It's been well over five years now, and it still looks good. The good: Everything is solid, and high quality. The manufacturing is as local as local can get - as it is made just a few miles away, but you'd swear it was made in Italy, given the craftsmanship. The local manufacturing was a huge plus for me, as I wanted to keep my carbon footprint small. The installation went as well as could be expected - every major kitchen install is complicated and filled with issues. The could-be-better: There was a lot of conflict between my architect, my contractor, and NY Loft. I doubt you would have any such issues if you just use NY Loft as your designer, contractor, and installer. But if you need them to work with others, and have others work with them, stand back, because there will be major fireworks. In spite of that, everything got done. The bottom line is that they were trustworthy, and they got the job done, and it all looks good and functions well. They are headstrong and have tempers, and they may not always play nice with others, but when all is said and done, they are professional. The project might take a while, and there will be bumps along the way. Kitchens are complicated, and any kind of renovation in NYC is especially complicated. However, I would recommend NY Loft to anyone who is willing to go the distance in a renovation - they'll go the distance for you.

Having completed several months of use of Raumplus panels in my apartment, I wish to recommend both…read morethe product and the installation contractor. My job requirements were quite large and complex for a residential sliding panel installation. I needed to have an existing fixed wall knocked down between bedroom and living room, plus new closets built, and construction of a frame -- with a new header and studs at each end -- to hold the panels. Plus substantial work to level the existing floor and install new oak to hold the floor tracks, as well as the six 4' wide by 10' high panels themselves. The panels and contractor workmanship are of the highest quality. The visual realization of the panel design is utterly pleasing and integrated with the apartment as a whole. As important, the strong and precise design of the panels allows them to move effortlessly on their tracks, which I might add, essentially disappear into the floor. The recommended contractor showed up on time and made substantial progress each day. They did the heavy lifting of accepting and moving the doors into the apartment. The contractor was entirely trustworthy in keeping to his reasonable estimate and delivering the promised work. Finally, the men cleaned the space each day after their work, to keep the apartment livable during construction. I have supplied photos of the final installation, which will immediately support my comments, to the manager of the NYC Raumplus office. I recommend the Raumplus products, and the independent contractor, to any residential or commercial customer for small or very substantial jobs.

The Stone Shop saved the day…read more We were in the middle of renovating our bathroom when our contractor informed us that the 5' long X 3" wide marble saddle under the shower door was too narrow and we needed to get a 5 inch wide one right away. We tried to find one on-line, we went to Lowes and Home Depot, and we could not find one that matches what we need, and the contractor needed it ASAP. We remember THE STONE SHOP did our kitchen last year so we called and Ashley told us to come over right away and pick out a slab we like and she will have it cut to the right size for us. We went there at 11 am and selected one that matches our wall tile color and Ashley said she will have a piece cut out to our specification by 3pm. We went back at 3pm that same afternoon and the piece was all ready for pick-up, all polished to perfection. We brought it back home and the contractor installed it right away. They were incredible in thinking out of the box to help us out. I cannot thank them enough for saving the day. They were friendly, accommodating, and affordable. They did not jack up the price just because it was an emergency. They will bend over backward to help you out. Thank you Ashley and Frank for making life so much easier for us.
