I love a good browse in Boots, as a complete makeup and beauty junkie I spend far too much time there! This one has everything you could ever need from a pharmacy. It has a large selection of medicine, baby things, a photo printing section, makeup from 'drugstore' cheaper brands to high end makeup counter brands, every toiletry under the sun, a good food selection - as far as a meal deal for a quick lunch you can't beat a Boots one for £3.29! I'm sure I've missed something out but you get the jist. I'm not sure if deals (bogof etc.) vary depending on location? I'm sure they do so if so, this one usually has a good selection of deals on shampoos, deodorant etc. on the go. This will seem very nitpicky but I have given this branch 4 instead of 5 stars as I almost find it a little too big. I love it for a browse but to pop in for cotton pads it's a bit much. read more

Biggest. Pharmacy. Ever. Two big ole floors at the far corner of the shopping center away from the Sauchiehall Street entrance are filled to the brim with dry goods, cosmetics, hygiene products, and more! Ever since I arrived in Glasgow, I've been on a quest to purchase a new tongue scraper. I've popped into every Boots and SuperDrugs I've come across and none have had one. This Boots not only had what I was looking for, it also had multiple varieties of tongue scrapers, some of which I'd never even seen before. These self-checkouts (that actually work, unlike the ones you find in the US) are starting to grow on me. Not that I'm anti-social, but not having to interact with a cashier could come in handy... read more

Good old Boots, it has helped me out for so many different things. If I'm shopping in Buchanan Galleries and need a little bit of an energy boost then I'll head here for their amazing £2.99 meal deal where you can choose any sandwich, plus and drink and a bag of crisps, piece of fruit, bar of chocolate or yoghurt. What an absolute bargain! Plus, you can get Boots advantage points on this amazing deal too. I love the advantage card and as I buy a lot of things from Boots I can often choose a freebie after a few months with the points I've accumulated on my advantage card. This Boots has to be my favourite, they have such a huge selection of everything and the staff are really friendly and helpful here too. I was looking for a perfume a while ago and the girl at the perfume counter recommended plenty of gorgeous scents and even gave me some free samples to take away with me. I ended up putting some of the samples in my wardrobe and now my wardrobe smells like a florists. They have a huge cosmetic range at this branch too and I particularly like the Ruby & Millie make-up brushes which are fabulous quality and only a fraction of the price of brands like MAC. The pharmacy is what Boot's is best known for and the staff here are very knowledgeable so if you're feeling a little under the weather but not enough to go to the doctors then head here to see what Boots pharmacists recommend. Even if the queue at the pharmacy is long they won't rush you away and they have plenty of staff on the keep the queue moving quick smart so you won't have to wait for ages behind a hypochondriac like myself when all you want is your £2.99 meal deal. As a cult follower of over priced, usually over hyped make up brands, it came as a huge surprise when I stumbled upon No.7's new range of foundations. I was reading up on the best high street brands when I came across the new colour match scheme from No.7 - normally I would be deterred by their over 50's advertising with empty promises to lift and fill in wrinkles... However I went along to get a free 'colour match'! An exciting prospect, I know, and with the help of a glamorous yet incredibly down to earth assistant she had matched my skin tone exactly within seconds and recommended the best foundation for my skin. As a cheeky wee extra I threw in a highlighter (Boots is renowned for it's brilliant but one get one half price offers) and when fronted with my statement about how I thought the lady had converted me over from my usual Estée Lauder, she even threw in a free full sized lipgloss!! Never would you get this VIP treatment from MAC, in fact you'd be lucky to get eye contact. All in all I'm glad I made the brave decision to go high street. Not only will I go back, but their purse friendly prices will be enticing me over for some mid-month mini treats. read more

I've always liked Boots and this is one of the larger branches. The main floor has a great selection of beauty products, make up and hair care and an extensive perfume selection. I particularly like some of the brands which you don't seem to get anywhere else - some Lee Stafford hair products have been working wonders on my tired locks recently, and the Soap and Glory bath products leave you feeling and smelling delicious. The top floor has a selection of medicines, an opticians, baby section and is where the Christmas gifts / sets are located. My bug bear at the moment is its only October and there is already a mass of Christmas goods and gift guides available but then most stores jump on that bandwagon as soon as the darker nights set in. One of the major advantages of Boots is the Advantage Card where you can collect points on everything you purchase. Points can then be redeemed in store and online and its nice to save them up and treat yourself. These soon add up especially if like me you're partial to the odd Boots meal deal (a sandwich, snack and drink - also located on the upper level). The meal deals are great in that the sandwiches/ wraps etc are really tasty yet the Shapers range in particular, has a healthier range of options many of which are veggie friendly! The staff are always friendly and helpful in this store and its great to just have a browse looking at all the lovely stuff on offer and plan your next beauty treat! read more

I'm not a huge fan of Boots in general, but this store is a good'n. I find the shampoos and soaps and all that sort of nonsense to be pretty expensive here (I seem to be bangomg on about Bodycare a lot lately, but it's the same stuff for so much cheaper!). However, they do have some good amenities. There's a photo processing centre, a pharmacy, a food section, and - most importantly - make-up counters! While they don't have the full shabang of staffed high-end counters, what they do have is good enough for me in most instances. They stock No 7, Maybelline, Maxfactor, Naturals, and so on. There are usually deals on the odd product too, which is always good. I love most of Maybelline's mascaras so I'm always chuffed when I can get a chunk of the price off when I need a new one. It also gives you a chance to try something new that you normally wouldn't splash out on. Overall this Boots isn't enormous like the one at the Fort, but is big enough to stock a good range of items, and it's well laid out so that you're not lost in racks of cold medicines when all you wanted was a can of hairspray. read more

I went in to pick up a prescription and get some photos developed which I thought would only take about 10/15 minutes. I must've been in the shop for about 40 minutes. First, I had a prescription waiting but when I got to the counter the pharmacist told me it had arrived yesterday and now they couldn't find it. He walked away and then a new person started to ask me questions about it. There was no attempt to tell me what was going on so I stood at the counter for ages and then finally they brought it over without even saying sorry or mentioning anything about my long wait. I then went to go and hand in some photos to get processed and stood at an empty desk for twenty minutes until someone came over. The lady wasn't meant to be working at the photo counter and when the photo person turned up she wasn't very friendly. The shop wasn't busy at all so I expected to be in and out. My two stars are to the lady who came over as she tried to ring someone to get me and she was very friendly and apologised - if only the other staff were like her! read more

This great big branch of Boots is easy to get lost in, losing yourself and quite a few more pennies than you would have liked along the way. The shelves here are stocked with lots of lovely things, some practical and some pamperful, all appealing to our inner indulgent streak. There are painted ladies waiting eagerly so spritz and smear you with a whole load of scents and cosmetics, however the most persistent are often pedalling the most pricey of products. One of the best things about Boots is their meal deals, offering a great selection of sandwiches, wraps and pastas, which you can combine with any drink and any snack for only £2.99. There is an amazing assortment or fruit, cakes, smoothies and sandwiches to mix and match to create a filling and finance friendly lunch. read more

I love boot's but hate when they have a revamp or decide to move some shelves elsewhere to confuse the customers who are used to going to a particular place pick up their items. Even though they are a chemist they also sell drinks, sandwiches for lunch meal deals. There are electrical items like shavers and hair dryer's there too. read more

I popped in to take advantage of the great half price Christmas deals, I nabbed a few bargains too! It's a bright well lit store over a couple of different floors and is easy to get to. Staff have always been helpful when I have approached them and they now have a good few self service tills, though mine got stuck in a bit of a loop today.... Unidentified item.... Place item in bagging area.... Unidentified item... And so on, other than that it was a very pleasant shopping trip :-) read more

I had the Flu one day and I made the mistake of going into this Boots. Don't get me wrong, Boots DO sell medicine. Finding it in here is another story. The store is a shanty town of things a man will never need. Lipsticks, face creams and replacement hot water bottle covers... but no medicine to be seen. It's more like an expedition than a shopping trip, I spent at least half an hour wandering the isles looking for some Beechams. At certain points scattered around the store, they have set up little seating areas. These are base camps for other confused shoppers, usually the elderly and places to exchange information about the location of the illusive medicine counter. On day 49 of my adventure, I finally found the it...and what a bounty it was! Buy One Get One Free! I took my spoils and joined the line for the checkout. Several years later, I emerge to find a different world, where all my family and friend has grown up or died, but I'm comforted that I got a free packet of Beechams. Please put the meds somewhere near the front of the store, or at least put on a Minibus to take us there! read more

The worst service I have received in a very long time. Popped in to boots as I had to pick up my free items as being part of the boots baby club you get free things now and again but I had missed the previous items so didn't want to miss these. Once I found a member of staff I asked her if they still had the boots card machines that you go to and print off vouchers (as I thought this is still needed) however she had no clue what I was to along about & it turns out once you add the voucher to your card via the app or online the till can see it to take the voucher off. I told the girl what I was on for and she simply said "well I don't know anything about baby club". I asked that she go find someone to ask as I was in for a reason, after about 5-10 mins she came back and advised "I can't find anyone" and stared at me with a blank face. At this point I was bitting my tongue (pregnancy hormones maybe) but come on, you work here I don't. I asked that she go and find someone that can help as I need assistance and simply saying she can't find anyone isn't acceptable. Obviously I got a blank look but another member of staff walked over and said maybe go and ask at the chemist!!. I asked at the chemist and again got nowhere except they did ask a lady who I think was the pharmacist and she went to xxl if they had the items I was in to pick up. Unfortunately they didn't have them and she advised I would need to try another store but jut to pick them up and take them to the till where the voucher will ring through on my card. My husband is more tolerant than me but he had to walk away or he would have complained. I will certainly be writing a complaints letter. read more
