Totally satisfied customer. Very impressed…read more The entire sales process was quick (in person site inspection within 24 hours of my first call) and no pressure. Great showroom gives you a chance to mix and match ideas and prices. Installation was scheduled within days. Tech showed up on-time in a spring blizzard and completed everything quickly. Completely cleaned up work site... gave full demo of gear... tested safety features. Follow-up phone call confirmed our satisfaction. Billing was super easy. Prices were very reasonable. Our new door should last 25 years... otherwise I'd be a return customer.

In the past (going back several years) I've had nothing but excellent service from this company…read more But recently one of my garage doors was damaged when a landscaper's truck backed up into it. I called Ed's and they told me they could come out to look at it, but because my home is now outside their service area (it wasn't when they installed and serviced my doors and openers in the past) there would be a travel charge of $75. I agreed and a technician was dispatched to my home to evaluate the damage. I was also charged for an hour of labor (about another $175). I was told someone would get back to me with a repair estimate but weeks went by without a response. I contacted them and I was told they would get back to me. I've waited nearly two months now and still never got a response. At the very least they could have just told me to go elsewhere for service, but instead kept me hanging. This is NOT the same company I've dealt with in the past.

I had to Mission Fourth of July to find a contractor in Stanford that can come late at night and…read morefix a broken overhead door. I knew it wasn't going to be an easy task but I also knew I can get them to come in the lower stuff to go home and celebrate Fourth of July. I started by going on yelp and Google searching for a local company with not much luck none of them took my call. As a last resort I gave a call to another garage door rental we working with in the east side of Connecticut. He told me that he might be able to find someone to give him like 10 minutes to make some calls. Five minutes later I'm getting a call from him telling me that he spoke to a colleague of him from Stanford garage doors and gates and that you promised them sending someone. Half an hour later I had a team of technicians working on the door and put it back in place. One hour of work and the door is up and running. Thank you very much for what you did and happy Fourth of July to all of us.

Do not trust them. They said they had a Liftmaster in the truck and could install it right away…read more They then install a Chamberlain and say it's the same thing. It's not. They've blocked my number and won't return any emails. The garage door supposedly has a 60 parts/labor guarantee and the door is already broken a month later. It opens/closes then opens again and the lights flash. It's noisier than the 20yr old Liftmaster that was previously there and sluggish when opening and closing. The number on the invoice is also different and seems like Thomas (could be a fake name) operates under multiple companies and this is their tactics. Wish I never paid cash or I would have done a chargeback already. Link to their other business where other people have similar experiences. https://yelp.to/s6cWEqV5Jmb

Requested replacement for bottom rubber seal of garage door..Lifetime stated they would need to…read morecome out and take a look. When tech got here he said he had the material and asked if I wanted both doors done. Since I hadn't been quoted, I asked how much. He asked if I wanted to do both doors and i said yes. Told me with labor $175. Never communicated that the price for the seal($20 worth of material) was per door. I agreed to two doors for $175 to get it done. When completed he attempted to charge $175 per door($350!!) for total of 20 minutes work. It was then that I found out it was a third party contractor. Before giving me invoice he also told me my springs should be replaced and he could do that now. Told him I would wait for springs. Thought I was dealing with a reputable company and not a third party contractor. Will not call Lifetime again.

Completely unprofessional with shoddy workmanship…read more On April 3rd, I contracted Lifetime Overhead Door of Stamford to replace a broken spring on my garage door. Due to a scheduled flight, we were unfortunately unable to remain until the work was entirely finished and had to leave our neighbor to oversee the completion of the repair by their technician, Ben. I paid the agreed-upon fee of $850 via Zelle upon notification that the job was done. Upon our return on April 24th, we discovered that the garage door now makes significant clunking noises and the opener is clearly laboring against the newly installed spring. I contacted their office on Saturday and was assured a technician would arrive the following morning (Sunday). We waited the entire morning, but no one appeared and we received no communication regarding a delay or rescheduling. We called them on Sunday afternoon to inquire where the technician was and they didnt answer or return the voicemail. On Monday we called againand we were told that someone would be dispatched immediately, yet again, no one arrived. Since then, I have made numerous attempts to contact their company, including at least a dozen phone calls, many of which were met with being hung up on. I even contacted Ben directly, who promised a prompt return call that never occurred. I emailed their managment who did not respond either. I ultimately called anotehr company to come to my home to evaluate the work that had been done and to repair the door so it would work properly. They identified several bearings that needed replacement and the spring that Lifetime used was of poor quality. I would NEVER use this company again.
