We had a very nice seat in the front of the restart by the window which was a great spot. Great ambiance for a date night... or any type of great evening with friends and family. I enjoyed my pasta with clams and my husband absolutely loved his eggplant parmesan. I tried a piece and it was delish! We weren't drinking that night but the cocktails looked amazing. Next time I want to try their pizza ... and other dishes too. Pro Tip: Parking is tough around First Ave. On a Saturday night, leave plenty of time to find a good parking spot.

Strada has a great atmosphere in Atlantic Highlands and works well for a casual dinner or a night out with family and friends. If you can sit outside I would as the inside is very busy and somewhat cramped. The food was great and made with quality ingredients, but I found the staff somewhat underwhelming overall. While everything was prepared great, nothing really stood out or felt particularly memorable. We have been here twice and found both times the cramped space plus the hectic atmosphere/busy-ness made it difficult to have a good sit down conversation. The first time we went we waited an hour and a half after ordering to get our food-my fiance insisted on staying but I would have left at the 45 minute mark. The experience wasn't bad, but it also didn't leave me eager to return. There are some positives here, but considering the service, and overall value, I felt it was just average and didn't quite meet my expectations.

They gave me the # for a place down the street which delivered a bottle of wine in about 6 minutes - right to my table. But the food is the deal. Several standout veal and pasta dishes. A special they have regularly is a swordfish on the bone; if they have it, GET IT. It's a whole different experience than a regular (dry) piece of swordfish. The owner Ron walks the restaurant throughout service to make sure everything is running smoothly for everyone, so it does. We've been coming here since it opened 14 years ago and we've never once been disappointed. I don't generally post reviews, but after a fantastic birthday dinner this week I realized it was time to share!

Very welcoming and hospitable from the hostess to the servers, and even the chefs made a point to say hello. You can definitely tell it's a local spot with a loyal crowd and friendly atmosphere. The appetizers were honestly the highlight of the night. We had the fried burrata, baked clams, and the egg rolls, and all were flavorful and enjoyable. The bread was also delicious. For entrees, we ordered the Chicken Margherita and the Rigatoni Alla Sharon. The chicken was decent, simple and comforting, but nothing particularly memorable. I felt like the chicken itself could have used a little more seasoning and flavor. The biggest disappointment of the night was unfortunately the pasta dish. The Rigatoni Alla Sharon was extremely overcooked to the point where the pasta was very soft and mushy. It lacked salt and overall just didn't have the texture or flavor you hope for in a good pasta dish. We were excited to share it and it just fell flat. Overall, I'd say the appetizers alone are worth trying, but the entrees were a bit hit or miss based on our experience. The atmosphere is cute, welcoming, and clearly loved by locals, and the staff truly were wonderful throughout the night.

Our server knew to have sharing plates, extra napkins, ketchup (lol) . The view is stellar and is perfect for distracting toddlers. Espresso martini is perfect! (What a surprise!) not too sweet and tasted like real coffee was used. Crab cakes are consistently delicious with remoulade that will make you want to drink it. Fish sandwich hits everytime and always always order the calamari for appetizer. Consistent, swift, tasty, and service is perfect for young families.

It always looked like such a cool place, and I had been really interested in checking it out. I finally made it there the other day, after a brief afternoon at a local beach. When we arrived around 6:30 pm on that Friday evening, we could see that the back deck was very full and that the parking lot was also close to capacity. We were able to, thankfully, grab a spot and walked over to the restaurant, climbing the stairs to the second floor where we met the hostess. We were told that the wait for outdoor seating was 40-minutes, while indoors was 30-minutes. Glancing around, the inside dining room was casual and nautically-themed. The tables and bar were bustling. The balcony was just as busy, but offered live music, so we determined that it would be worth waiting the additional time and added our name to the list. In the meantime, we decided to hang by the outdoor bar but were unable find a spot. Thankfully, a duo was vacating one of the few high-top tables in the bar section, which were first-come, first-serve. We grabbed that table and settled in to watch the beautiful sunset over the boats docked in the harbor. The staff and the few patrons we encountered during our visit were all very friendly, which only emphasized the laidback vibe of the waterside venue. The food, however, was mediocre at best. When our dinner was delivered, we did not receive any silverware, so we had to grab that from the bar, which was also from where we had placed our order. I had requested the Pan-Seared Salmon, which was well-cooked and served with thin stalks of asparagus, dry jasmine rice, and a huge amount of buttery garlic herb sauce. It made sense that the fish was served in a bowl, because there was so much greasy butter that it would have leaked all over if it was on a flat plate. Thankfully, the bartender had given me a few side plates, so I was able to move my food out of the oily bowl. My friend also had some issues with her meal. Her cup of New England Clam Chowder was flavorful, but watery and mostly broth. Her Fried Flounder Sandwich was heavily breaded and served with an unripe tomato and mushy, oily fries. From a beverage perspective, they had surprisingly interesting cocktails, but I was thrilled to see my favorite beer, Kane Head High, on tap. We simply loved the view, live acoustic tunes from P.D. Brody, and the overall relaxing atmosphere. However, we felt that the food could have been better executed. The menu offered all kinds of seafood and higher-end bar food, but the preparation left something to be desired.

They have a great selection of slices, I ordered the white pizza with all the yummy ricotta and broccoli and my husband had their sausage and pepperoni. The pizza is thin crusted and flavorful. The server that helped us was helpful and chatty, telling us what other restaurants are around, who has the best happy hour, really fun. We enjoyed our slices so much that we stopped by again, the same day, and I got the white pizza and spinach. Hey, when you find a good slice, you enjoy it! David got the sausage pizza. We also picked up some garlic knots. What a treat! The restaurant is typical, simple New Jersey strip mall. Nothing to write home about, however they serve up great thin crust pizza. They do serve up other Italian fare, someone was picking up a huge order of lasagne, eggplant parm and meatballs, sounded delicious. Based on the person in the back folding boxes, they seem to be very popular. We tried the other pizza in town, but prefer Pomodoro's thinner no flop pizza!
