From the owner: Our Family Medicine practice treats the full spectrum of disease and illness. Whether you just need…read moreto keep your blood pressure under control, have a sprained ankle, or have multiple chronic medical conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol or asthma, we can take care of you today. Together we can come up with a plan that optimizes all that modern medicine has to offer, but is tailored to meet your specific needs and perspectives. Dr. Newby and his friendly staff are eager to help you reach your health care goals. We take most major insurances and are now accepting new patients. Unlike many of today's overcrowded practices we limit the number of patients we schedule for follow ups so that we always have room for same day or next day appointments for those who are ill or have more urgent needs. We hope you will call us today and make an appointment where you will be one of 20 patients seen in a day, not 35.

I've been seeing Dr. Standridge for over 10 years for Buprenorphine/Subutex (opioid dependence)…read moretreatment. He's easy to get along with, entertaining and funny, and from what I hear, is a better Sub doctor than others in our area. He also accepts my insurance (BCBS - P & S plans). I don't usually have to wait a long time to be seen, maybe 10 minutes tops as long as there isn't a new patient in before me. There are usually only one or two other people in the waiting room. I would recommend Dr. Standridge to others in need of Suboxone/Subutex treatment.

Hamilton Family Medicine has been my PCP for over 3 years now. About six months ago, my motor…read moreskills started deteriorating and I lost my ability to work or use a computer without assistance. During this time, HFM has managed most of my FMLA and disability paperwork. My condition worsened and it got harder to walk. I ended up injuring myself and went to my most recent appointment on crutches. For reasons I will never understand, HFM decided to drop the case at this point and stopped returning my phone calls. Without notifying me, they faxed the paperwork my employer completely blank, with a note saying that they couldn't find a medical reason for my disability, and that my employer would have to make do with whatever they had on file already. I found out about this 3 days after the deadline has passed. Fortunately, my caseworker is being patient with me, and she automatically extended the deadline for another seven days. But until I find a real doctor, I'll have no income, no treatment, and no information about my long-term outlook. It's getting harder and harder to do simple tasks, and I don't really know what comes next.

The nurse called me back about10 minutes later and performed the normal procedures, weighing, height, blood oxygen levels, etc... Dr. Wang came in about 5 minutes later. He is a friendly man and wants to hear about your health, history and lifestyle. I never felt rushed and he was easy to talk to. He explained his methods of care, his rating on what you are doing now, and any changes of action that is easy to understand. He said he wanted lab work and it could be performed on site! Wow! No fasting, no going to some lab, no waiting! The whole appointment was just over an hour and I'm done! The next day I received an email with my lab results and what he want to tweak! That was so quick! I am very impressed with the entire practice from the ample parking, and friendly staff, to the attentive nurses and doctors to the painless quick lab facilities. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new Doctor. Truly a medical practice like is should be!

21 minutes ago I just left there after being told that I had…read morebeen discharged back in January due to dispute with a staff member over the phone about my care. The dispute was not with Vicki Cooke my former NP, she had never talked to me about it, she was out of town during this time.... I guess it's common practice now to have no say so about your care. Regardless, you discharged me as a patient, fine, I will go someplace else... My complaint, you sent out a certified letter in January, or you say you did, you wouldn't show me the receipts. I never received any letter, why would I have shown up for an appnt if I had received it. I had an appnt scheduled on 6/14 since my last appnt in December of 2017. I received a call to confirm my appointment, I asked to change the appnt to today's date. Yesterday I received a call to confirm my appointment. I came in for my appnt, I was asked to update paper work and then taken back to a room.... It was then I was finally approached about the letter that was "sent" out in January. Vicki Cooke would not even come and talk to me. I was humiliated and all of this was over a dispute with a very rude staff member about antibiotics for a sinus infection. Today I came in with a black eye and a hurt shoulder from a fall yesterday, I thought I was going to have it looked at. . I guess I need to find a new doctor to take a look at it.... My advice to the staff there, if you discharge someone as a patient make sure your staff and the patient knows about it. And to Vicki Cooke, I suggest you take the time to talk to your patients before you make rash, uninformed decisions. I'm truly baffled at this, all over antibiotics for a sinus infection.
