He didn't ask what we wanted and brought cheap no name thermostats and insisted he's used them for 15 years and was saving us money. 4 of them have failed miserably and probably cost hundreds in electric usage. One of them can't get the room warmer than 68 degrees, another will be set at 60 degrees and blazes away. I am extremely unhappy with the cheap thermostats. One failed within 2 years and 3 more followed. so ultimately replacing them again will cost even more. Had I left the honeywells they'd still be operating well despite their age.

I had an issue with a ceiling fixture in my home. I'm pretty handy but I knew right away this was…read morebeyond my skills. I used an online home services site to search for an electrician and Chair City Electric was the first company listed and they had a 5-star rating. Good start. Within minutes of submitting my request, Hugo from Chair City called me. I explained the issue and he said he could be at my house within 30 minutes. Within minutes of reviewing the fixture, he knew exactly what was wrong and offered two alternatives to fixing it: one would take less time (if it was feasible) and therefore would be less expensive; the second option was more complicated and although it would cost more, it would likely be more successful. We decided the second option would be best. After a couple of hours of working in the stifling heat of the attic and in the bedroom below, Hugo had the problem fixed. He patched the ceiling as needed and thoroughly cleaned the room. He even vacuumed the floor AND the tarp that was covering the bed. He also used a hardwood floor cleaner to clean any debris from the ceiling that was on the floor. Hugo was personable, courteous, professional, and showed me once again why it's good to call someone who knows what they're doing rather than try to fix it myself. He might not be the cheapest, and definitely not the most expensive, but it is reasonable and he provides fixed-pricing which he sticks to as long as scope doesn't change. He also pulls all necessary permits and has passed all inspections with flying colors. Jon has now completed two projects for us. About 6 months ago, he installed new bathroom fans in 4 bathrooms and he recently installed an Electric Vehicle charger in our garage (along with a 60 AMP breaker to support it). I received a word-of-mouth recommendation from my neighbors who had Jon perform a much larger project which included significant re-wiring of their entire house, as well as a new breaker panel among other items. Another neighbor had Jon install a bathroom fan as well as some other work. They could not say enough good things about him and they were 100% right. I have nothing but praise for his work quality. I am one of those customers that likes to do a lot of research up front before I buy items for my house.
