Without my AC unit working - I needed a prompt repair (NOT an emergency repair) for tenants renting my condo. I didn't expect a charge of almost $600.00 on a name brand 4 year old unit. I feel I was taken advantage of! They were polite and responsive and got my ac working. However - based on trusted information from another out of town HVAC repair person who was in my condo the week prior to my AC going down, it seems clear to me that I was overcharged and taken advantage of! I was never told payment would need to be made remotely while I was in California. I told the repair guy I would mail a check upon an emailed receipt when I returned home. The problem was a bad capacitor. I was overcharged for the part,... then charged an additional $280.00 to add refrigerant that the technician "questionably" claimed I needed. I have since mailed the a check for full payment, along with their business card that I not need in the future.

What really made our interaction notable is the fact that Brian's technical expertise was matched by the depth of his generosity of time and kindness. One time "John" answered and I told him I was interested in an HVAC maintenance and service contract. He rattled off some numbers and promised to email them to me that night. Never got anything. I then called that number over and over, leaving messages that again were never returned. Finally, a woman answered and explained that she was in a front office and could give me no info (??) about service contracts, but she said if I called 800-921-0392 an answering service would take a message and forward to someone who would call back. She also promised me that John would send me the promised info that day. Not. So I called the 800 number and left a message for someone to please call me. Nothing. I give up. Too many other HVAC companies that care. I wonder how if they respond to customers needing emergency service.
