My son broke his arm in September 2024, and we took him to Wardell Orthopaedics for treatment…read more While the medical care itself was adequate, the billing experience has been frustrating and deeply disappointing. At the front desk, I explained that I wanted to pay in cash and was told the visit would not exceed $250. I paid that amount in full on the spot. Shortly after, I realized I had my insurance card with me and asked if the payment could be reverted so insurance could be used instead. The receptionist assured me that it wouldn't be a problem and processed it accordingly. Fast forward about a month, and I receive a bill in the mailed more than $1,100.00--a shocking amount that's over four times what I was initially quoted. Had I known this would be the outcome, I never would have authorized the insurance switch. The original agreement was a $250 cash payment, which I honored in good faith. This situation feels deceptive. There was no clear explanation of how using insurance could lead to such an inflated charge. It seems that once insurance was involved, the pricing structure changed entirely without my consent or proper disclosure. Patients and parents deserve transparency--especially when dealing with medical emergencies involving children. I strongly urge Wardell Orthopaedics to review their communication and billing policies. This experience has made me question whether I can trust this practice with my family's care in the future.

After being rear-ended on Memorial Day (while on the way to Duck Donuts, might I add), I was told…read moreto come to Harbour Rehab to fulfill my PT requirements. To be honest, I was not even a bit excited to begin going to PT. They have a 6,000 square foot facility INSIDE of the Bon Secours' Harbourview Medical Center. At first, it can be a bit difficult to find. If you park in the main medical parking lot, then head into the main entrance you will see the Wardell Ortho/Harbour Rehab entrance near the sandwich stand. The facility is quite nice, large windows surround the rehabilitating floor overlooking a small lake. They, also, have a television in the waiting area and free WiFi for patients. I've been seeing a Physical Therapist named Ed and a Physical Therapy Tech named Karen. Both of them are absolutely phenomenal to work with, I highly suggest asking for the both of them since they seem to have an abundance of experience/expertise. I have heard nothing but good things from fellow patients and friends of mine about their positive experiences. They have won "Best of the Best" so many times in HR that they have to find creative places to put them!

There was no doubt he cared about us, and his care was very important to him. I pray I never need him, but if I do, I know I'll be in great care. To add, everyone in that practice made us feel welcome and we knew we had the best information and care, even if we weren't sure what to ask, or what to do. They all guided us through it all. Thank you, Dr. Williams, and your wonderful staff there are UofV. I can never repay you. Cola Register

Reviewing a doctors office is a tad weird but here we are! I booked an appointment with Urology of…read moreVA due to getting a kidney stones. The location is located in a new designed building in the heart of Suffolk. They are located on the second floor. Prior to arriving, I was sent text messages about checking in. I was able to upload my ID and insurance cards and fill out any important information from my phone at least 2 days prior to my appointment. When I arrived there was a about 5 people ahead of me and the line was out the door. Whereas that would normally be a nightmare, it was actually because of social distancing guidelines-- which we love! Everyone is required to wear a mask. The wait was perfect. (Granted, I thought my appointment was at 10:15 not 10:50-totally my fault, so I was inside longer). I was in and out of my appointment in 30 mins. 1000000/10 recommend if you are having any urology issues.
