type of fictitious hair but for ladies who do there seemed to be a big selection. They carry a lot of beauty care lines but I don't like the cramped store design, the lackluster customer experience and the gazillion security cameras watching customers like dangerous criminals instead of shoppers.

What the...? Ok, all of this occurred with the store empty, so being busy isn't an excuse…read more... I am a lady of age 55. I never learned makeup well and wanted someone to help me pick colors and show me how to best apply for myself. I called and they said "Sure, come on in honey, we got ya!" So you can imagine how crushed I was when it went sideways. Arriving dressed nice and ready to spend a pretty penny..... THIS happened: The young lady wanted to put reddish GLITTER eyeshadow on me... um... I'm halfway to 60. I pointed to another color and quietly said this might be more age appropriate, although I then asked if this other color would be good with my skin tone. She said "I guess." I asked if some other colors would be better with my complexion. She said, "Whatever you want." I felt I had been polite about the glitter, so she shouldn't have felt testy? I asked how to apply it. She said, "Just put it on." I asked well I see some people have a darker one in the crease... and she said, "You can if you want." I asked what color might be best for that and got "I don't know, whatever you like." Ok how was this helpful? She found the perfection foundation for me. I love it. I have since purchased it online. Then she said "Is that all?" When I arrived, I had mentioned foundation, blush, lipstick, eye shadow. Did she have the attention span of a worm? She started putting brown pencil eyebrow lines on my black eyebrows. Even I knew that was bad. I got home and showed my best friend who said words I cannot put in this review. But it basically added up to "How does this lady have a job?" I got up and asked the lady at the register if there was someone else who could help me. She became extremely agitated and started practically yelling about how they are not allowed to touch people because of Covid. She was going on and on... so much in a panic that she did not realize I said that I didn't ask for anyone to touch me. I just wanted someone to show me how to apply makeup. "We can't touch you!!!!" I asked for just someone to show me... "You have to go to a makeup place like for a wedding where they will touch you!!!!" Again, she didn't realize I repeated that I didn't ask to be touched. She said "Go to Ulta!" Lady, believe me, I had set aside a lot of money for makeup and someone else got it all. I was tempted to walk by with bags like the lady in Pretty Woman and say "Big Mistake! Big big Mistake!" $$$$$$$$$ I love my new "look" and makeup, I love the folks ELSEWHERE who helped me feel pretty, I love the fact that there is no glitter in sight. This store is weird.

The pedicure was standard, nothing special, but my two big toe nails were cut at an angle. When I asked them about it, they said my toe nails grow crooked like that. I pulled up 10+ pictures of my feet after a fresh pedicure and polish to show them "no, it's just a bad job". They ended up filing them to get them straighter but now they are too short. The bigger issue is the GelX manicure. It looks awful! They look like press on nails! I went in on Saturday because I was leaving town for work on Sunday. There is a big gap between my cuticle and the polish. When I asked, the man said, I told you not to do GelX, that is just the way it is. I'd already been well over 2 hours so I just left. When I got home my husband immediately said, why do your nails look like that!? I just got back from out of town and called them to ask to speak to the manager or owner. The man says - I just work here, I don't know when they will be in. So I ask more questions and again he said- I just work here. I asked to have the manager call me but highly doubt that will happen. Every time I look at my nails, it is infuriating. I wanted fresh nails for an important business trip and I ended up with just the opposite and wasted money and over 2 hours in the process. There are several salons within blocks of this spot, no matter how important "no wait" is in the moment when you call - don't do it. It's not worth the crappy job, dirty environment and slow service. I wish I would have read the reviews first because they definitely align with my service. Now I get to go and pay someone else to fix this!
