The front office is poorly run by a few indifferent receptionists who have made me feel that I'm bothering them by coming in as a patient. It isn't just me, I've seen them act this way with others, including those who seem disabled. There's no "hello", no "can I help you?" Nothing. You simply stand there feeling like an idiot until you speak up to get attention during check ins. Then when it's time to check out, you are told to sit in a chair and wait for them to get to you. No one else was waiting - I was the only one in the sitting area. After ten minutes, I said I can't wait any longer and none of these women at the desk cared. So I left. I feel bad to leave my therapist and plan to call her to let her know why I'm leaving. She needs to know the indifferent manner of those at the front desk who are representing her practice.

The PT staff at Bon Secours quickly discovered my symptoms were more than "aggravated" and that no amount of physical therapy would return muscle function (caused by muscle wasting). This observation was after multiple chiropractic sessions with a 5 star well known VA Chiropractor. It is now 6 months after a 5 hour surgery and I am slowly getting some strength and coordination back. While there is no guarantee I will reverse the lost muscle I am returning to the experts for some guidance to gain strength in my bicep and shoulder. Always get at least 2 to 3 different opinions from more than one health professional. The PTs at Bon Secours know their trade.

I've been in physical therapy with other companies for over 6 years now, and this was the first place to actually recognize what exactly is causing my pain. I primarily worked with Krysia and Catherine. Catherine taught me so much about the importance of the mind to muscle connection. You don't have to exhaust yourself with tiresome workouts- she showed me exactly how to engage the exact muscles I needed to. This made it easier, thus leading me to practice constantly. I find myself doing it when I'm just sitting in traffic or laying in bed. You don't have to get sweaty to perform physical therapy! I could physically see a difference in my posture and mobility. Krysia helped identify the root of my pain and validate exactly how much pain I've been in. She was able to bring so much relief to my body. Literally from head to toe. For years, I was convinced that I would just constantly be in pain, but she brought faith back into my life. I fully believe now that I can be strong and live a less painful life. I've also seen some of the other practitioners in there, and they have always made me feel so welcomed while providing just as high of quality work. Including Maureen at the front, who helped me on many occasions with getting appointments that helped suit my hectic schedule. Also they have a great virtual app for communicating with your provider and tracking appointments. I love this company. These women are all so educated. I had navy doctors tell me I was fine for years. Now I know that I wasn't fine, and thanks to this team I'm finally able to get the help I deserved all along. This company helped give me my life back. 10000% recommend!!

I'd like to start by saying that while I haven't visited the physical building, I was referred here…read moreby my doctor to work with a dietitian to help me lose weight and improve my health. This isn't something I ever would have considered earlier in my life--not for any particular reason, I just wouldn't have done it. However, for the past four months, I have been working with Dennis Bueso, MA, RD (Clinical/Sports Dietitian), and the experience has been nothing like I expected. Being very overweight, I anticipated someone taking charge of the conversation and lecturing me on what I 'better' start doing. I think TV gave me a twisted idea of how these things go. Thankfully, it hasn't been like that at all. Our conversations are excellent and open. Mr. Bueso is incredibly 'chill' and immediately sets you at ease; it feels like a normal, back-and-forth conversation between two people. He is great at following up and is just a genuinely easy person to talk to. Since starting, I've seen amazing results. For those who know what A1C is, mine had been double what it should be for over five years. In just four months, I've brought it down to exactly where it's supposed to be. I give myself credit for controlling my diet, but Dennis has been instrumental in helping me understand what to watch and work on. In addition to the blood work, I've lost over 30 pounds in that same timeframe. I definitely want to give props and thanks to Mr. Bueso. If your doctor has recommended a dietitian, just do it. I worried about how it would go, but those worries were unnecessary. It has been a great experience. We only get one shot at life; I may have started this battle late, but I'm determined to battle to the end. Thank you if you read all my ramblings. :) Thank you again Dennis. Tim

They also give you exercises that you can do at home. I went for the dry needling, but found out my insurance doesn't cover it, but you have the option to pay out of pocket. The room is wide open so it will be several other patients getting worked on at the same time. They do have some private rooms. You're given several exercises to build your strength back up in whatever area you have issues with, and they also incorporate some massage, and heating pads into your treatment. It's about an hour visit, and you're in and out. Wear something comfy. I have used them in the past as well and think its a nice office to use for your therapeutic needs. Check them out!!

Brian at DPPT quickly realized that it was my QL giving me issues and over the course of a couple months he helped to alleviate all the pain and tightness I was experiencing in my lower back. I'm currently working with Brian twice a week and I find the range of motion in my shoulder increasing at a rapid pace. Thank you Direct Performance!

Brian Maher came highly recommended and I started therapy a couple weeks after surgery. In the course of a couple months, I went from non-weight bearing to being able to do just about anything! As excited as I was to be finished with therapy, I really appreciated the one on one, custom treatments I received! I had never broken a bone before, but Brian was so helpful in curing all of my doubts and encouraging me to take each step. He was great about knowing my limits, but pushing me enough to try my hardest. Although I only worked with Brian, everyone else there was very friendly and professional! The facility was also very clean and organized! With the practice being located inside of Onelife, it was very convenient to get in and out in a timely manner! I would highly recommend Brian and Direct Performance to anyone in need of a little or a lot of physical therapy!
