I requested someone for 3 nights who could help me after my surgery. Specifically, someone who could cook dinner. When I asked her to prepare dinner she informed me that she didn't cook. I instructed her on what to do and she followed my instructions on how to prepare dinner. She also wasn't familiar with my digital thermometer ( wasn't sure if it was placed under tongue or ear ) But the worst dealing was with finance department. I signed a contract and wrote a check for the agreed amount. Before my services even began the company cashed my check. After services ended they emailed me an invoice reflecting additional money owed. I requested to speak to someone in finance. Never received a call back. What I did receive was a debit on my checking account Yup, without my permission they paid themselves the additional charge that they claim I owe. This is illegal and fraudulent I do not recommend doing business with them.

In any case, after the last interaction, in which "Leslie" told us this was resolved, we got a collections notice in the mail.

They don't baby you but they do push you to get as healthy as you can as quick as you can while understanding each body is different - so they make a plan to fit each individual and they listen to you. Each person who works there knows just about every patient and will help out whenever they can. It's a place you can feel very comfortable while rehabbing. Most importantly I feel they got me back to where I can do many things I could not do before surgery. The…read more222 Westchester Ave location however, is in my favor especially since my knee orthopedist holds an office here. To add, when I had a torn meniscus surgery in late June, it was done at the Ambulatory Surgery Center feet away- on 226 Westchester Ave. The 222 Westchester location sits on I-287 with easy-access arrows from a distance leading you to their parking lot. Really do pay attention to the arrows- because they will lead you to the left side- not the right. Plus if you're seeing any of the orthopedics at 222, their main entrance is in the back. Since my initial January visit to now- for my wellness follow-ups after my surgery- I've never felt out of sorts. The waiting area gives you a nice first impression with contemporary neutral-colored walls, a pleasant ambiance, functionality and an easy flow. Chairs are sturdy- but comfortable and lighting has a nice glow. The 222 location works for me- as well as the others I've visited. Im extremely happy with my orthopedist. He's answered all my questions and is highly caring about how I've been healing.

The entertainment offered for the residents is wonderful. The staff in particular CNA Charmaine takes wonderful care of him, but I do have concerns about the evening staff. I am also not personally, not to happy with the rehabilitation aspect. The staff in this division are very nice and careful, in regards, to a person's condition; however, they do not have all of the required equipment required for OT or PT. Regardless, they are a separate entity from Cedar Manor and if you wish for a caring Administrator (Kelly Ann Byrne) and staff who cares for your loved one(s) this is the place. Must add, I also do not like you can't smoke anywhere. Why are residents who are smokers not allowed to live the last years of their life as they wish? There are areas where they can have a smoke or vape. Other than that it is a very caring administration and staff where my husband is located.

The problem is that if you have to go to the bathroom and need help the help doesn't come at least for a very long time. That was the experience of my mother. I spoke to a friend whose wife originally was in Cedar Manor and she experienced the same thing. It's true that there is a shortage of nurses in the United States but not all institutions are as bad as Cedar Manor. My friend moved his wife to a place north of Ossining and they took good care of his wife. When my brothers put my mother in Cedar Manor it was against my advice because she had been there once before and had complained about the wait there but my brothers didn't listen to me because they had been told by a staff member that there was a lot more staff than there was in the past. My mother was still ignored when she needed help.

She is also very knowledgeable about my condition and my needs associated with it. I was very satisfied and comfortable with her recommendations. I would highly recommend this wonderful person to anyone needing kindness mixed with professionalism in dealing with their physical challenges!
