Don't fucking bother storing your vehicle here. Before I left for deployment it was hurricane season and the lot was full of rocks. Figured I would pay to have the vehicle moved internal, as they promised the warehouse was temperature controlled and they'd take the batteries out of the car and keep them on what I understood to be a charger. Either that never happened and they left it in the car the whole 7 months or they took my brand new starter battery (The car was a couple months old) and gave me a shitty one. They left the secondary battery in and it's useless now. When I started the car on the lot I got the battery issue, which I didn't have before. They kept asking me how old the battery was, how the car just needs to warm up, how the battery may have died in the cold (I got back in November? Not that cold in NC the months prior) I asked why should it matter if it's internally stored in a temperature controlled environment and they couldn't answer me. Garbage service, unprofessional. Would give negative stars if it was possible. read more

After four years my vehicle was in their care. It looked EXACTLY like how it was when I gave them the keys as I was nervous since everything else seemed dorked up. The people I interacted are exceptional with customer service and listened to my needs initially. So, if you are a consumer trying to find a place to store your vehicle without ANY WORRIES, this is definitely the place to go as they treated my beloved car like it was their own vehicle. If you need to rent a moving truck do yourself a favor and go to U-Haul Moving & Storage of New River 425 S Marine Blvd Jacksonville, NC 28540 It seems at semper - fi their truck engines blow up from sitting in the parking lot overnight! what BS. If I could give negative stars I would. The audacity to treat Marines the way they do is disgusting and disgraceful. Idk if the base has a contract with these guys or not, but if so I would highly recommend it be terminated. It appears that it used to be owned by someone else - that's the only way I can fathom a good review. I also get the impression that the current owners/employees are prior service but why you would be a veteran treating ANYONE the way they do let alone active servicemembers is beyond me. I won't go into detail about our specific scenario but I was appalled by their conduct. I can't speak to the service provided as it was not my items being stored, but WOW. These are some miserable individuals. From a Marine to Marines - just don't. The last thing you want to deal with upon your return or leave your spouse to deal with are these individuals. By far once of the best experiences I've had with any commercial business. Tim and his staff are excellent with customer service and gave 100% to help me out of a tough situation. Moving from California to North Carolina, Tim offered and followed through on helping me move my car from the shipping company's drop off location to Semper Fi's indoor storage facility. Tim made me feel like family, and it was as if we had known each other for years. Karen was a delight to talk and work with. If you've moved a vehicle with any shipping company, not all times and dates are exact. Tim and Karen responded to all my miss calls, were overly flexible and courteous to my situation, were just descent human beings that showed care and appreciation for others. I cannot express in so many words the assistance that these people and business offered my family and me. Semper Fi is a must for storage and great with customer service! read more

Don't waste your time. Rude and unprofessional. Melanie provided five-star customer service. She even reserved a unit for me. However, when I went to the original facility and it was locked and saw the sign that said go to the other, I went to the other. The girl at the desk laughed in my face and told me I was at the wrong place and go to the other. Even though I had been told I could complete the contract at either location since one closed at 5pm and the other 7pm. It makes no sense I'm sure they scan the contract into the computer and share a database. When I got to the other location the gal was walking in the backdoor as I was walking in the front door. She spoke to me like I was old and hard of hearing. She cut me off mid-sentence several times. When I asked if I could take the contract home to complete because I did not have addresses for emergency contacts or my insurance policy number she went into a hissy fit. I'm not sure what was so proprietary about a contract ran off an in-house printer. I completed the contract and then she looked at me and asked, "You don't owe on anything you are putting in your unit?" I replied "no", and she looked at me like I was lying. Then she saw I only put phone numbers for the emergency contacts and said I needed addresses. I asked why don't they tell a person all this or put it on the website, so everything is completed in one visit. I asked if I could call her with the information and she said "no". She told me I should call the emergency contacts. I told her that was not possible "They work and are professionals, I can't call them." I then told her I needed to go home and get my address book. Again, I asked if I could take the contract to complete and she said no she had to shred it. As I was leaving, I asked if there was anything else, I needed since I already made about five attempts to complete the contract that day. I asked if they took cash or debit cards. I was gone probably less than fifteen minutes. When I returned, she did not greet me. I probably didn't say anything to her I was so angry. She slapped a new contract on the counter with a pen and went back to texting on her phone. So, I guess she had shredded my old contract. I looked at the new contract and my gut was telling me "if they are treating you like this now how will they treat you when they have your money and your belongings in their storage unit". So, I put down the pen and left. She didn't say a word to me. They must waste a heck of a lot of paper if they shred each contract when someone is missing information and must go home and get the info. I was going to prepay for six months. They lost my business because they treated me like a senile Private and wasted a great deal of my time with their silly little games. They don't even deserve one star. read more

Very poor customer service. I had my belongings in 2 separate same size storage units with them for over 2 years and they kept increasing my rent. Over $130 per unit. I kept asking management about a larger unit to put everything in, which would cost less money and the manager never got back with me. I kept calling about this and they kept giving excuses. The facility on Piney Green @ Hwy 24 is very nice however, but that facility was NOT built by Semper Fi; it was built and owned by a previous man whose employees gave excellent service; he then sold it to SF. When I finally bought a home here, I moved my things out on the last day of the month I paid for, with no notice (which renters are allowed to do under law) and the manager got very pissy with me, even threatened me. I regret not filing charges against him for harassment and making illegal threats. read more

What a class act! My son is stationed at Lejeune and when he was deployed we worried about where to store his truck. Tim and his crew were extremely kind and considerate to a mom in California. These guys are as rude as can be. I will never deal with them again. The manager craig is rude. The owner Mr carr is also rude. They are arrogant and disrespectful. However this company thinks they have the right to represent meaning behind Semper Fi is beyond me. This is coming from a combat vet. I expect nothing for free in life....I expect no favors or help....but I expect to be given respect...especially when I give it. I will make sure that I not only report this on every site I can...I will tell everyone I know. read more

Do not recommend this company at all. I just recently got out of the Marine Corps and canceled my storage unit on the 21st 6 days after they apparently charge on the 15th. They give a 4 day grace period to be prorated your rent after you pay it even though they did not charge me unit December 18th and I was out and let them know the 21st which would be within that grace period they are unwilling to help at all, so I paid $98 for 6 days in a storage unit. Ridiculous, and on top of that I had rented from them for 2 years. Never missed a payment or caused trouble read more

I'd give negative stars. Considering the name is Semper Fi storage, you would think they'd be understanding to military families and those deployed. My husband put his car in storage along with our belongings before deployment and was told I could pick it up before he got back. He called a few days before I'd get there and they told him no he's the only one even though I'm on it with him. Inconsiderate and just horrible customer service. read more

While I was out of the country for a deployment my wife was told out boat needed to be moved that day or it would be towed. Thankfully she called Semper-Fi where they not only had room for the boat but also offered to pick it up for her as soon as she said she didn't know who to tow it. Within a couple of hours she had met the owner and his son in person and the boat had been moved. After 6 months we went to pick up the boat and were very impressed with the highly secured facility and with how well they keep up with the items in their facility. We were also very impressed with the customer service and the fact that the owner came on Christmas eve so we could pick it up. Semper-Fi is a great company that I would recommend to anyone. They are excellent for anyone who is deploying and is looking for a secure location for their belongings. read more

Tim at Semperfi Storage took such good care of my son's vehicle while he was deployed. His car broke down the day before he left and Tim & crew referred me to Sanderson's to do the repair's and I couldn't have been happier with the results as I live in WA state and was unable to travel to NC to take care of things. When and if he needs to store his vehicle again it will be at Semperfi Storage. read more

This review is for the sister Semper Fi storage at 2757 PINEY GREEN RD, MIDWAY PARK, NC 28544. I have been at this place for several years paying what is one of the highest rents around. I wanted the climate control to prevent my considerable library of books from getting mold in this wet climate. The inside units have NO light in them. I have been on the east and west coasts as well as Gulf south region and northern states and this is the first place with zero lights. A flashlight doesn't cut it in the dark cave. I asked management for a plug to run lights into my unit and was told there were no outlets at all. I did find one on the outside of the building but was harshly threatened by a boorish thug of a manager who threatened to throw me out of my unit for using "his electricity". Honestly, LED lights use about 23 watts of electricity and for an hour that is maybe a penny or two. His office of women appear to be intimidated by this brute and cower when he is around. All around this is a crappy place to do business and I STRONGLY recommend looking elsewhere for better customer service and price. I gave one star because zero stars might be considered a choice not to answer. But my rating is zero stars. read more
