The librarian read 3 books that were part of the Lunar Year genre and in between had some mini interactive song activities. Love that my daughter participated. At the end of storytime they crafted a Snake and that was definitely my 3yo favorite. It's nice that the public libraries provide these kinds of free activities for the kids. My daughter did a great job listening though at times it was a bit challenging to hear. Would love to join in another Storytime event. Plenty of free parking.

Fast and friendly service and you can come here to drop off batteries and lightbulbs as well. Lots of fun things for the kiddos to do as well as many events scheduled.

This library is located on Bullard and Marks in North west Fresno. I his here to get books, use the…read morecomputers, and print documents as needed. I bring my kids here to play because they have a children's section. There are toys and games for the kids. My kids enjoy the computer programs they have for kids in that section. Inside the library is a quiet room with magazines and newspapers. It also had a door that closes that keeps the noise out pretty well. The books and DVD selection is good the staff is great at assisting to order from other libraries if they don't have what you are looking for. There are restrooms that are well attended to. For thus being such a great resource in the community it should have more space. In my opinion. There is usually plenty of spaces to park and the parking lot is usually well lit.

This library has its ups and downs. It's small, but has a decent collection of recently published…read morebooks. I grew up going to this library, so it's an old favorite. I'd love to give them 5 STARS because: The two workers I've met there who were incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful were gentlemen. If you need help and see a man at the Information Desk or the front desk, you'll find what you're looking for. They deserve 1 STAR because: There were a couple of times when I met with completely rude service. Once, when I wanted to renew some books I had checked out, the two women helping me complained noisily about the number of books I had checked out. I'm sorry, I enjoy reading and needed those books for work references. One of them didn't even know how to renew only certain books, so I told her to just renew them all at once if it was easier. She just told me I couldn't renew them any more. Another time when I asked for a book from a woman at the Information Desk, she told me to use the internet catalog. Why? Because she was too busy looking up houses and browsing the internet during work hours to help a customer. I hope that this library seriously reviews their employees soon.

Then when I proceeded to go they would not give it to me since my I.D IS 2 days expired! I just had my birthday. Instead I called my bf and to see if he was willing to get it. So he drove a whole hour later.. just for the staff to reject him too! They lied and said he came. We are able to provide the book for you. Even asked for my last name to put on the book with a sticky note. But why would you need my last name if my man is coming to provide his info???? They didn't even acknowledge us when I came the second time back with my boyfriend. Then they proceeded to lie and say oh there was no book! Like wow!!!! They need to really hire friendly and helpful staff. Not children who give no eye contact. The Asian guy, black girl, and blonde just stared. The only help was the shaved girl with glasses and she had no location for the book but was the one who lied and told me that I should wait an hour until my boyfriend got there. I will never come back in this library again, it was an awful experience. They were not working but instead on their phones staring at the desk down and not up to see how they can help. I had to ask the Asian guy to go get whoever is ahead in charge because he told me he didn't want to help us. Fresno state... why are you having kids work here if they can't talk to the public like adults?

Staff were very careful how they brought out the books to us. They were also very friendly. We do miss the experience of going inside of the library to browse though. This is a public library, and I believe everyone should be treated respectfully. I've also heard from others that she has a reputation for being unfriendly. I'm concerned about how someone with that kind of attitude is representing the library such a nasty dirty woman.
