At the front desk, I explained that I wanted to pay in cash and was told the visit would not exceed $250. I paid that amount in full on the spot. Shortly after, I realized I had my insurance card with me and asked if the payment could be reverted so insurance could be used instead. The receptionist assured me that it wouldn't be a problem and processed it accordingly. Fast forward about a month, and I receive a bill in the mailed more than $1,100.00--a shocking amount that's over four times what I was initially quoted. Had I known this would be the outcome, I never would have authorized the insurance switch. The original agreement was a $250 cash payment, which I honored in good faith. This situation feels deceptive. There was no clear explanation of how using insurance could lead to such an inflated charge. It seems that once insurance was involved, the pricing structure changed entirely without my consent or proper disclosure. Patients and parents deserve transparency--especially when dealing with medical emergencies involving children. I strongly urge Wardell Orthopaedics to review their communication and billing policies. This experience has made me question whether I can trust this practice with my family's care in the future.

To be honest, I was not even a bit excited to begin going to PT. They have a 6,000 square foot facility INSIDE of the Bon Secours' Harbourview Medical Center. At first, it can be a bit difficult to find. If you park in the main medical parking lot, then head into the main entrance you will see the Wardell Ortho/Harbour Rehab entrance near the sandwich stand. The facility is quite nice, large windows surround the rehabilitating floor overlooking a small lake. They, also, have a television in the waiting area and free WiFi for patients. I've been seeing a Physical Therapist named Ed and a Physical Therapy Tech named Karen. Both of them are absolutely phenomenal to work with, I highly suggest asking for the both of them since they seem to have an abundance of experience/expertise. I have heard nothing but good things from fellow patients and friends of mine about their positive experiences. They have won "Best of the Best" so many times in HR that they have to find creative places to put them!

When I was 7 years old I had an onset of trouble breathing and was transferred to 2 hospitals resulting in an emergency surgery where a healthy part of my digestive tract was removed and a half of a supposed bruised part. I held immense emotional, mental, and causal pain this area for years. I'm 29 now and have had relief through Heather using her hands to 'dig' into this pain located on and around the hip area. I have tried methods in the past to be released of this awful 'trauma' and Heather began to released it within moments. Heather did more of this on the next visit which resulted in even more trauma release. I'm so happy to have a 'holistic' sensation back in my body that I haven't had in so long. There is so much more that has done for me with my awareness and also emotionally as well. This has supported me alongside my vestibular PT resulting in better balance, stability, lighter legs, and less tightness in the body of years of built up stress. Somehow I didn't even recognise all the pain in my hips because the pain in my lower back was so intense. This has also brought more relief to my lower back pain. I've also had inflammation reduced that I've had on my groin since at least age 12 through the pelvic floor manipulations. Heather has released so much pain and tightness within the pelvic floor through manipulations it's truly a wonderful feeling. How amazing it is to have some sense of the body being young again before stress and other unwanted energy was involved. Things are only getting better a step and sometimes big steps each day. I'm very grateful Heather is doing what she is doing I only wish I had been here when I was first having pains at least age 13 and even more care after my surgery at age 7 because there is so much going on with that too, so again what a great release I've had of anguish since Heather began 'digging into my hips' as well. Really wonderful pelvic floor therapy is available and people deserve this relief and better feeling over the pain we have become accustomed to. The staff, Liz & Mel are also very welcoming and accommodating, 5 out of 5. The PT assistants are very kind also. Wonderful WorldWide Educator President Kelsey Brown

My therapist, K Gunjan (aka Mr. G) worked with me to teach me daily exercises that would alleviate my pain. I was unsure at first, but over 4 weeks, I was able to do daily living things including travel without ANY pain. Mr. G is truly a magician and will teach you alot about your back structure and the correct exercises to do daily. He was very professional and patient. This is a great practice for any of your physical issues; especially your back. Ask for Mr. G. You will not be disappointed.

Most of tge paperwork was done by touch on an iPad really cool. The answers were sent to the therapist electronically so by the time we went back, they "knew our case." Roland, our Physical Therapist, is amazing. He is kind and compassionate. Roland took the time to talk to us and tell us what the plan for therapy would be. The office looks smaller from the outside than it is. When you walk into the therapy room, it is airy and full of light. Calming color scheme. The exercise machines are modern and well-kept. The PTs are always cleaning and wiping machines to maintain a sanitary environment. The progress has been great. We are looking forward to reaching the set goals. We are confident that this is the right setting for treatment. We highly recommend using this location. Ask for Roland.

I was able to upload my ID and insurance cards and fill out any important information from my phone at least 2 days prior to my appointment. When I arrived there was a about 5 people ahead of me and the line was out the door. Whereas that would normally be a nightmare, it was actually because of social distancing guidelines-- which we love! Everyone is required to wear a mask. The wait was perfect. (Granted, I thought my appointment was at 10:15 not 10:50-totally my fault, so I was inside longer). I was in and out of my appointment in 30 mins. 1000000/10 recommend if you are having any urology issues.
