I just wanted to take the time to recognize the staff at Thrive of Lisle, as they took great care of me. Shoutouts to CNA's Alan & Harrison; nurses Shirley, Mark and Gina. They are the best! Kellie from activities, Jerome and Sue are always roving the halls and engaging with residents. The positivity and enthusiasm of the staff is truly contagious, and made this long recovery journey easier for me. Therapists Susan, Ed, Keyenna and Tiffany have been helping me work towards my goal to be able to walk again and use my left arm. I love Thrive of Lisle, and the staff here. 2023 was easily the darkest time of my life. I nearly lost my life, and was not sure if I'd ever walk again, or be able to return to the career that I love. The staff at Thrive treated me like family. I can't tell you how much happiness and hope that CNA Alan, Nurse Shirley & Kellie brought into my life during this time. They are truly special people. I still come back to thrive and visit at least 4 times a year. It's rewarding for me to visit the current patients during activities time, as well as spreading positivity and encouragement. I also love seeing my extended family (the Thrive staff). My advice & words of wisdom for incoming patients and their families: * Advocate for yourself as the patient; if you're a relative; please advocate for your loved one. * Treat the staff with love & respect (I promise it'll come back to you ten-fold, and will be a much better experience for you & the staff this way.) * You might be shy at first, but take full advantage of the activities that Kellie puts together! From craft-making to group games; it's a fun time for everyone! (Even the patient's visitors are encouraged to participate). * It doesn't matter if you're bedridden, the staff will make sure to get you out to socialize, shower, or PT. You just need to communicate your needs to them early enough in the day. * Family: PLEASE don't underestimate the power of your visits. Frequent visits will greatly help your loved one as they strive to recover. I had at least 2 family members taking turns visiting me throughout each day. *Keep in mind, you ARE allowed to sit in on your loved one's physical therapy sessions. - Just ask the therapist as a courtesy* * Stay positive & Keep on thriving! The therapy was to target both upper and lower body and I felt it was a great benefit for me. Therapist took time to answer my questions on how or why the different excersises were a benefit. I had Murium and Traci. Nurses and CNAs were all pleasant. When I was not in my room they would look for me for required medications or lab tests. They also seem to work as a team. No task is beneath anyone. The activities director Kelli has such a nice personality that even someone like me that typically does not join in was participating. Because I did not have anyone visiting me they made a point of making me not feel alone. Many of the staff were good but I had a special thanks to Noah Teddi Alfonso Sue Kelli Drew Odette and my wound care team. I was able to heal nicely by the time I was discharged thanks to their attention and care. Only issue is with the evening shift. I think they forget at times that it is bedtime for us even if it's just a work-shift for them. They would be quite loud and slam doors. Rooms are 2 people so if someone needs to be tended to in middle of the night or is hard of hearing that's a problem too.

This place is a money machine and should be reported for Medicare fraud as they absolutely did not provide the minimum PT, OT and ST hours mandated by Medicare for the reimbursement they received. Numerous charges for faceless docs, useless labs, no MyChart portal available for family and PCPs to review, lip service from the leadership and staff, completely inadequate medication management. In short, a nightmare of incompetence.

The…read morefacility is clean, with nice amenities like a cafe and dining room for those that want to be more social in the building. Initially, dad had a difficult time acclimating to his new surroundings but the staff and management went out of their way to make him feel at home - even gifting him a small TV for his apartment. They offer shuttle service to/from doctor appointments in the area which is very helpful for those who no longer are able to drive. And even in the independent living area, they have a staff person do regular wellness checks daily. The family feels that he's well taken care of and are grateful for the help he receives. My only very small issue is that the large building only has 2 elevators. Given that he lives on the 5th floor, it can sometimes be a 15 min wait to get on the elevator.

It was hard to have her move out of our home, but Sunrise couldn't have been more wonderful to her. It offered her a nice social life, my Mom was always the life of the party! She enjoyed her friends and finally engaged in a sport, Balloon Volleyball (I think the first sport activity she ever did as an adult). My Mom loved to eat out in restaurants and the dining room was run like a restaurant with a multitude of items to order. The food is good and they were accommodating with special requests. The administrative staff was professional, responsive, and compassionate, making a difficult time much easier to navigate. The nursing team treated my father with dignity, kindness, and genuine concern, while the PT/OT staff were knowledgeable, patient, and truly invested in his progress. The social worker was invaluable--guiding our family through care planning and next steps with clarity and empathy. The facility was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and well organized, and communication with our family was excellent throughout. Holis, a kind and patient, very bright and resourcefull aide came in and identified the problems. He quickly resolved the issue and then patiently explained to the resident how to operate the TV with multiple remotes and multiple apps until she felt comfortable operating it on her own. That is a great example of staff caring and dedication to enriching and empowering their residents. It was heartwarming to see.
