I am a distance runner and had been experiencing extreme neck pain and also pain in my knee. I had visited an orthopedic doctor and also took long breaks from my running, neither resulted in any improvement. I am new to the area (Norfolk) and was in desperate need of a Chiropractor. I of course looked at Yelp first and saw that this was really close to where we live and I called them to make an appointment (hoping to get same day, and I did!!). The lady I spoke with was very helpful and nice. I told her that I had been under Chiropractic care for about 18 years and I needed an adjustment. I knew I didn't need a whole work up done (full examine and all) and I was happy that the Dr did not do one on me. He talked to me and checked me out for about 5 minutes and immediately adjusted me. I left there feeling 100 times better! The staff - Oh my, the staff are amazing! So kind and personable. Trisha came to greet me and take me back to the room (take vitals etc) and she was interactive with me. After I saw the Dr he led me to their "massage" rolley table thing (part of your experience there). I laid down on the table and she set the roller to "massage" me and help set my adjustment. What a treat!! After that i was led to a private room where I made my payment and was greeted by a very nice lady there as well. The waiting area had a "kiddie" corner to include a chalk board wall! They cater to kids as well and I was pleased to see how "kid friendly" they are. My 10 yr old boys would have been pleased to wait for me in that area. Overall - A great experience and while I am only in the area a short while, I went ahead and booked my next 4 appointments, even for one of my kids!! Because we are military, they waived the initial consultation fee and I was not displeased with the price at all. read more

I have had a years-long battle with major neck pain that was affecting my daily life. Never tried Chiropractic until about a year ago, because I'd tried everything else to no avail. Within just a few treatments, the pain began to rapidly decrease, and now I am living largely pain-free for the first time in years. Both Docs are amazing, and are super-intuitive about what is going on in your body and somehow know just where the problems are occurring. Highly recommend coming here if you're in need of Chiropractic care! I pinched a nerve in my lower back from deadlifing and I couldn't do anything! Bending over was a pain, sitting down was a pain, walking was painful. I was here in Norfolk visiting at that preparing to leave via military and they patched me up to the point I've gained about 85% mobility back and can self rehabilitate myself through yoga and stretches at this point. They take care of their military members as well, very good prices since our insurance doesn't cover chiropractic care for some unruly reason. I am have been going to wards corner Chiropractic for over a year now and although the office is nice and the staff is kind. I had a few problems with their business practices. My initial visit they took X-rays and sat down with me and my husband and told me that I would need a few thousand dollars worth of work(adjustments) on my back over a 1 year period. I felt like I was being sold lies for the purpose of money!! I decided against their recommendations and decided to pay per visit. Which ended up(with a military discount) $40 per adjustment. I could only afford to go 3x a month. After a year of being a loyal costumer, I was told by my chiropractor that I needed to loose weight!! And yes I struggle with my weight. But I felt put on the spot and humiliated!! as I am trying my best to become healthy with the help of my doctor!! It's none of his dam business what I'm doing to loose the weight!! and it goes without saying that it would help my back!! but fat shaming really?!?! Shame on your office for allowing this!! I want to thank WCC for the work they have done with me on improving my overall health. My initial visit to WCC was one filled with skepticism. My wife had received health care from a Chiropractor on different occasions for over 10 years. Each time she had success in achieving her goal of improving on her health issues. I was very skeptical because I have numerous issues with arthritis in my joints, some more severe than others. I have been under the care of different orthopedic doctors for numerous years and always felt that they somehow were "better" than chiropractors. I was so misinformed it is frightening. Since coming to WCC I have seen tremendous improvement in my overall health. First, I had an issue with my left shoulder that I had suffered through for several years. My range of motion (ROM) in that shoulder was severely limited and I could not lift my arm above the shoulder. I had gone to several sessions with physical therapy for my shoulder but could never get it to feel better or improve the ROM. Since coming to WCC the pain is totally gone and my ROM is improved greatly. I can now move my arm well above my shoulder. I also have a greater ROM in my neck which has improved too. Who would have known! Secondly, I had pain in my lower joints and problems walking. The pain is far less frequent now and my walking has improved tremendously. After getting the realignment from WCC I can say without any doubts that my gait is improved and I feel better walking with less pain in the joints. I highly recommend WCC if you are in need of a chiropractor. My family and I have been coming since August, and it has helped us all a lot - we are on the family plan. My husband had a sciatica nerve problem and for several days, he was on muscle relaxers and always seemed doped up and tired all the time and could hardly walk. He had no energy to do anything.
