The program is a breath of fresh air after the pressure of Pop Warner. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews on Yelp, but I think it's just that people that love it aren't posting reviews. If you are on the fence, sign your child up and try a season, you won't be disappointed, and if for some reason you are, at least you gave it a chance.

At one of the previous games a young college age coach put himself in the game every time his team had the ball. They won the game. What is that teaching the young kids on the field? Is winning more important than learning the game and teaching them about playing as a team? They were called out on it and the head of this "league" did not make the team forfeit the game, but had them play our team again. Last weekend's game was just as bad, if not worse. The coach brought in a very young player to play with our high school team. When asked why we have a young player on the field, he said that it was to add more depth. Meanwhile, two of the boys on the team sat out for most of the game. These two boys are ones who go to practice and put their heart into the game. This new young boy had not been to any other practices or games and was in for most of the game. If you look on the website, there is no contact information for the Commissioner of the league.

The trainers invest so much time and care into each athlete, and it shows not only in skill development but in confidence as well. This season our daughter earned a varsity spot at her high school and was placed in the top pairing for her first match -- a huge milestone that reflects the foundation built during her time at American Beach. She always comes home from practice with stories about what she learned, encouragement from the coaches, and the fun of competing alongside everyone. American Beach didn't just help her improve -- it gave her a genuine love for the sport. We're very thankful for this community and the impact the coaches have had on her both as a player and as a person. Highly recommend to any family looking for great training in a positive, supportive environment.
