Our id cards say referral needed. We went for colonoscopies as referred by our doctor only to learn this office did not process UHC Navigate referrals. As suggested, we requested a retroactive referral. They said it was NOT THEIR FAULT and refused. Many months later, we had $5k in bills and advised that we would pursue further actions to remedy the situation. They finally put through the retroactive referral and UHC Naviagate covered the procedures. We advised our doctor at our one year physical appointments of the issues with the staff. Following this appointment where my husband and I had blood taken and submitted to Quest. His results showed up in MyQuest the next day but my results never showed. The office promised to mail them to me but IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT. A month later, I called again, did you mail my results? Whoops, we are mailing today. I believe the office manager Kathy needs to understand that we don't care if it's NOT THEIR FAULT, we are looking for assistance in resolving the issue. Please refrain from saying it's NOT YOUR FAULT with your existing patients. Additionally, this office has instituted a $5 charge if your bill is not paid within 30 days. We will verify if this is permissible in CT.

Lately, I discovered there might be hearing aids that can help with this issue. While yes, the doctor did do a hearing test and I told him at the beginning I had this issue since birth. He processed to ask if I took any depression medication. When I told him yes, he said that was why I had my hearing disability. I started medication at 18. I was born with this disability The most ableist bullshit I ever did hear. The best part of it all he was not wearing a mask.

I believed she said that she would call me whether the new price was confirmed or not, but she meant to say that if there was a problem she would let me know. In the meantime she ordered the aids. He spent a good 30 minutes with me and genuinely listened to everything I had to say. He handed me a couple of print outs and also explained what he thought was wrong with me. More importantly, he took my concerns seriously and validated how I was feeling. He is a very intelligent doctor and has excellent bedside manners and I never once felt like he was trying to rush me out of his office like a lot of doctors do. I was personally pleasantly surprised by the care that I received from him. It's so rare to find great doctors today and I was so happy to have had met with him. His staff was great to work with also.
