We just stumbled into this place while driving from Tampa to Miami. It is just a short drive off of I-75. To start, parking is difficult -- even when the place is not busy. The shopping center where this place is located is a navigational nightmare. We had to park about a block from the restaurant, and then had trouble figuring out how to get out when we were done. The restaurant itself is nice, and the food is tasty. I would say that the prices are quite high. Most of the dinners were in the $15 range, which is a lot for Mexican. Also, our server seemed rather indifferent and disappeared for long periods of time. All in all, with the high prices and OK service -- and the frustrating of getting there and parking -- I would probably skip it the next time we are in town. read more

Living in New Mexico, I've gone to several restaurants similar to this one. Starts you off with unlimited chips and salsa of course, and I was pleasantly surprised by the heat they had to offer. They bring both hot and mild to the table, and the mild is basically just a pico de gallo. Good flavor. I ordered the chimichanga and after delicious utterly perfect ones in my life, it was just alright. I enjoyed it, but for almost $15 it was a pretty big rip (especially considering I've had them three times tastier for half the cost)! I guess I just have to keep on keeping in mind that this IS a Naples based restaurant. One thing I give mad props to here is their Queso. Pleeeease, if you like cheese dip, shell out for this magnificence! It's white (chihuahua) cheese, has a tiny little kick to it, but the most perfect creamy cheesy texture. I honestly put it in my top five of all cheese dips ever, and that's hard to do. Throw a smidge of hot salsa on that chip with cheese and you're golden. The service was pretty terrible for the first half of the meal. Water refills? Nope. Not for nearly 15 min. We kept having to ask for more salsa from random people we sought out, for our waiter was not in sight. At the end of the meal the gratuity had already been added and we were only a party of four. Being a great tipper myself, I wasn't unhappy about paying the percentage of course, but I do feel like it may have contributed to the kind of slack-ish service. If you already know what you're getting from the table ahead of time, you tend to try less. Their jalapeños were HOT. We ate some raw on top of our entrees and I literally cried. I guess they say they sprinkle lime and salt on top and it gives them a bigger kick. Not sure about this myself, but whatever it was, it definitely did burn. I would go back again for that cheese dip; but I feel like I'd rather just order a beer and cheese dip and munch my life away... Just wasn't that impressed with the entrees. This was once a preferred place to go to locally for Mexican food until recently. The location is never too busy and has generally been clean by looking around where customers can visibly see. Unfortunately whatever happens behind doors in the kitchen is of great concern. I was eating my dinner there recently, when after taking a bite I thought I bit into a bone or something. Upon removing it from my mouth I found it to be a wire twist tie (the same type of wire twist tie you would find from a loaf of bread). If I ingested it I'm sure I would have had severe intestinal injury. We tried to get our waiters attention and he was nowhere to be found. Finally he came over and we explained and showed him what had happened. He didn't know what to say or do, so he said he would get his manager. Again we waited and no manager. The waiter came back and he asked if the manager came over and we said NO. He then took my plate with the twist tie on it to show the kitchen staff in the back. Finally the manager came over and we explained to him again what happened. He ("sort of") offered an apology, but rather said (and I quote) "this sort of thing happens all the time". He didn't say it once either- he said it repeatedly. We were like ..... What????? They took my meal off the bill, and the other 2 guest that were with me they made them pay. Even after they told them they lost their appetite from seeing what happened - they still made them pay. We will NEVER ever go back here. WARNING- eat elsewhere. read more

It is such a shame what businesses do to falsely lure customers. Get this: bought a certificate from Restaurants.com (we like to patron local businesses whenever possible). Hubby and I go out for date night here...lucky for us they tell us at the door- big celebration for National Margarita Day...$1 margaritas! So hubby and I are game and order one each. At the end of the meal we present our certificate and shockingly it was not accepted because we got the "other special!" Honestly, the food was very bland and small portioned we probably wouldn't have ever come back, but now we ABSOLUTELY will never come back. All over $2 margaritas. Had a great fresh flavor & totally could tell they know how to pour a great drink. #25 Pork Carnitas were very tender & flavorful. Mild salsa had a great balance of flavors w/ meaty tomato chunks. Will NEVER go back!!!! Manager Sebastian was cocky when we asked to speak to him about the cold food, dirty dinnerware and inaccuracy of our order!!!!! He 100% didn't care and never apologized. Rather, in a very disrespectful and condescending manner said "I love reading reviews on Yelp!" In addition, they have the nerve to charge for a 2nd basket of chips, when the first basket we were served was full of broken, crumbled pieces!!!! The food was good, Luis' service was enthusiastic. Sonya (Sonja?), the daughter of the owner, was (and probably still is) a rude, horrible, nasty person who has no right speakin with guests. As our party was closing our conversion, having already paid the check and tipped Luis, this vile, selfish, horrible, inconsiderate excuse for a real employee asked us to remember that the restaurant closed already. This vile person, Sonya, is apparently the daughter of the owner. In my experience, people like this have no experience, knowledge, training or even a resemblance of any kind of ability, and paying guests should be protected from any kind of interaction with them. (I'm looking to you, daddy!) When this exceeding rude "lady" invited us to leave, we each had at least 1/2 a drink and some food in front of is THAT THEY HAD RECENTLY SERVED US. The food is good. The service is good. If you have the unfortunate opportunity to speak with one of the owners, remember that in your tip, is my advice. These people, apparently, suck. Went with the folks here only to experience a boring, tasteless Mexican meal...so I was pretty disappointed. But that's food wise because they do deserve a few points for the yummy house gold margaritas! Even if the waiter felt he should explain to me how good Patron Gold is, in a margarita....ah if he'd only known about my liquor cabinet and overworked liver. Back to the food... Ordered the Queso Fundido which is a blend of mozzarella and other cheeses...(cough, cough) excuse me, did you type Mozzerella? At a Mexican restaurant? The classic Italian fav?! Why yes I did! And it was runny and similar to a cheese whiz flavor with a few green chillies sprinkled in...boring! And tough to put on tortilla chips without making a drippy mess. Bummer :( Then came my entree of a chalupa and an enchilada. Now I kick myself for not taking a pic of this embarrassingly large fried flour tortilla which in no way resembled a traditional chalupa. This 10" (yes! 10"!) fried tortilla came folded like a Venus fly trap filled with tasteless shredded chicken, lettuce and cheese inside and somewhere under it all was buried the gem of a tasty cheese enchilada. The chalupa was impossible to eat and not even worth trying. I'm guessing they thought the shock factor of the presentation would blind people to the lack of flavor. Desert was a sopapilla which arrived with apologies for no chocolate sauce. That's actually not what the waiter should have been apologizing for...try explaining why the sopapilla was flat and not puffy with air which is what elevates a tortilla to a new level. When the waiter saw my moms bewildered face, he explained that a sopapilla was just a tortilla. Funny part is that my mom is Mexican and didn't have the heart to tell him how wrong he was on so many levels. Bless his uninformed clueless soul! Service was good though, gotta give them that but the kitchen needs a few real Mexicans back there cause the food falls way short. Not going back. I'll make my own margaritas. read more

It's not worth the $7.75. But if you do choose to stop by senor tequila, do get the skinny margaritas. They are better. (If you want Jose Cuervo margarita mix go to any liquor store) Also, this is my second time at senor tequila and I haven't been wowed by the food or experience. In my opinion, it's hard to find good enchiladas because many places make them with flour tortillas and American cheese and I prefer Texmex style enchiladas and this place doesn't disappoint. This place seems very large. They had plenty of staff to help get us in and out. I had the vegetarian burrito (hmm) and it was very good. Sure - Mexican food isn't that difficult to get right, but most place seem to get it wrong. Biggest complaint is they seem to use store-bought chips for the chips & salsa offering. Delicious food and fun, authentic atmosphere. My fiance and I popped in around 5:00 on Mother's Day, without reservations. It was pretty dead, so we were seated immediately, and not ten seconds later were served up a yummy batch of chips and salsa. (It would have been nice to know that one of the salsas was spicy, but I survived.) We ordered the fajitas for two--chicken and steak. It was about $30, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it yields enough food for 4 to 6 people. The skillet stretched half the length of the table! Neither of us touched our sides of beans and rice (which were just as ample)--we packed them into a large to go container, and the HALF remaining meat mixture into another. (They wouldn't fit together.) Although we shouldn't have, we ordered dessert. I had the flan, he had the sopapilla. Both were great. Afterwards, they rolled us out the door. (Just kidding ... We rolled ourselves.) We liked the traditional Mexican decor a lot. I was especially impressed by the painted bricks that lined every wall. They look amazingly real! Also, the place is pretty big--I'd say you could easy fit 50-100 people there comfortably. My only real complaints are the lack of attention from the waiter (who was super nice when he DID make it to our table), and the time it took to get our food, drink refills, dessert, etc. I hope this experience was a fluke because they can't blame it on being crowded. Also, the parking is horrendous. There are 5 lonely spots near the entrance. If you're not fortunate enough to nab one of those, you're parking in the general lot and walking a few hundred feet. (Not a cool deal for Granny.) We'll definitely be giving it a second shot, though--hopefully with a group of friends next time. Seems like this could be a cool party spot on weekends ... Bartenders name was Danny. Took them a while to notice I was actually sitting at the bar with company when there was no one there. Service was fair, I think what annoyed me the most was that the bartender didn't not give back any $1 bills with my change which I thought was kinda inconsiderate. Wouldn't ever come here again, this isn't my first problem with this place. They over charged me the last time I was there with a girl friend, had 2 margaritas a piece with a floater and 2 shots and they had charged us $70 on my card which made no sense to me. I went in on a Sunday Afternoon and it was very quiet, maybe 7 tables were filled. I order a Chimichanga with no toppings or sides of beans....the manager was taking my order and said I can't do that..lol...he looked confused. I said i just want the Chimichanga plain...just roll it, fry it and drop it on a plate. He gave me a weird look, wrote it down and left. It took a while for it to arrive and it was covered in lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, etc. He just slid the plate in front of me and walked away. Thank God I am not allergic to anything so i just scraped it all off onto a separate plate and ate it. This is the second time i came to this place and they can't seem to grasp my order although very simple and easier for the cook. I kept my mouth shut because I will never return anything to a kitchen to get re-cooked or "Fixed". I have worked in many restaurants when I was a Teenager and I see what goes on if you get the cook mad. The cook would have just ran a rag over it or washed it off and re-heated it anyway. Oh well...It was good even though it wasn't the way i ordered it. The Manager wasn't the most pleasant guy that day, Maybe he was having a bad day but he should always remember that customers are he ones who put money in his pocket and he should always make sure he gives them quality service. He represents not only himself but Señor Tequila's also. There are better places then this but it is close to my apartment. I will still go elsewhere next time. read more

I was in Naples for a vacation and wanted Mexican food. Let me just say everything about this place was wonderful. They had Amazing service, every employee was super nice and friendly. They had live music that was played very well. Now onto the important thing, the food! Everything was very good and the menu had various options for everyone, including picky kids. Wow.. I'm at an absolute loss for words. The experience we had here was so bad, we will never come back. My party of four was greeted by the hostess and she asked if we'd like inside or outside, we said outside please. Once we were seated we realized our table may be a little small (we love ordering lots of appetizers and drinks) so we asked if we could push another table into ours since the outside patio was pretty much empty. She said no, but we could move to a bigger table. We said it was ok and we'd just stay where we are. She then asked if we were ready to order and we said we'd like about her minute to decide which kind of margaritas we wanted. That was the last time we saw our server. Someone dropped off chips and salsa and we waited well over 15minutes for our server to come back, but it was clear she wasn't coming so we got drinks from the bar and we loudly heard her yell "I'm not taking that table anymore!" We sat back down and waited for service, and then I went inside after another 10 minutes of being ignored and the manager said "if you want service you need to sit inside." I asked him why? And why the hostess sat us outside if we weren't going to get service.. and he was INSANELY rude to me. Mind you I'm 8 months pregnant. I've never experienced a manager act the way this one did, it was very unprofessional to say the least.
