Mostly standard Ark-Mex. Traditional stuff does not get the motor running for me. However, you've really got to know what to order. Here, I'd recommend the Ranchero Special. It's grilled chicken and shrimp over a bed of rice, grilled onions, tomatoes and peppers. Gliding over all is a generous helping of queso. Served with flour tortillas and a prayer for your LDL cholesterol count. I ordered the shredded chicken nachos (not my first time ordering this, this is my usual), when i say this was the worst plate ive ever had. The chips were soaked in the liquid, the entire plate was watery. There was like no cheese and all wet chicken and chips. Our server was not very nice and we felt rushed to order our food/drinks. The man at the door was nice but the moment we we're seated where we had only seen another set of African American people vs the other side of all white people was a bit upsetting. I used to frequent this restaurant regularly because the food is good and the location is convenient, but after yesterday, I won't be back. The service was terrible and the server is a thief. Not only was his service poor and he overcharged for my lunch special, he added and additional $5.00 as a tip after I signed my receipt and left. If I knew his name, I would call him out, but unfortunately he didn't offer that as he greeted our table. If you decide to dine here, beware! Check your receipt because they WILL overcharge you and possibly even help themselves to a larger tip if you pay with a card. read more

It's a go-to in our household. Confident and friendly staff. Fast service and fast good quality food.

We ordered take out. We ordered 4 ala carte t hard tacos, chicken chino dinner, number 11, large cheese dip, side of guacamole, kids chicken tenders, and requested extra salsa and chips which we didn't get. I got home and was extremely disappointed. Our tacos were so soggy that they literally fell apart. Didn't even get to eat them. The cheese dip was $10 for a large. Well the large we received was like a cup. My child's chicken tenders were not only burnt and so dry he was choking it down, they weren't chicken tenders. They were coated fajita chicken strips deep fried to a dark brown and dried out. My husband called and they would not do anything to fix it whatsoever. We spent $50 for the worst food. Never again will we go back. This isn't the first time we have gone there but we have noticed they have gone down hill every time we went in the past. read more

I guess I'm spoiled being from Texas. This place has the appearance of a mom and pop shop, which is usually a good choice. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is that the service was good. I ordered the camarones a la diabla. I should have known that it was gonna be bad when it was out in under five minutes. The shrimp were pre cooked and still cool in the middle. The "diablo" sauce was ketchup with red pepper flakes. When you read the description of the meal, it makes your mouth water... but the finished product is very sub par. I will not be back. read more

We tried Señor Tequila as an out-of-the box option, since we don't normally dine there (I'd been there once previously). The good: We were seated immediately, and our order was taken quickly. Free chips (good) and salsa (also good) were on the table right after we sat down. We received our meal just minutes after ordering. The bad: The food was expensive, especially for the type of food. With the prices we were expecting a little higher quality. I ordered the Shrimp Enchiladas and, while they were put together well with a generous amount of shrimp, the food was lukewarm, at best, even after they were delivered just minutes after ordering. My wife ordered fajitas and her meal was equally as lukewarm. The waiter warned us that the plates were hot and to be careful but I had to move mine to get it in front of me and there was barely any heat coming off of it. The shredded cheese that was sprinkled on top was not melted at all indicating how cool the temperature was. Normally, when a customer orders fajitas, they are delivered sizzling hot, but my wife's plate was barely warm to the touch with no sizzle. I don't know if we received someone else's meals (barely) reheated, or if the kitchen felt a need to get the meals to us so fast that they skimped on heating the food. This is the second time this has happened to me at this same restaurant. The waiter only made occasional passes by the table. Bottom line: for the prices of food at Señor Tequila we will not return for a third try. Maybe we hit it at a bad time (only about 20% of the tables were seated in the room we were in) but for some reason the kitchen couldn't get the meals at a delectable temperature. read more

UPDATE: Okay, I went here just the other night and I am changing my review. Tthe food was HORRIBLE. I mean it was nasty. I had the #9 Combination and they all tasted the same. In my below review I said I always ordered the Pollo Asada. Well, I WILL NEVER CHANGE that order again. But the taste and texture of my last meal was enough for me to warrant this update. The service was outstanding and the singer they had was a nice change. The dill-weed who got up there and sang some Willie Nelson song needed to go. However, he was a tad bit taller than WIllie. Not much but he was. I have come here many many many times. The service has always been wonderful and the food is always above average, for a place that orders from sysco, I am sure. I think they all do. Anyway, it is very cheap and the drinks are strong. As a clock has 60 seconds, I order the Pollo Asada everytime. There is no need to bring me a menu. It is there best dish by far. My friends always order something new each time but when you tried just about everything on the menu and your favorite is this dish then why order anything else.. Try it.. you will love it. I just cant seem to give this place a higher rating beacue if you were to compare their menu w/ other Mexican restaurants, it looks like they stole eachothers menus. I went in to order food. I placed my order and they brought my food to me. I Probably should have checked it but I had faith that they had it all in there. When I got home I was missing my chicken nachos so I called them and told them that I would be back to get it. The man that answered the phone kept mumbling something I don't know if he thought I said that I left my food at the restaurant and coming to get it. I said " No I did not get my food that ordered and paid for" He mumbled something again and I said again that I want my food I paid for. He said alright bye( rudely). Bomb top shelf margaritas and the food is really good too. I have traveled alot and no where in my travels have I found margaritas as good as the ones here. Every time I'm in Arkansas this place is a must. Really wish I still lived here just to get to have the top shelf margaritas. I've been to Senor Tequila on several occasions and never have I had such terrible service. This Maumelle location was the actual worst and I DO NOT recommend it to anyone. Our waiter was very rude, the food was not good, and the drinks were not up to par. I don't complain often, but I never had such awful service and food. I had to ask our waiter 4 times for a water, condiments, and even the check.. every time he would ignore what I was saying and go talk to another coworker, like it was no big deal. When he noticed that I saw he was ignoring our table, he walked to the back and didn't return for a long time. It should not take 10 minutes or longer to get service. I advise that the owners and management reevaluate their employees and the way they approach their customers. I will not be disrespected and I will NOT be back to this location. read more

This is a spot that I visit often but the service here recently has not been the best. Today I called in my order, went to pick it up, only to discover when I got home, it was incorrect. I called back and addressed the issue with the young man who frequently answers the phone but he seemed to be blowing me off so I asked for a manager. He told me that the manager wouldn't be in til 5:30....not knowing that I know who the manager is and that he just handed me my food when I picked it up! So after I told him that I know the manager is there, he hung up in my face. I went back to the restaurant to address the issue and he said he hung up in my face because he was "busy" but when I walked in, he was standing with another guy talking. After I addressed his rudeness for hanging up in my face n asked for my money back, the manager mysteriously appears from the back. The manager was a little rude and unprofessional also. Not one time did anyone apologize for the inconvenience, it was pretty much like I was in the wrong, even though they fixed my order wrong and his employee hung up in my face! They are very rude and unprofessional....I will never spend one cent of my lil coins there again. Late this afternoon my husband and I went to Senior Tequila on Maumelle Blvd. When it came time to pay for our meal my husband gave the waiter his credit card. He returned to let us know that the card was declined twice. We were shocked because this has NEVER happened to us. I gave the waiter my credit card with the same number, it processed promptly. While the waiter was gone to process my card I checked my credit card app. Senior Tequila had processed our card three times for a meal that only cost $23. I asked that either the waiter or the supervisor (Miguel) sign the receipt just to acknowledge they are aware there was a problem. When the supervisor came over he was VERY condescending and argued about signing the receipt himself. He didn't even acknowledge they had made a mistake and take the time to look at my app. He began to walk away and said, "Next time bring a card with money on it." How dare he treat a customer like this!!! His disrespect was totally uncalled for! Not proud of it but it was then that I called him a jackass! Needless to say, I will be declining any additional charges to our credit card! And we will NEVER go back to this restaurant! Customers beware! read more
