But don't let that put you off - they have everything your traveller or commuter could need. I've popped in here countless times for travel sickness tablets, panadol, nail polish, water, gaviscon (reflux is so sexy right now), snack - you name it, I've probably been here to buy it It's a small store but there's a pharmacy counter, makeup, food and lots of other travel essentials. I would normally pick up painkillers from the nearby Tesco or Co-Op but was in need of something a bit more substantial last week and picked up some over the counter medicine in here that sorted me out. They also do prescriptions and are open on Sundays which is decent. Friendly wee place.

I was able to ask the pharmacist a bunch or questions and they recommended something for the member of my group that would work perfectly. They were patient, friendly, and made sure I had the answers and medicine that was needed. I find this kind of hospitality seriously lacking in retail in general. People could learn from the folks at this Boots pharmacy. Aside from the excellent pharmacy, this Boots is enormous, well stocked and unlike a lot other Boots I have been to, it is all on one floor, so finding things does not require trips up and down escalators.

During the Christmas period a large section of the store is given over to selling gifts and toys. There's also a pharmacy and a photo-lab. The only problem is that I find the store quite tricky to navigate. I'm not sure if they mvoe things around a lot, or if I just have a poor sense of direction, but it always takes me ages to find what I want. They'll definitely have it in stock, I just won't know where to look for it. Perhaps the different sections could be better sign posted.

Given its location though, near a Semi Chem (cheap), Lush (pricy but EPIC) and a Boots (expensive and reliable) I'm not sure what sort of place there is for this store, though I suspect it is most popular with females. Pricewise though, this place is really good and at the end of the day, that's what it will come down to for most people, myself included, which is why I would rather go to Semi-Chem.

Ever since I arrived in Glasgow, I've been on a quest to purchase a new tongue scraper. I've popped into every Boots and SuperDrugs I've come across and none have had one. This Boots not only had what I was looking for, it also had multiple varieties of tongue scrapers, some of which I'd never even seen before. These self-checkouts (that actually work, unlike the ones you find in the US) are starting to grow on me. Not that I'm anti-social, but not having to interact with a cashier could come in handy...

I did have at least once great customer service experience in here when I was hunting down a mirror that my Mum wanted that magnified so deep into your face you could see blemishes that didn't even exist yet. Instead it keeps on providing it's normal service of branded make up, shampoos and other bath related products without a sound. This place also has quite a good food section (I suppose it must do quite a good trade with the staff of the many nearby offices) - although it's nowhere near as big as the food sections in the bigger boots stores (i.e. the one at the other end of Sauchiehall Street). It also has a fairly sizable chemist, probably with a much smaller waiting time than the other chemists in the city centre. Conclusion - this place is really useful if you're in the area and need to pop in for something to eat and a couple of bits and pieces. But if you're wanting to do a proper Boots shop you should probably just go along to one of the bigger Boots stores which are ten minutes down the road.

I've been looking for something for dehydrated skin (the bane of my life) and decided to pop in here to see if I could get some help. Now this review was nearly a 2-star because the staff initially seemed a bit like they couldn't be assed and I was struggling to catch someone's else even though I'd been loitering in the skin care area for ages. Finally I got someone to help me and she was great - actually really helpful, showing me the products and happily gave me decent sized mini tubs to take home and try. I mean, if I'm going to spend £60 on moisturiser, I want to make sure it's amazing. This store is also a lot bigger than I expected and has a range of candles/bubble baths. If you're looking for something a bit more upmarket than Boots/Superdrug for your skin care and makeup, then Space NK is pretty damn amazing.

I was once put in the direction of "Dr. Seabagh Foaming Cleanser" after a couple of months of breakout hell. I'd tried everything and this was a last resort, It wasn't cheap, £22 for 100ml bottle and I was sceptical but I decided to give it a go. It cleared up my skin in about 5 days, it was like a miracle! I swore by the stuff for nearly two years but then I moved to Germany for ten months and it stopped working. It could have been the water there but I haven't used it since. I might pop back soon to give it another shot as when it worked the results were fantastic and I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for quick results for breakouts. As far as I'm aware Space NK is the only stockist in Glasgow, hurrah! They used to stock loads of Philosophy products but they don't have so many anymore. My favourite purchase from here was a lipgloss set from Philosophy which was called "A Few Good Men", these men were, "The Muffin Man" - a lemon muffin flavoured lipgloss, "The Gingerbread Man" - a tasty gingerbread lipgloss and my favourite, "The Ice-Cream Man." Unfortunately they don't have this set anymore, but who knows, maybe one day they'll make a return. Space NK is great, quite expensive but sometimes you need to pay that little bit extra when it comes to cosmetics. They also do sales now and then so you could grab yourself a bargain!
